Another update: 4.3 parts?!
kangmingjie replied to JopieK's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Finally got the update to install. All I had to do was uninstall LDD and remove the LDD folder from my .roaming file. Then I re-downloaded it from the official site and installed it again. None of my builds were deleted, so everything's good. Great update by the way. -

That would be quite lovely. -
LDD 5, what features do YOU want?
kangmingjie replied to BasOne's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
It would be nice if a game engine could be added. Then users can create their own worlds and walk around as a minifig. That's a tad on the unrealistic side though, so I'm going to stop there. -
New LDD Update! 3/26/13
kangmingjie replied to CM4Sci's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Darking, are you using Windows our a Mac? If Windows, delete the LDD folder in your .roaming file, then reinstall LDD. You can access the .roaming by going to run, type %appdata%, double click .roaming, then you should see a folder titled LEGO Company. Delete the whole folder, then reinstall. -
New LDD Update! 3/26/13
kangmingjie replied to CM4Sci's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
It installed correctly for me, but I don't see anything new. I'll keep looking. -
Up north, though down south has some breath taking landscape. Good to see another Utahn on here. Pirates, Castle, Hobbit, LOTR, and Aquazone are some of my favorites, but I just mix everything together now when my wife and I play Brikwars. This forum is a friendly place.

Hi everyone! It's great to see such a large community for a great product such as LEGO. Can't wait to see everyone's MOC's. I'm not much of a builder myself, but it looks like there is plenty of material here to help get me started. I speak English and Chinese (Mandarin) and enough German to get myself into trouble. Ming Jie P.S. I've been looking for a way to send private messages to other members, but the site says I'm not allowed to use that function yet. I haven't seen anything that explains this. Is it because I am so new? Thanks.

LDD 4.3.6 is out
kangmingjie replied to Tontus's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I've had a similar issue. I suppose changing the resolution on my monitor would help, but I don't want to do that every time I open the program. -

I see. Well, his hard work is most certainly appreciated. LDD is such a great program. -

I've noticed that 600 or so decorations have been added, but I can't seem to find them. Great update by the way. -
LDD 4.3.5 Custom Decorations
kangmingjie replied to kangmingjie's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
No worries. I thought I'd at least try. Thanks for the help everyone. TLG should at least add more medieval and pirate themed torsos and heads for LDD. Again, thanks for the help everyone! -
LDD 4.3.5 Custom Decorations
kangmingjie replied to kangmingjie's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Congrats on getting to the thesis. I'm not quite there yet as I'm still an undergrad. At least my generals are out of the way. Thanks for the help. Pretty close to what I was thinking. I want to start with the .dat file and put it into LDraw so it becomes a .ldr. From there, I was thinking that I could somehow convert it to a .lxf and use it in LDD as I wanted. It would be so much easier if TLG allowed user made .png's to be placed on the minifig head and torso pieces. I'm a cinematography/business major, so this delving into the world of computer programming is pretty new to me. Still, I appreciate the help and look forward to conquering this problem with everyone. -
I know I'm resurrecting a topic that has been beaten to death, but I have searched and searched for a way to create my own decorations for LDD 4.3.5 minifig torsos, heads, shields, flags, etc., but have not found anything useful. My question is: How can I take a .ldr file and convert it to a .lxf file? My plan is to create a new decoration in LEGO Sticker Generator, convert it to a .dat file for LDraw and the convert the .ldr file to a .lxf. I play a LDD RPG over on the Brikwars forums and wanted to make the game more interesting. Any help since LDD has changed quite a bit since last year? I'm thinking my best bet is to learn LDD Manager, but I don't have MS Access. Thanks in advance for the help or bad news.

LDD 4.3.5 bugs
kangmingjie replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
What I meant earlier by Sebulba not being fully paintable was part of the piece would remain the same color if I painted it. It works now. -

Minifig Wig No. 14 (Elf ears with hair) does not let you paint the ears a different color. Sebulba body piece can not be fully painted. Great update! Will there be any Lord of the Rings pieces added soon?
