  1. Not sure if this was already mentioned, but I'd love to see keyboard shortcuts added for switching modes. For example: CTRL+E for LDD Extended, CTRL+M for Mindstorms.
  2. I have a number of different torsos that I'd like saved as Photoshop PSD's. If anyone is interested, please PM me. I know it's a lot to ask, but I'm asking for 17 total. EDIT: Ignore my request please. I figured it out.
  3. I received the update without any crashes. There doesn't seem to be many new pieces, at least for the minifigs. I had to delete the LEGO Company folder in my .Roaming file and reinstall LDD to get the update.
  4. I stand corrected. I certainly hope we do get a version with the power features someday.
  5. Since LDD was really designed to be used by children, I don't see why any of your suggestions would be added. However, I would love if there was a separate AFOL version with the features you suggested. I'd pay for something like that.
  6. It seems to me the updates come in April and October. Can anyone confirm this?
  7. Not sure if this has been said already, but I'd like to see all colors currently available in the regular LDD mode to be made available in LDD Extended mode. Just checked LDD, it appears that many of the colors have been taken away. Does anyone know what happened?
  8. The lowest color row is completely behind the task bar. The one above it is covered half way by the bar. I find that unlocking the task bar and moving it to the right of the screen helps. Still, a scrolling feature for the colors like there is for the decorations would be nice to have.
  9. Is it possible to get the Orc faces, chests and legs from the Lord of the Rings sets in .PDF format? Has this already been done?
  10. Part 47544. Lando Calrissian's helmet on Jabba's Sail Barge This is a picture of the old one. The new one would be nice too.
  11. Understood. Thanks. After reading the pinned topics, I think it would be best to delete this thread.
  12. I'm familiar with the amount of work and creativity that would have to go into the process, but I'm wondering if anyone has successfully created and added their own custom pieces to LDD. Would it break the GLU (GNU?) to do so? Any response is appreciated, thanks.
  13. It would be nice if the Legacy colors in the Normal Mode could be used in Extended Mode as well. The color selector panel could really use a scroll bar like the decoration panels. Since 99% of my MOCs are minifigs, I have to say that this is a fantastic and very pleasing update.
  14. Could someone post a jpeg or two of the new parts. I'm in a hotel with a poor wifi connection and can't download the update.
  15. That's my fault for not creating a better title. Sorry.
  16. To be honest, I'm surprised that it gets updated at all. It's not really creating any revenue for TLG. Do the designers get paid to do the update or is it volunteered labor? If it's volunteered, then my appreciation for them just went through the roof.
  17. Just curious on how the updates work. I thought I had read somewhere that TLG releases a new update every fall and spring. Is there a way to find out when a new update will appear? I apologize if this has already been asked or belongs in a different thread or topic.
  18. I speak Mandarin Chinese and English, but sadly I don't have the business experience needed for the posting in Shanghai. All of my experience is in digital media and working on live broadcasts. If LEGO has plans to hire camera crews, then I'll definitely apply. If I knew how to draw, then that graphic artist position would be an easy grab. Oh well, I'll just keep plugging away with Photoshop and pretend I'm making a difference in the world. That makes me wonder, what programs does LEGO use for their graphic artistry?
  19. This feature is very useful, though I wish it had happened for the colors as well. Truth be told, I was also hoping to see more minifig pieces from the new Ninjago and Hobbit sets (ex: Thranduil's crown, Azog's head, etc.) and the Cave Troll from the mines of Moria. Other than that, this is a great update! Shameless Edit: After having a look at the decorations file, it seems to me that this update is not fully complete. Can't wait to see what else TLG releases.
  20. I'm active on the Brikwars forums as I'm an avid fan of the game. My wife and I play regularly and have a great time. So, when I saw there was a version of the game available for PC, I was pretty excited. The game is very limited with what you can do. The sound effects are okay, the graphics are not that great and game play is nothing to write home about. Sometimes, when I'm really bored, I open up a file in LDD and play my own version of Brikwars by rolling dice while I move the minifigs around the model in the file. The Brikwars computer game is the same thing, just with "line of sight" capability and an automatic dice roller. The game could certainly use some beefing up. I had no idea it could support LDraw models, so I'll have to try it with that and see if its any better. All in all, I'd give it a 2/10. That part about me playing Brikwars by myself on LDD make me sound very lonely.
  21. I'd like to, although we should respect the forum rules. Hopefully this gets approved.
  22. I think its a good idea. LDD has so much potential for role playing games.
  23. I'm a guy and that was my way of letting you know that I'll put the use the part ID's next time.
  24. I'm a bad poster. All my base are now belong to you.
