  1. Oh God, don't remind me. *facepalms*
  2. Well, because the initial sticker sheet I got seemed to be peeling right off the backing while inside the box, I just went through the customer service option at S@H online and specified a replacement. Ultimately they usually don't charge you if it's a result of their error, however if you wanted a replacement because you lost the sticker sheet, then TLG would contact you with a price quote for it. It kinda depends on the situation. In my case, no I didn't have to pay. (And thanks for the info, Locutis. )
  3. Thanks Aanchir, you actually crossed my mind as I was typing the post - I've always respected your knowledge of the LEGO Ninja. It's a bit odd that I've never watched Ninjago, but I've got a couple places bookmarked online now so I can sit down and see what I've been missing. My only "real" experience with LEGO animation so far has been Clutch Powers, which I loved, so I'm thinking this show should be pretty enjoyable. Do we know when the 2013 Ninjago line will hit the shelves? I'm assuming the first of the year with most of the other sets we know about? In any event, it will be interesting to see how this all plays out, and if we can even determine any influence of one on the other. LEGO just has so many sets it releases anymore. It's crazy! (And my wallet kind of hates me. Why can't I be one of those LEGO fanatics that only has the "one line" they collect? These "one-and-done" themes might be the end of me. Stupid Monster Fighters with it's awesomely awesome minifigures...lol.
  4. Do any of you MOCers have problems with your LEGO scratching when sorting it out to store? What kinds of storage can be used to minimize this problem? I'm using a combination of bead organizers and Ziplock bags right now, and the bead organizers actually seem like they're worse from my experience so far. The small sections can be hard to get my fingers into, so I end up dragging LEGO up and out the sides to get it out. The Ziplock bags are much easier to maneuver within, though they're a pain to try and store. Anyone else have any thoughts on this, or ideas for better storage?
  5. Ah, okay. Well, I think it's certainly working then! (Thanks for the response.)
  6. I'm not sure where else to post this, but is there a way to put all the topics pertaining to Superhero Month in a sub-folder within the Licensed Forum? I ask only because I noticed during Ninja month that the related topics completely took over the Action Forums, making it a bit more difficult to navigate through. Perhaps a way to keep it from becoming overbearing? Just a thought.
  7. Seeing as how we're all just waiting for the climactic release, I thought I'd write a bit on a topic that came up today. So I was reading through the Technodrome message boards (TMNT Fansite), and somebody posted that their younger brother and his friends essentially 'looked down' upon the Nickelodeon Ninja Turtle show because they thought it was a rip-off of Ninjago. Oh wow. Don't get me started. Now firstly, I guess I didn't realize how popular Ninjago really is, and secondly it hit home for me that there's truly an entire generation (Maybe 2) for whom the Ninja Turtles are completely new. They have absolutely no idea that this is the 3rd television iteration. It's kinda weird. And I guess that makes me old, lol. Where am I going with all this? Well, here: How will the 2013 Ninjago line affect the sales of the TMNT line? I'd love for the Nick line to do well enough for a second and heck, third wave, but just how is it going to compete with an established brand like Ninjago? Are kids going to drop Ninjago for the 'new cool thing on the block', or are they going to stick with what they know and like, leaving the turtles in the proverbial dust?
  8. I'm not sure this is the right forum, but that is Hilarious. With a 'capital H'. Awesome.
  9. Awesome. Thanks for putting it all into some kind of timeline for us. I'm so excited for these figures, it's a bit hilarious.
  10. Your welcome.
  11. Um, no. Perhaps you need to read the posts above yours a little more carefully? And Lynx, I surf the web with Firefox, which has a free add-on called "DownloadHelper" It allows me to pull video and other media off the web - in that case of YouTube videos, I can either grab them as FLV files or my preferred format, MP4.
  12. Okay, that Halloween one is absolutely hysterical. *Saves to hard drive* Thanks for posting!
  13. Was there ever an official "Clutch Powers" Minifigure made, to anyone's knowledge? I just recently saw the film (which I loved) and gotten the urge to find or re-create the characters. Perhaps the film didn't take off like LEGO hoped it would? I would have expected more merchandise to show up in my search, but alas... Any ideas? Am I missing some secret cache of Clutch Powers merchandise only released to fans?
  14. I'm glad I'm not the only one excited about this, then. Locutis, what brand of sticker paper do you use? I always wonder how long LEGO stickers will last for, but I'm never sure that commercial sticker paper from an office supply store would be any better. UPDATE: I was just looking at the stock pictures of the set (used for promotional purposes and such), and the stickers in the picture are the colored version, not the glow-in-the-dark ones! I feel silly for not ever realizing that before. I do have to say that when I contacted customer service I commented that maybe the stickers were peeling up because of the thicker glow-in-the-dark-ink. Perhaps, as NickAB mentioned, they assumed I wanted an alternate to the GITD that was phosphorescent-free. (Wow, typing GITD is much easier than glow-in-the-dark, lol. ) And (I hope this is totally legit), but if anyone wants the full-size 300dpi tiff scan of the colored version, I'd be happy to e-mail it to you. Just please send me a PM through the website instead of filling up the message thread. (Though that would make me look wildly popular... )
  15. Here is a side-by-side scan. The Traditional glow-in-the-dark stickers are on the left, and the alternate colored version is on the right. Not a huge difference, but I certainly like the alternate version quite a bit better. I mean who plays with their LEGO in the dark anyways? (Well, except maybe some of LEGO's target market, lol.)
  16. That Tatsu is awesome. And on a slightly related, but different note, I have to say that I love your MOTU customs.
  17. You may have a point in relation to the IDW Comics, though from the direction the creators of the show are headed in, it seems unlikely that either will make an appearance. There's been 'rumors' of a possible cameo in season 2, but things can change so fast in television, who knows? Regardless, I'm not getting the feeling we'll be seeing either of these characters done in LEGO, period. (Hopefully, I'll eat these words, but for now I'm willing to bet on it.)
  18. It began on a dark and stormy night... Well. Not quite. Back when I initially bought the MF Vampyre Castle, I found that the glow-in-the-dark stickers included seemed to be peeling off slightly from the waxy paper backing they're attached too. I wasn't too thrilled about this because I figured if they peel off of the backing that easily, how long will they last on my castle? So I put the stickers aside and planned to request a replacement sheet from LEGO Shop at Home. 2 months later I finally got around to sending in my request and when I received the replacement sheet - I got 2! One was the familiar glow-in-the-dark version, and the other was a color version with brown leaves and red glowing eyes. Awesome! I'm not too much of a fan of the whole glow-in-the-dark gimmick, so this new colored sticker sheet is a very exciting find for me. Has anyone else seen this, or received it in their set? (I feel like a bouncy 8 year-old. I guess it's the little things, right?)
  19. Interest has little to do with it. LEGO has the license rights to the Nickelodeon show only. Other characters & vehicles(Bebop, Rocksteady, The Technodrome) are off limits, as I understand it. Unless Nick renegotiates their contract with the copyright holders, these characters, ect. will not be used in the current show, and by extension will not appear in any licensed merchandise. (Read: LEGO sets) Given the target market, it wouldn't make any sense for LEGO to make minifigs of Bebop and Rocksteady for mass production anyways. They won't be in the new Nick show, and though those of us that grew up on that cartoon would love them, AFOLs are just not where the money's at.
  20. I'm suspecting an over abundance of Johnny Depp... (I have to say that I feel he's being over-used in all these Disney Films. I only hope it doesn't come back to bit him in the a**). I think there is such a thing as too much exposure.
  21. I've actually gotten in the habit of saving as much information from LEGO websites as I can (when I find a theme that I like). I use Downloadhelper through Firefox, and I can save animations, sounds and quite a bit of other stuff. No games, though. ) I've just recently come out of my dark ages, so sadly I never got to see the Atlantis site. I bet it was awesome, though. Another thought might be the Internet Wayback Machine? I couldn't for the life of me tell you how to navigate that, but maybe you could at least pull any written information from the site. (If it can be accessed.)
  22. So who's gonna be the first to customize the Star Wars Gamorrean Guard into Bebop? Ha ha, I'm getting even more excited about this line. Thanks for the link to the Brickshow review of the Michaelangelo figure as well - it was great to see it close up. (Though, incidentally the only way I can watch the Brickshow's Youtube channel is by having my speakers turned off, lol. That guy...kinda bugs me. )
  23. I could be biased because I happen to love the Nick show, but I think these are pretty good. I can see how the LEGO designers would've been challenged to create something to match the show and keep it within a certain piece count/price point. I wasn't a fan of the Dougpound figure, but this Fishface minifig rocks!
  24. I use Firefox as my primary browser, and they have a plugin available called "DownloadHelper." I use this program to extract files from websites... Or actually, if you just PM me with your e-mail address, I'll just mail them all to you, lol.
  25. Transformers? What? I'm sorry, it's Masters of the Universe all the way! And back on topic, if we got Dogpound, can Fishface be far behind? (I'd love Leatherhead to the point of selling and organ [Kidding...mostly], but I can't really see that happening.) It's almost safe to assume we'll get April, right? It'll be fun to see how some of these other sets shape up!
