  1. Wow, impressive new designs, specially the nice work you did with the trunks And the birdhouse idea is just great! best ideas are allways the simplest
  2. Wow, that's huge work! It's large but well detailed in my opinion and if it has an interior then it's even better! Welcome to EB
  3. Wow, you're such a LDD artist! These designs are pretty good, specially the way you managed the interior seats. If I could make one criticism it would be the tan sections, that would look better in brown but the rest is great
  4. What can I say but BRAVO? You really caught the Resistance ambiance, specially with the hair pieces and the guns
  5. Magnificent decals as usual, Penguin Those Cold Assault Droids are real masterpieces
  6. WOW! Wonderful LDD Job, the size and specially the accuracy are really impressive! I use to take SNCF trains (OMG, I can even hear those horrible three musical notes in my head! ) and I can say it's pretty close to the original ones. Thanks for sharing!
  7. BTW, somebody knows why Power Miners line is not available in Spain and Portugal? (It doesn't even appears in the catalogues... ) Is this happening in other countries?
  8. Maybe with some new IJ acquisitions (when finally available in Spain... ) I could do a couple of these sets. Anb maybe interest TLC about a new gangster Line?
  9. Nice! I'm having some problems myself with some trees I'm doing so I can really appreciate the good job
  10. Thanks! You're right, those impulses would be amazing, can you imagine a gangster's "army"? Sorry if I offended you, I juts used typical gangster situations, like the asian restaurant I use to work as translator so, believe me, I know how ridiculous stereotypes can be...
  11. Backstory: 1930, Lego City There are bad times for Lego City people. The baseplate streets are no more safe, not ruled anymore by law & order officers but by the gangs. These criminal organizations are ruining the town by smuggling, gambling, murdering and thieving in a big war for the control of LC, while the Police department tries by all means to stop their activities. Who will rule Lego City streets: the Dante Family, the Asiatic Yun's gang, or maybe the O'Reilly's? Enter the gang war: it's Lego Gangsters! Character done: Tony Dante, aka "Scarface". Leader of the Dantes Family. The MF is TLC elements pure, excepting the cigar, done by me from a brown broom stick. Front: Left: Back: Possible sets: LARGE: - Lego City Police HQ (Includes the HQ, a little prison, Police truck, Police car, 1 detective, 1 Police captain, 4 Police officers and a gangster) - Dante's Family secret Brewery (Includes a large building for the brewery and a small part of a street, a truck, Tony Dante, 4 gangsters, 3 workers, a driver and 1 Police Officer) - Yun's Family restaurant (Includes asiatic restaurant with a secret back shop, Yun's Family boss, 4 asian gangsters, 1 cook, 1 server and 2 clients) MEDIUM: - Street chase (Includes a Police Car and a car from one of the gangs, 2 police officers and 2 gangsters) - Smuggling truck (Includes a medium size truck and 3 irish gangsters) - O'Reilly's secret tavern (Includes a portion of a little irish tavern, O'Reilly's boss, 2 irish gangsters, irish server and 1 client) SMALL: - Police Car (1930's style) (Includes the car and 2 Police officers) - Street Fight (Includes 2 Dante's gangsters, 2 asian gangsters and 2 irish ones) - Lego City citizens (Includes 3 citizens, 1 detective and 1 Police officer) IMPULSE: - Tony "Scarface" Dante - Police Officer - Detective - Asiatic gangster - Irish gangster The pictures are at Brickshelf (when moderated) Thanks for looking!
  12. Black and Tan would be a nice scheme for me, maybe with some grey decoration elements
  13. Wonderful custom! The coat is particularly weel done, and I don't use to like these custom clothes
  14. Thanks for your answer, I suppose I could keep the same theme but with another MF
  15. You must have been busy! That's a wonderful collection of buildings, I specially like how you follow the classic style and the modular one at the same time. It would be great if you take a shot of all of them combinated in a street or something Nice job
  16. I was about to post my entry when, reading the rules again I realized it could be invalid... So here's the consequent question to the contest moderator My custom fig would be my "new" Maffia avatar so I suppose this could be considerated as a "not new custom". Nevertheless I've never posted it before as a single custom MF, just in a couple of MOCs as decoration and as that nice draw from Hound Knight in my avatar. Can I still participate with it? Thanks!
  17. Great! Love how you combined the 7641 design in a more Modular style As it's your first MOC I'm going to be kind The general ensemble is very nice, specially the structure in the middle but I've a little criticism about the doors. I my opinion they don't work at all for the repair shop, they remind too much to a victorian courtyard or something like that, specially with the decorations on the top where the bike and shop signs look a bit weird too. But, of course, that's just my opinion And I've also a question: the buildings have four walls or they follow the "doll house technique"? Seeing the pictures they don't seem very "deep". I look forward for the final MOC, keep the good job
  18. Great job! Nice and little BBQ MOC I specially like the "accessory" table and the flaming bucke.
  19. I think the printed ones would be ammunation specific so a larger one for the rest of the regular equipment is really necessary, but only if they're in campaign
  20. Nice MOC! I really like the rusty look of the exterior and the interior is great too with that funny cyborg henchmen
  21. Actually the word is not at all latin but greek. The meaning is "the ones who doesn't speak well (the greek)" or "the ones who mumble" so, as you say "foreigner". As many many words it passed into the "standard" latin but for the romans (and remember roman doesn't means necessarily italian. For example Trajan was originally from Hispania and became emperor) of the imperial era "barbarian" had more or less the modern meaning of the term : "uncivilized". Persians, for example, were not part of Rome and they were not considered barbarians at all!
  22. That's what I called a masterpiece MOC! There's not a single place without an accurated detail. I specially like all the good work you did with the crystal pieces. One word: BRAVO!
  23. Sorry for bein one of the last saying this but: CONGRATULATIONS, HINCKLEY!
  24. Let me say only that this forum's index is really great, specially because, as simonwillems says, it must be a hard work to keep every MOC presented on so congratulations and keep the nice work!
