  1. Thanks for the great review. And thanks to supersirlink for posting the old set. I had no idea there was another release. This new set is definitely better than the previous release though I have to say I love the Red Baron. Unfortunately I have a limited budget and I am saving it for the Lord of the Rings Helm's Deep set. Terrific review nonetheless.
  2. Here's a picture of me at the Build Your Own Minifig display: This store is at the Galleria Mall in Birmingham, Alabama. Even though I live in Northwest Florida, this is the closest Lego store. I went mainly to get pick-a-brick elements. Just like the minifig parts, we're pretty much at the mercy of whatever pieces Lego has available in the pick-a-brick section. Here's a picture of one of my minifig builds and a container of pick-a-bricks: I really can't complain, I enjoyed the visit to the Lego shop.
  3. This is a great contest but I think it's geared towards children and personally I don't think we adults should enter. BUT... we could make an unofficial side contest here on Eurobricks and upload our versions for all to see.
  4. Truly, truly an awesome set. Looks like Vader's gotten "fall down drunk" with Aurra Sing.
  5. Here is my entry to the Astromech Contest. Another angle...
  6. is creating a Heroica RPG character.

  7. My Lego SW collection is probably about $400 US dollars. Now my entire Star Wars collection (books, comics, action figures, vehicles, posters, etc)... I can't even imagine. I have the original twelve action figures - out of package unfortunately.
  8. I found Grievous' fighter on clearance at Walmart for $20 several weeks ago. Probably my best clearance find so far.
  9. That was a great review, sorry you don't really care for the set. I, personally, was looking forward to this set. The Kotor timeline is my favorite of the EU. On a non-related topic, I was very disappointed when the new game was released as an MMO. I don't care for MMO type games: just an endless grind. I've heard TOR is different but I really just don't want to spend the money just to try it.
  10. I agree with Lego's Golden Age beginning in 1978 with the inclusion of the minifig. I received my first very own Lego set in 1978 for my twelfth birthday (up to that time I used my older brother's set), the Coast Guard set. But I disagree with the end time. I go with 1991. Because 1991 was about when sets began emphasizing themes more so than the bricks themselves. I think a second golden age began in 1999 with the introduction of Licensed themes (Star Wars).
  11. Well, here's my custom lady minifig, but I am unable to access my profile page to "friendsify" my avatar at this time. Molly Rocket: EDIT: I think I got it.
  12. I thoroughly loved this set. I enjoyed putting it together and I believe the green dude is relatively rare.
