I have one question concerning PF Lights. I just bougt it but when I conncet the wire of PF ligts to the RC reciever it doesn't work. It works only when I conncet the PF Lights directly to the battery box. Is it normal ? Has soomeone had the same problem ? I have 2 PF lights and 2 RC recievers and it doesn't work in any case

BTW, alex54, where did you find the 7641 for 40 € ? Thanks,

Ok, you have a point ! ;) So I will waint until May or June !

It seems to me that all 2009 City sets have been shown by Lego at the last US Toy Fair. Since there were not this famous 7747 I dont think that Lego will relase this set this year.
-
City Corner has about 500 pieces so 50 € for this set isn't so unrealistic. So I think that these prices are right.

I think that the new trains will be 6 studs wide since it seems that they are goining to use the same tracks as the RC trains and that they have to be compatible with 9V and 12V trains. Also, it will be not the first time that TLC make new molds for a new and unique set but it's possible that they are going to relase others sets with 4 stuck wide trucks.
-
Lego train tracks have always been 6 sticks wide and, as far as I know, it will still be 6 stucks. The monrail was 4 stucks wide and it seems to me that The Temple of Doom is also 4 !

I had this set too and it was one of first set I can remember I remember also this set as one of my first lego : http://guide.lugnet.com/set/30_1

So that's why they are not confidential since TLC has no power on its dealers. Does TLC asked EB to remove these photos ?
-
I didn't saw "confidential" on these photos. There came from a dealer catalog that means that they are not confidential since the dealers have the catalog. Il they were confidential, TLC will not give them to dealers.

I think that the City Corner si a regular set, not a S@H exclusive. The list oh 2009 S@H excluives has not been annouced yet (except the Medieval Market)
-
No, it seems to be a diffrent set, much bigger (more than 480 pcs)
-
Looks again as a set taken from the TLC factory...

The 7745 was realsed in 1985 ;) Lego had 2 12V passengers trains between 1981 and 1984 (the 7740 & 7725) During the 80s the avergae life of a train was about 5 years.

why are the 2009 sets preview deleted ?
giorgio replied to shimon's topic in General LEGO Discussion
The people copying Lego products are not stupid. Il the images of the new products have leaked to Internet they have seen them and copy them as a lot of us did. Also, as professionnals they can have access to the Lego trade catalog without much difficultiesvia their contcats among trade and retailers. So I don't belive at alle that TLC asked to remove the preview because of competitors but much more, as it was said before, for marketing reasons. -
I think that the 8401 is named "Mini fig collection" and that a set named "City Life" is still to come. Or maybe I'm wrong ?
-
It's gonna be hard for Lego to do better !!! But I'm sure thet they are going to give us some new nice modular houses next year !

Interesting tidbit from TLC's annual report

I'm pretty sure that lego pay huge licence fee tu Lucasffilm (this is the firm which produced SW) ! Lego must have paid a gloabl amount for the SW licence and they must also pay a % on each set sold ! -

Sure, it's a very good news. Lege has learn from its previous mistakes and now it's working ! But I'm not sure that the CC and modular houses are parts of the City Line in the Lego results ! For me the 17% are juste the regular City line -
Very Nice city indeed. Unfortunetly the appartements are pretty small so I don't have a lot of space to store my Legos *wacko*
