I tried my hand at a different frame this time: my own! Heres the Flickr Gallery for you. Enjoy! -l2k-

I was referring to the Black Wolf. I don't really think that the EF joints are all that great. Try to make a bipedal mech without a Fig in it.

I'm hoping to get a Franspace subtheme, *yoda* ! -l2k-

Here is a friendly tip: Don't revive month old topics -l2k-

Also, if you were at Brickfest, you will happen to know that the ambassadors had a hand in designing the sets themselves. -l2k-

Personally, I don't like it. I usually don't put figs in closed cockpit mechs that are of that size, unless it uses a technique that dosnt make it boxy. Figs should come second to technique in mechs, but thats my opinion.

Can anyone tell me why Takeshi only use Supernova once?)
Chuck replied to jeffrey's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
The Supernova is solar powered, is it not your geekiness. -
I forgot what it is called, but there is a toy store near the Virgin Atlantic store. I forgot where exactly, but if you cant find it, ask the disney store where you can buy Lego, because its near there. It will be in the First arrondissement. hope that helps. -l2k-

I personally don't care how well the ILC is built, it looks like a good white parts pack X-D

Well, you have to understand that pirate isn't really a major theme during brickfest, and isn't generally looked upon much by the whole lego community in general. I am not trying to insult any of you, I am just stating this.

Is there any news or hints as whether there will be batman sets in '07?

Boxy, pic too big, no streamlined color scheme. Meh.

Nope. You are completely off. Steampunk is set in an alternate Victorian Era, which is in the past. Also, there is already a Space-western theme called Tech-west. to be hoenst, i don't understand any of what you guys are talking about here *wacko* :'-( - what is called steam punk ??? it can be european ??? (i know what steampunk is, but in your wording i can figure out what you are meaning, in relation to this thread) - what is this Tech-West... surly its not an official LEGO theme, maybe a movie, a cartoon ??? - BrickMiner Steampunk is a general term used largely in the Space communities for how things would have been say, 200+ years ago if they had used their level of technology to create things such as planes (nothing stopping them), floating islands (unrealistic), mecha (impossible), etc. It's catagorized by a large use of wood and propellers. It can be European, American, anything! Tech-West, I think Lego2000 meant to say, is a genre of Space/Westers, created by fans, similar to Steampunk in that regard. It's not based off of anything other than a handful of sci-fi films and the minds of fans. 1. Steampunk takes place in the VICTORIAN Era, which was before the dawn of the 20th century, which is about 130+ years ago. 2. Steampunk was not created by the Lego fan community. 3. steampunk is categorized by Ornithopters, balloons, ect. which all have to be steam powered, meaning steampunk creations must show some sort of steam source. 4. Floating ROCKS are not created, but were already there.

Indeed, this bodes well for the story becoming darker. Spooky spooky, serious fun. I'm not entirely familiar with the orb it's in. Are those halves that lock together, or are they the regular old bubble canopies just placed nearby each other? If that's what it is, I sincerely doubt they stay together that nicely, likely having an open crack on the top. Still, awesome. The new half bubbles have click hinges.

It seems like all your other sites but with a different title. You can't make a forum for a theme thats not out, or which barely anyone besides our forum and a few others know about. I predict that this forum will only last a few weeks or a month or two before being forgotton like the other 10 you've made. -l2k-

<insert some nice sounding but irrelevant spaceship neme here>
Chuck replied to oo7's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Why do you think all space craft need thruster style engines? Chemical rockets that we use today would be useless for everyday space use, power to weight ratio is not good and they are not that controllable. Ion engines would be better, but are not really designed for zipping around with regardless of what mr Lucas would have us belive. In fact Hyperdrives, magneto-gravimetric drives and temporal displacement drives may not even be visible as they could be deep within the craft itself. The craft would then only need small manouvering thrusters for fine control. OK, big engines look cool, so maybe we shouldn't just scrap them, but they are not the only means of propulsion Jof (Rethinking lego space drive principles.) All I meant was maybe replace the two 1x1 trans light blue peices that serve as engines with something else. -

I think that the botom is a too dull and the engines are too small and dull. Besides that its fine. -
