  1. That's awesome, I really like how simple yet completely effective it is. Well done
  2. V-LC-11E You may remember my UK road gritter/snow plough that I designed on LDD from the link below LDD Snow plough/gritter Well I ordered all the parts from BrickLink and built it in the flesh. Here it is Then an action shot. The 7630 front end loader comes in to load up the open hopper with some salt ready for spreading. The truck could do with some stickers on it to make it more like an official set but i'm really with happy how it's come out. What do you all think?
  3. Thanks for the comments, i'm currently making a list of parts on BrickLink so hopefully it will become a built design. Bramn - You've just confirmed what I was thinking, it could do with a bit more colour on the cab area to break it up, i'll have a play.
  4. V-LC-11D Ok guys, Had another play with LDD and this time making a UK road gritting/salt spreading truck. Hopefully I can try and get this one BRICK BUILT as well. Hope you all like it. Ready for action on a cold winter evening/morning. It's quite a large truck with double rear axle to take all that weight. From behind you can see the ladder to climb up to check the load and also the air filter and exhaust assemblies. Finally, here is a shot of how the truck is loaded with salt. I might try and get a loader into the design as well. Hope you all like, thanks for looking and as usual look forward to receiving feedback
  5. Ok, so here is my second attempt at designing a CITY vehicle. It's used for transporting two CITY cars around either for repair or delivery, it can really only take 4 wide vehicles so smaller cars. You would load the top deck with a car first from the hydraulic control panel on the left hand side of the truck body. Then once secured you raise the upper deck and lock it into place using the securing legs. Then you load the bottom deck and secure the car. If the cars are broken down there is a winch located at the back of the cab. The ramps are stored under the bottom deck which can be raised up into the 90 degree position. There are a couple of useful tools located behind the cab also. Big thanks to Vean for introducing me to LDD, it's much easier to use and well set up. As usual all comments and feedback welcome
  6. Cheers for the feedback guys, I'm using Ldraw to design the sets but I can't seem to figure out how to change the angle of the grating? Does anyone use this system and know? Vean. I really like what you've done with your design, what platform did you use to come up with it? What's the best way to go about brick building one? Order all the pieces from Lego? What do people do? Regards
  7. Hey guys, My first attempt at using Lego Draw. I have seen many kits but not ever seen a Public Order van, perhaps someone knows if there is a similar kit that i've overlooked as i've missed a few years. This is built around the basic Ambulance 4431 but i've modified it a bit. This is a van similar to the one I got my inspiration from Here it is, my example almost complete. (I haven't figured out how to angle the windscreen guard using draw Here it is from above with, extractor fan and air vent for both prisoner cell and officer compartment. It also has call sign number 7 so air support can identify from helicopter. Here you can see there is a space for the driver in the front and a small bulkhead, the bulkhead has a megaphone and a 2 way radio. There are 2 seats in the back so the van compromises 3 officers in total. Here is the back door to the cell that is completely seperate apart from an observation window. On each side there are spotlights for looking down alleyways for any trouble. Let me know what you all think, comments welcome.
  8. Hi all, Been into Lego for years, since I could talk. Only ever been into Lego City, I felt it lost it's way in 1998 but i'm glad to see at some point it found the right track again. Anyway, been sorting through a massive box I found in my loft mostly of 90s Lego, got about 75 sets completed from the instructions and got probably about 25 more to sort out. Anyway, been trawling through Ebay and buying some back catalogue sets. Just bought 7638 and awaiting delivery of it. Looking forward to getting some more. I downloaded LegoDraw today and started designing new vehicles. I'll post pics up and you can see what you think. Thanks
