  1. Wow, those new sets are awesome. I'm definatly gonna buy that snowmobile, it looks pretty good. The treads are neat..but not very good for making tank treads. I can see some awesome moc's coming out of those treads though. chewie
  2. Hobbes, I think that would be a lot of fun. Jinzo, a while back BloodyJay and I had tried to plan a EuroBricks North America meeting as well. Being as Jay has been gone for a while. I would be happy to plan with you a Eurobricks North America.
  3. Well, this isn't terribly scary at all, but has more to do with supernatural and being able to seperate your mind from your body. Both me and my and my dad have always been kind of interested in spirits. We've both read a book about how during the Cold War the Russians develpoed remote viewing, where they could seperate their mind from their body and see things thousands of miles away. long story short, some times when I'm lying awake in bed, and I close my eyes, I get the feeling that my mind is just "leaving" me, but when I think about it comes back. Aswell, when I close my eyes, I can see some what of an ora around objects. Maybe its just because I had just seen that object and can imagine now. I've never really be able to figure it out. As well, years back my dad had an out of body expierence where he was flying over the highway here and talked to a man who said "Hi my name is ______ I just died" The next day there was a car accident and a guy had died. I also totally agree that there are other forces out and around us. Chewie
  4. Ah, thanks for the info. This is definately cheaper than the $300 I saw on a bricklink store, but I still don't have the money. Thanks again and I hope ya find a buyer. Chewie
  5. Ah, thanks you so much. I could not think of Centaur for the life of me. I infact was just trying to think of what they were called.
  6. Gusmoore, you could always see if any member on the straight shooters list would be willing to buy one and ship it to you, providing you (obviously) pay them. If you've done a sale or purchase with some one on the forum here, more people would be willing to do it for you. I would say that is your best bet, but be ready to pay the cost of the set and shipping to Mexico. just my 0.02
  7. Mutley, how much is this Canadian? I might be interested. It's doubtfull that I'll be able to buy it, but its worth a shot.
  8. Here is my entry. The Skeletal Centaur Here is a comparison picture with a minifig to show my figures rough height. His body is also the dimensions of a 2X4 block Story: For many years, there was a house atop a huge hill, in which it overlooked a tiny town. All the towns folk knew the owner rode a horse, but no one really ever saw him doing so. When this mans house burn't down, it was thought he perished in the fire. However, there are still some townsfolk who believe to hear a man riding a horse sometime through the night. That man has come back as the Skeleton Centaur...did he ever really ride a horse...or was he part of it? Image added by Yoda Here is the BS folder when public
  9. Sorry to burst your bubble Axle, but the person who built it posts on FTBT and I don't think that he works for TLC...I also highly doubt that it will become a UCS set. Back on track, that thing looks really good, and it looks as though the builder put a lot of work into it. But I'm afraid I'm gonna have to agree with Yoda on this one. It's not really my favourite....
  10. Wow, I remember when you had posted a few pics asking for input, and a few people had commented on the Cathedral. It looks gorgeous now, I like it a lot, as well as the cart and hoe being pulled by the horses. Everything is awesome! Chewie
  11. Congratulations on the wedding Hobbes, hope you and your wife Karin have many great years to come!

    Tic-Tac-Toe

Hey, a new board game, this time its Tic-Tac-Toe with police and prisoners Here It's pretty cool. Although at $30 CAD thats a lot of money for 6 guys and assuming the board has the plates glued to it as well.
  13. chewie's response was the most intellegent reply in this thread. obviously an intellegent person when it comes to guns, their power, and their safty.because of that, he does't seem too "scary" to me. Thank you very much Brick Miner. People who are intellegent are the ones who should handle firearms Lets give another example. On a .45 semi auto pistol, you have the gun, the slide and the magazine. In order to safely pass this weapon to another person the magazine must be ejected from the gun, and the slide racked back and locked. I truly do believe in firearm safety. So I say, if a person can operate a gun in a safe maner they should be allowed to posses it. However, even a person can safely operate a firearm and still kill some one on purpose.
  14. In the US, in order to carry a concealed weapon, you need a CCW. In order to possess this CCW it takes about 4 months of screening through the local authorities to the FBI and you also need to have your licence that allows you to posses concealable weapons (pistols). Rifles and shotguns are a different story. Anyone can fire a rifle or shotgun, as long as you are firing that gun with a person who has there license to fire and posses that rifle or shotgun. High powered rifles- AK47's, M16's and any other high powered large calibre rifles are not that hard to get a hold of. But I do believe that you do require a seperate license to own and fire these weapons. As well, these weapons can't generally be concealed either. I know a guy in the US who has pistols from .22 to 45. and ak47s to shotguns. As long as these are in possession of people who respect the laws (which obviously isnt always true) I have no problem with people having guns. When carrying a concealed weapon (a pistol) the laws of engagement when feeling threatened are extremly strict. for instance; If you were in an alley and some one tried to attack you with a base ball bat, you can only fire your gun when they are within distance of hitting you. If you engage them any distance before that it is a criminal offence and you will be prosecuted to the extreme. As well, If you were cornered or stuck in a position, and some one kept proceeding towards you with a weapon drawn, you could pull your gun out and say, "if you don't get away I'll shoot you" and they keep proceeding towards you. You could possibly shoot them, but even then your getting in a sticky position with the law because they are not within striking distance of you. Just my 0.02 cents Random gun fact. The most prefered weapon of choice by assasinators is the .22 calibre pistol. Mainly because it is extremly quite and deadly at close range. Generally in pistol of .22 calibre the barrle is not rifled, (the twists inside the barrle to stabilze the bullet) and causes the bullet to "tumble" out of the gun. When shot into some one at close range a very unstable bullet will bounce around inside that person fragmenting into hundreds of little pieces. I am a pretty big enthusiast of guns, some people find that a little scary, but I believe as long as a gun is not used to harm anyone or anything (unless hunting for animals) it should be ok to have. 15. I also voted for Mysterious Crab. I love the slimple design made out of bricks and love the flow of the colors as well. I think everthing looks awesome. Where did ya get the crabs? (pardon the dirty pun) I've never seen any sets with them.
  16. Ras, I may just come.
  17. I'm thinking that March may be better, due to being off of school. April may work, but obvious reassons its just not the best thing. Haha, oops. I thought the date was either March or April, I just re-looked and I guess its April or May. In this case April would probably be the best date for me.
  18. well, I'm in Canada, but I'm definatly gonna see if I could go and turn it into a mini trip perhaps with my Mom or dad. I'll let ya guys know

    TT's Top Ten

I got three of them :-P Johncleese, I don't think the intention was for other people to make or not to make them, it was just a fun thing that TT put on. I also think TT titled it TT's Top Ten because he though of it and he did afterall start this thread
  21. Everything looks awesome!! I would however make some suggestions regarding the roof of the church, I like the overall look of it (its fantastic) but I would perhaps change the roof of the church from all studded to all smooth, or a ring of studs on the outside of an all otherwise tiled roof. As well, perhaps add some brown tiles onto the stairway of the church to make it look a little bit more like an entrance into the church rather than just grass. Other than that everything looks fantastic. Chewie NWBC, what is this? A LUG?
  22. I work in St. Jacobs Ontario Canada, at the lego store in the outlet mall. August is the month of a bunch of sales and various other great things happening in our store from our stores Birthday Bash. If your in the area stop in and see whats on sale!! Chewie
  23. I picked this beast up a back in June for my birthday and loved it. I too leaned toward this set because of the technich tread link. However you get an awesome amount of treads for $80 if you buy two wookie attacks as I did. But now for the set. I really do like this set and its a lot of fun to play with, moving the arms and hook up and down. I even motorized the most rear winch with a 9 volt motor. If you had 3 red mini motors you could easily motorize the whole crane. The counterweight problem is definatly not good and I agree with everyone else that it topples over way to esaily. Aside from the few niggles, the set is awesome!! Chewie
  24. I would say the 3rd guy, I think he looks the most modern. The 2nd guy in blue, I just didn't find that his head looked any good with the blue outfit. Number 1 guy looked pretty good, but I think that he looks a little too old style to be using a gun. I would go with the 3rd guy. Chewie
  25. there's one in barrie and niagara falls but i wish there was one in TO There is also Bricks and Blocks (where I work) I'n St. Jacobs, Cookstown (outside of T.O.) and one in Windsor, all three of them being bricks and blocks.
