  1. I was just going to edit in the extra accessories when I do my final touches on the more advanced CADs. Though, I hadn't considered editing the data by hand. If I just edit the placement data, will the new placement make LDD vomit when I try to load it back up, or am I stuck with using the CAD programs once I fine tune that data?
  2. Not sure if it's a bug, or just a feature of newer minifigures... I noticed today when I was creating some custom minifigs in LDD, that the "neck" on the standard minifig torsos in LDD (LDD part# 76382) are shorter than the neck on the standard torso (brick #973) This has the unfortunate side effect of not allowing more than 1 shoulder/back accessory at a time. The best example I can think of is the 'Pirate' theme Imperial Soldier, they wear epaulettes (brick# 2526) AND a backpack (brick# 2524) around the neck. LDD does not allow this. Is there a way to redesign the included standard LDD torsos, or add new LDD torsos with the old neck model, and allow multiple neck/back accessories?
  3. Trust me, sir... I had links originally, but since I have not reached the "minimum posts" threshold, I still am not allowed to post any replies that contain link, or even 'full addresses'... I was able to water down the link enough via shortened peeron addys, but the software wouldn't allow me to keep the bricklink addys for some reason... so I'm stuck with my plaintext posts until I reach that threshold... oh the joys of being a new poster... :-\ There is one magnet holder in LDD, but like I said in my original post, it only used mostly in specific train models. As for the makeshift baseplate, I am thankfully aware of it, and have used it for 3 builds so far - but as the title of the thread says, it is still a piece that is on my personal 'most wanted' list. I would also be happy if they added a way (or a separate program) for us to add/import bricks into LDD ourselves - that way they don't have to worry about which piece to add and not add and could focus on the program itself instead of the minutiae of individual missing pieces/bricks Of all the Builder/CAD programs, LDD is by far the quickest, easiest and most streamlined UI to work with - there are tradeoffs, of course; lack of fine-tuned positioning outside the 1x1 grid, limited exterior brick prints and logos. I find myself doing 90%-99% of my preliminary building in LDD then exporting to whichever CAD that best suits my needs to put any final touches on models I'm working on. I just ran across another combo tonight of pieces I'd like to see in the future... 4071 - 6x7 Doorframe 4611 - its acompanying 6x7 Door/Gate Looking over a lot of these posts, I pretty much agree on most of the posts that pertain to pieces missing from sets released in the 1980's, 1990's and early 2000's
  4. Its funny, that the magnets themselves are in the LDD, but none of the 'holders' are in except for the one used by the train sets. peeron.com/inv/parts/73092 - existing Magnet But neither peeron.com/inv/parts/2607 - grip/caddy nor peeron.com/inv/parts/2609 - Plate w/grip I realize that it only leaves out a fair number of the late 80's and early 90's. I'd still like them in anyways even if it's just the pieces themselves - I don't care if the magnetic/physics part of it works or not. And while we're on Space models missing pieces, I'd run into a few snags with several space models due to a lack of peeron.com/inv/parts/4873 also several hinge type pieces, like 3149, 3324 and the 3315/3597 pairing. BASEPLATES I'm still suprised that the 2552 baseplate has not already been included - I'm not even worried about the custom textures, just the base piece of digital plastic would be fine by me. TL;DR * 73092 * 2607 * 2609 * 4873 * 3149 * 3324 * 3315/3597 * 2552
