Its so hard to know with all this vigiliante activity amongst the ranks of the armed forces! Perhaps this is all a ploy to divert our attentions away from the hired help, who would all be in need of some gold, food etc just to get ahead in this world thereby perhaps lowering there scruples towards treasonous acts and the murder of the King and countless other loyalists! Nice Set Review I really liked the narrative for the Review. I must have missed your Custom Base back in June, also well constructed and great story too!

Still saw plenty at my Kmart, and i had contemplated buying one but $179 is still a little pricey bearing in mind what is coming out soon!

Fellow Aussies FOL i have just emailed the following to Lego in an attempt to hopefully acquire the DS at $399 AUS, could i ask if any of you see the price drop back down from $630 aus to post it here or PM me so i can snap one up! I went online last night to look at it again and saw the astonishing increase in price of 57% to AU$630.00. This is a ridiculous price increase on a set i was greatly looking forward to purchasing at the price of $400 AU plus postage. I had already decided to save some money until it was released on the 16th of September, however this increase has left me with no other resort than to not purchase this great Lego set. Lego - if myself and others had known the price would rocket we would have ordered.. Just check out the negative reaction this is having on forums at Rebelscum.com and Eurobricks.com to name but a few. People now will not buy an over-hiked set. All we ask is that you play fair.. If we had known of any increase I promise you would have had at least double your current orders for this piece.. Were you just gauging reaction to a set that all Sw fans have been screaming for and realised that you could get more money out of us? Or was it really a marketing ploy for one week - if so where was the harm in letting the public - your Customers- know? For 10 years I have collected SW lego and as a completist have spent more than I care to think on bricks ( Check my history if necessary). However I'm sure that i'm not alone in how I feel. Please Lego I appeal on behalf of all Lego SW fans take the price back down for at least a week and watch the pre-orders pile in. If nothing else Lego please explain why you can justify a price hike like this overnight. many thanks for reading and I look forward to your (non-automated) reply." EDIT: i also rang the Australian Lego no. and the nice lady who answered was surprised to hear that the price had increased so much and will look into it for me (im not holding out hope for a discount of $230 though, but you never know)

Well at this stage the dream is over! and here i thought lego was going to be fair with the USvsAUS $, i guess there may still be a chance on eBay or in 2 years when they clear old stock out of TLG Poor form LEGO! bring back the $399Aus price

I really like the look of this set and 99 seems a fair price, i can only assume its a TRU exclusive but you never know. Might wait to see if i can get it 20% off though as SW and Castle are my priorities for now, and death stars dont grow on trees....

wow nostalgia! I remember this set from my early days. I really used to dig the light rail too the waiting spaceship! The memory is so hazy, i cant remember whether i owned it or my next door neighbour. I definitely owned the buggy with rocket on back seen in the second pic though. Man those space guys really got to relax back in the day, clear mug and beds and a room with a view Nice Review Brickster!

I really like the look of this Impulse set! even though i sold off my MM sets to buy SW i kept my Astro fighter and this impulse set really appealed from the moment i laid eyes on it. I feel the swooshability and cool extras like the double sided face far outweigh the lack of cockpit. Thanks for another great review Whitefang!

Wow, what a great little impulse set! I relly dig the face as well as a chance to get some cool accessories like a broom, bin (no lid....sigh) and a mushroom top (Hat). We need Endor rebels and Scout troopers BP's or a bunker set incl both (like 7666 Hoth base) and i wouldnt mind a phase 1 clones BP, though im really looking forward to the Toys R Us vote set and the huge vote set from earlier on

Mate, it doesn't say you cant revisit old topics in the member guidelines, the mods keep them open so people can still check out the old MOCs and add to the discussion. Thats why Whitefang has the description Dead Thread reviver under his sig fig. Oh and i agree that grey looks cooler, but when you are selling lego, TLG must feel that the blue will stand out better, or Lucas signs off on them being blue ( but what do i know?) All i know is that Yoda made a cool Tie Interceptor Moc back in 05 Peace!

Its true, Lego doesn't replace the love of a fine woman / or man for that matter, but geeezz its a great hobby! SW sales on! im off to check out the goodies! EDIT I managed to score the 7048 Troll Warship from Big Whoop for $68, good times! but the two Big W's didnt even get in Tower Raid 7037 Oh well im sure i will see it everywhere in a few months, and besides, ive got to save $445 for DS

Thanks for the Pics from Brickworld Hinckley! As a new member of EB its nice to put a face to some of the senior members (makes me feel even more at home here!) I have also checked out some of the other pics from your full coverage on Brickzone, and even read some Whacker and Walrus comics too. I will have to see if Australia has any cool conventions now( i had heard there was something in Melbourne every year (10 hour drive though)
