  1. Beautiful! I really like how you detailed the exterior and gave it some character yet it's not too complex.
  2. Trucks like a Dodge Ram or Chevy 2500HD lol Loving the town! Have you seen my dresser street yet? lol
  3. Thanks a lot guys! Again, this is really to experiment because I plan to make a large town layout when I'm older so this is for fun lol, but I plan on picking up some decal paper to make some logos in Photoshop soon :)
  4. Yup! I finally got pics of my WIP town on my dresser. It's no modular, as I'm using normal road plates and it's not super detailed like you see most other models. I'm mainly doing this for experience and to see what I can do with some inspiration from others. The image is a link to my Flickr set of the town. The red and white snack shack is going to be called the "Boondocks Snack Port" The black and grey building is a shipping store, much like a UPS store. I'm going to call it BPS and it's motto will be "What can black do for you..." The white and red building is a 7/Eleven-esque place. Just a convenience store that is having a hold up, with 2 guys hiding behind a shelving unit and 1 guy calling the cops The final building is an auto shop. It's going to be called "Mike's Lauto Repair" with a fully functioning hoist and a car lift for decoration (I don't think it could hold a car lol) I tried to make the buildings as realistic as possible. With what I have. I don't have nearly as many parts as most of you guys so it's obviously going to be off in some areas and what not, but as always, C&C please Also, I'll be making a separate thread within the next few days of my heavy duty 4 axle tractor and 4 axle trailer. It's strictly for oversized loads, which you will see soon
  5. That would be amazing to use for a Saving Private Ryan lego film even if it isn't the exact area... still, amazing!
  6. Love the additions! I'm going to make a small modular town on my dresser and the style of buildings you have is perfect for the size of my town. Mind if I use some of your designs as ideas? I'd make the decals myself in Photoshop lol
  7. Same here on the 360! Best Battlefield game so far haha, thank you!
  8. Thank you! I know its not perect to scale and doesnt capture the shape of a LMP exactly... But to know I got the general shape down is nice, thanks!
  9. Nice job! And I believe you put the walls too close, because back when Lego made the Shell station sets, the car was was usable there. I think it was 8 or 10 studs wide and had a rubber band attached to the tops of the washer arms to give them some resistance.
  10. Thank you! I added some clear bricks to the Blackhawk one so it looks like it is taking off now while the Bad Company team are running into battle. It looks amazing on my dresser!
  11. Goodness your stuff is absolutely amazing! This gives me some ideas so a mini modular town I can make on my dresser!
  12. Updated with new Flickr set. I fixed some elements of the car so it looks much less boxy and more like an actual LMP now. The spoiler really defines the look unlike the last car.
  13. Absolutely loved it! Not happy about how our series went against LA... but hey at least we lost to the Champs. lol And Apollo. I'm pretty comfortable actually. My idea was something along these lines No roof obviously, but I'd show off at least the lower bowl of whatever arena I chose (including the box suites), the ice surface as close to scale as I could get, and some of the concourse and outside. I want to make it so you can tell what arena it is, recognize some key details, but still enjoy the action taking place without a disrupted view. This is probably a better built representation of what I'd want. Funny thing is... if I was to do such a massive project, the amount of minifigures in those 2 pics combines wouldn't be enough to fill 3 to 4 sections of Jobing.com Arena... haha And if I'm able to move in with my dad or grandma (my step bro is a huge Lego nut and has tons or Lego models on display) I would be able to get help too so I'd at least have 4 hands at work and a good sized area to do it.
  14. Thank you :) hopefully the new pics help showcase the team as well
  15. Thank you! You will for sure! I'll for sure be having some Fallout ones :)
  16. Yeah... again it's hard for me because my parents bought Mega Blocks when I was younger along with Legos... but I plan on weeding them out in the future and replacing them with Legos. But thanks guys!
  17. Shell/Octan LeMans Prototype C&C Appreciated :)
  18. Thank you! I took action photos and made a Flickr, hopefully everything is in order for it to be indexed :)
  19. Here's my other model I've had built for some time now... made this a little while after my redesigned Blackhawk a year ago. Comes apart easy to reveal engine and driver's seat! I know... some Mega Blocks... sorry :( but my parents bought those sometimes so they are mixed in lol
  20. UH-60 Blackhawk and Bad Company MOC I've had this model for over a year now, as I totally revamped it from the original I did years ago. I went color coded, scaled down, and extra detail. It looked alright, but it wasn't until recently that I got back into Lego after checking out some Fallout Lego's (which I'll be making dioramas of) and decided to retweek my helicopter a little. I've always been fascinated by these birds because my dad was a crew chief on them in Panama and Desert Storm/Shield. So he has a few Blackhawk models around his house. Well, this is my version. The doors actually do slide, and I made it so they stay in place. Opening and closing gun doors where you see the miniguns mounted, as well as the external fuel pods. The main rotor I re-did to make it look somewhat drooping which is what they usually do when the helicopter is sitting on the tarmac. And for anyone who plays video games, I thought it would be fitting to include the characters from arguably the best Battlefield game created. Bad Company 2. The 4 main characters and the weird hippie pilot seen throughout the campaign :) (standing in front of the previous version. I made them before I re-did the helicopter.) I hope you all enjoy this MOC. Here is an action shot of the team linked to my Flickr set with the photos :) C&C is very much appreciated :)
  21. That's all I needed prateek... man was I understating the thing. It would be sweet though for sure! But I'll stick to the smaller scale one then... And the purpose was to really gather info and talk about it and share ideas really. Not only did I need some input, but if other members had any ideas like this then the pics that prateek provided clearly show the scale that I would be encountering. Unless I somehow got a job at Legoland California and made a lego scaled HP Pavilion... even though I saw a topic about scaling I just wanted some input really. I apologize.
  22. My dad works on these for a living. Falcon 900's are beautiful planes! Wouldn't be surprised if the Falcon 900 was for high execs, while the Piper was for the owners or even higher execs.
  23. Ok... maybe not THAT large... When I was younger, I made multiple hockey arenas out of Legos and had little games going on. I don't have many minifigs or a boatload of bricks for that matter so they only took up 2 large base plates at the most. I'm a Phoenix Coyotes fan... and as a Lego builder a dream of mine someday is to build a hockey arena. Doesn't have to be Jobing.com Arena (home of the Coyotes) but I want to build an arena that has a playoff hockey game going on. So imagine this But out of Legos :) Why the playoffs? Well... because that's when the teams have their white outs, red outs, etc... and with the towels waving (I would use bananas painted white lol) it's an atmosphere not many sports get to experience. Has anyone ever done such an undertaking? I know it wouldn't be for a longgg time yet, but if I'm able to do one of the MTS Center, Jobing.com Arena, Joe Louis Arena, or say Consol Energy Center, are there any references really? Or would I be a first per say... lol Just want to know thoughts too about it if you guys would like to share! And maybe I'd have to do college... 19,000 lego minifigs would get expensive to say the least... so more like 5,000 then lol
  24. Beautiful! That would be great for a Call of Duty scene too the say it's set up.
  25. Hey everyone My name is Jake. Been around forums for years, mainly game communities. I've had LEGO's ever since I can remember (unfortunately I also have a lot of Mega-Blocks mixed in... but we all can't be perfect I guess...) I'm 17, employed (seasonal) and love to golf and played hockey for a long time. Huge hockey nut also... also live in Michigan, near Grand Rapids. Anyway, since I'm on forums a lot I thought I'd find a LEGO one to see if I can get feedback on some of my stuff. Here's 2 pictures of what I will be making topics for later. UH-60 Blackhawk with external fuel pods, side miniguns, and working doors (my dad was in Panama and Desert Storm/Desert Shield as a Spec Ops Blackhawk crew chief, so I made this for him in a sense,) and the characters from the video game series Battlefield Bad Company (and the weird pilot from Bad Company 2) This is a light armored battle tank that I made just for the fun of it a while back. It's modular, as in it's very simple to take apart to see inside (same with the Blackhawk actually)and has a soomewhat detailed drivers cab and engine compartment. Looking forward to seeing what is on the site for inspiration! I will be making small dioramas based on the video game series Fallout, which I have parts coming in for throughout the week!
