I myself don't mind this new set. Mostly because I don't have the Falcon, so no Leia, or Han and the only X-wing I have is the original (still my favourite one) So I think when this comes out in Canada I may pick it up on sale. As for the new Tie UCS. I work at my local lego store so I'll see if I can dig up a pic of it...no gaurentees though.
-
Well. I think the plane overall looks like a pile of crap. The nose and engines especially, I like the wings and the body of the plane a little bit. Maybe I'll pick this up, but I would probably rather use the money to buy parts on bricklink or other sets.

X-O I cannot beleive Zidane did that. Mein Gott, it was such a stupid thing, especially being his last game. The game was great though and there were some awesome plays. I really didn't care who won because I was wanting Germany to make it. Oh well. It was still a great World Cup to watch. Congrats Italy!
-
This really sucks. I was hoping that Germany would have made it all the way. Good luck to Italy though.

Piglet, the green tree branches in the netting are sapose to be camoflauge. So yes, you are right. Thank you very much eNIGMa

Looking for a program to make instructions.
chewie replied to chewie's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Alrighty, I like your thinking Jipay. Well, for anyone who is looking for an Ldraw based program for mac, I found, and now us a lot (its a really fun program). Its called Bricksmith. The program is very very easy to use, mostly utelizing the arrow keys for movment of the bricks, as well as some buttons to flip the bricks, and the mouse to move the "view" of the picture around. I would definately recommend this to anyone who is looking for an LDraw based program, but for mac. -
I'm looking for a program to make lego instructions, viewable in Adobe .pdf . I am running on a mac though, so perhaps my chances are very slim. If anyone could point me in the right direction for a program, please let me know. Thanks Chewie EDIT: ok, well, I happen to have MAC Brick Cad, which is good, its exactly like Ldraw, however, I can insert one piece, but when I instert a second piece, it gets inserted right onto the first piece. Can anyone explain to me how to actually move the piece? Thanks EDIT: I happen to find another program and I know how to use it. I no longer need any help. My questions got a little ahead of my thinking :-$ . SO may an admin please close and delete this as they see fit.

I'm not huge on soccer, however, my friend who plays for the Canadian Under 20s team and Provincials team and as well as trained with Everton in England is obviously huge into soccer, so I think im gonna watch the World Cup and see who wins. I'm kind of hoping its Germany, I'm half German and half Dutch, and I've always liked the Germans. So I definatly hope Germany wins. Chewie

City Crane and Bridge Transporter on S@H
chewie replied to UltraPrime's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I believe both the Crane and Bridge Truck are availible in Canada too, in stores. -
The arrow (cursor) keys rotate the pieces, and depending on how your camera is pointed, they will rotate in different ways. It's kinda tricky, you just have to try pressing different direction arrows till it flips in the way you want. This is one aspect of LDD I think they could have improved on.... it'd be nice, when I'm doing a SNOT model, for pieces to automatacally remember that the previous piece I added was rotated sideways, and have them rotate the next piece I grab the same way by default. Save a lot of annoying rotations.... Awesome, thanks a lot. I was also wondering, do you have probmlems with the tiles "attaching" to the 1x1 bricks with one stud on the side? or for that fact have trouble attaching tiles to any SNOT brick? Thanks again
-
I'm needing a bit of help with LDD, I am making a train car, with slat sides, by taking 1x1 bricks with one stud on the side and building them up, I now want to put 1x6 tiles onto the side of these bricks to make the slats, how can you flip the plate so they will stick to the 1x1 brick with stud on the side. Thanks for anyone who helps out. Perhaps an admin could sticky this and that way anyone with a question could post it in here and if some one knows the answer, they could help them out. It would save for a lot of topics created if some one needs help.

Lego2000, nice choice with the Powerbook :-) I too have a Powerbook G4. I was wondering where did you get the titanium skin? Thanks Chewie

:-D That was great, made me laugh. It makes me want to get some more pirate sets and make an animation. Anyone have any idea how he used the plastic wrap to make the waves? Jacob C. me and my friends use to make stop motion animation and it would take us about 100 pictures (with deleting the bad ones) to make a movie that was only a 10 or 20 seconds long, so it probably took this guy roughly 1000? not sure. But definately alot.

Hobbes, thanks so much for the pictures, I think I'm sold, I just need the fund and I'm gonna order the BNSF and atleast one TTX rail car. They look so awesome together X-O . Thanks again for the pics
-
Awesome, if you would post some pics that would be greatly appreciaited. Thanks Chewie
-
Well, as I was recently at a hobby/toy show with a bunch of other lego enthusiasts, one of the guys had the BNSF as well as TTX, I saw them a tiny bit. I was just wondering what you're guy's opinion is about these sets and if there worth the hefty price. Thanks in advanced. Chewie

Chewie, your pics do not do your model justice, could you please take some sharper and clearer pics please !! Tks so much in advance ;-) Fly On !! *yoda* Ah yes, I would love to get some more clearer pictures, however, my sisters digital camer has no setting for close up shots. I was just at a hobby show today with some other lego guys from the Toronto Lego Group and one of them took some pictures with his digital SLR, so when I get the pics from him, I can post them so that my pictures do give my model justice.

You can see it here

Not to be arrogant. I do however remember a Franchi SPAS 12 gauge shot gun being used in the first Matrix when Neo and Trinity are in the lobby of the office building. I do however agree with you. I never thought about the guns from the batman sets, but those would go perfect.
-
I would definately go with the Hordseman said, aswell, if your looking to make guns. Back in the day, I posted some pictorials for makign a shotgun as well as an M4, if your intrested in the guns, you can check them out here pictorials for guns
