Eurobricks Event 2014 - Who's coming by car?
Bfenz replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Dfenz and I are hiring a car so unless they give us a Smart Car we should be able to fit another 3. -
Hi If anyone is interested in set 79003 - Unexpected Gathering for €25 please send me a PM.
-
Dfenz and I are arriving earlier in the afternoon and can collect the 18:20 arrivals and bring them to Lalandia/Chalets. If you want to be collected please PM either Dfenz or myself with flight and contact information. I reckon Dfenz won't be available for late night collections as some alcohol will have been consumed at that stage.
-
Aww shucks! I was going to dress Dfenz up in a Team GB tracksuit and send him to you.
-
Yes, people wear these at the shows especially the exhibitors. In previous years attendees at the Afolcon part of the programme which is separate to The Lego Show received an Afolcon printed brick. I have no idea what the organisers will have in mind this year.
-
Sorry you missed the post. We will certainly let you know if the set is reduced again or if one becomes available.
-
No problem. Your name is on it. Dfenz thinks the store realised this evening that there was a pricing error when they saw him walking out with the sets as they were marked full price on the shelf. If we see them reduced again we will post.
-
5 DeLoreans now acquired for I Scream Clone, Christian, Quarryman, Scubacarrot and Holodoc. 1 more available. Now I have to break it to Dfenz that his hand luggage is full.
-
Oh No!! We are going to have to miss it this year as are going to the Eurobricks event in Billund. Having attended the show both years in Manchester I would recommend visiting the show to all.
-
A little earlier than usual but if anyone is interested I can pick up some De Loreans (set 21103) for €20 to bring to this year's Eurobricks event. Not sure how long the sets will be available so first come first served.

Thanks for the great reviews Pandora. The Tiger's Beautiful Temple is certainly my favourite - so much so that I bought a second one (and a third). My favourite parts are the new greenery parts and I can see a few more packs being purchased for these parts alone
-
Thanks for the comment on the window displays. It was a challenge to create a display in such a small space as there is a subway to the rear of the store. There are two more windows and these will be posted shortly. The 1x2 brick is a masonry brick.

Fantastic build Serengeti and everyone really loved it at the show this weekend.
-
Hi Daisy Great to see you here. Looking forward to seeing the fort. It looks like it is going to be a great show.
-
Holodoc If you are offering these 60025 sets for sale could you put me down for two please. Many thanks

Don't worry - you won't be on your own. I can't vouch for being sane ..... but sober I will be!!!!! -
Can you reserve one of these for me please if I'm not too late? Thanks.
-
LOTR - Orc Forge Ecclesiastes and Calanon - I have one for each one of you. Unfortunately all three are gone now but I will keep an eye out in case the shelves are re-stocked.
-
The Lord of the Rings set 9476 (Orc Forge) is €26 in our local Tesco if anyone is interested.
-
If you could pick one up for me that would be great. Thanks.

Dfenz and I have some of these to spare. See above

Dfenz and I will be arriving in Munich Airport on Wednesday about 10.30 (with 2 offspring). If you are not sorted with a lift PM me and we can make arrangements. For anyone who hasn't looked at the price for Legoland park tickets. The Merlin Annual Pass is valid for multiple visits to the Billund Park also. This might come in handy if next years Eurobricks event is in May. The pass also gives discounts in the German park (not sure about Billund) . See here for more details: https://secure.legol...10663&langId=-1 -
Dfenz is interested in 10 of these. Cecile, Dfenz says that would be great thanks Marcus, I'll accept one from you also - no harm in having a spare.

We normally use Munich airport as it has good flight connections and is about 90 minutes by car from Gunzburg. Munich Airport has good transport links to the city centre if you wish to avail of public transport to Gunzburg. Memmingen airport is nearer (approximately 40 minutes drive) and is used by Ryanair which is not a good option if you wish to purchase LEGO given their weight restrictions. Public transport options to Gunzburg may be limited from Memmingen. We have never used Stuttgart but it looks to be about the same distance from Gunzburg as Munich. -

I have shopped in the Obletter toystore in Karlsplatz many times and highly recommend it for good value. On the opposite side of Karlsplatz there are two large department stores with reasonably large toy (Lego) departments. While not always the cheapest for all sets we have always found some on special offer. The stores can also be accessed easily using the Karlsplatz underpass. The Mueller chain stores also provide good value for Lego sets.
