I'd really like to see more imperial powers. Bluecoats would be very nice to see in addition to the current redcoats. Natives are always good, as well. Really, I just want more factions than the two currently available.

I like this. It does a good job of looking like it's in a desert city. It doesn't look too clean either.

I agree, and I think LEGO needs to try to make its way back towards its older 'beauty in creativity' style than the current 'super hyper flick missile launcher mega fun pack' stuff. Well, medieval Europe didn't have undead armies or magicians. Military campaigns didn't center around kidnapping princesses. Most war in colonial times did not center around pirate islands or stealing treasure. It's been romanticized in that way. Romanticized modern war would be something like Adventurers.

I don't sort, but I keep the pieces from each bag in their own piles. Then, I just get a feel for what's where as I build.

LEGO has a no violence policy. While more recent themes (Wild West, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Exo Force) have had modern war elements, an actual World War theme is out of the question. The great wars are not something that has become fantasy. Wild West has been romanticized. Star Wars is science fiction. Indiana Jones is a pulp action movie. But World War One and Two? There is nothing fantastic in thousands of soldiers being mowed down as they go over the top. The closest thing to those sets you'll see any time soon are the fighter plane models and Indiana Jones.

Yar! Don't be wishin' away Pirates ye scurvy dog! I think Roman or Greek soldiers would be cool but with Castle already out there it would be a poor business decision. Perhaps they could be another Castle faction but that would begin pushing the number of warring factions too far.

I nearly peed myself when I saw this on the Brothers Brick. Pirates are back! Yar Har! The farm stuff looks promising too. If only they had done it sooner they would have gotten my sisters' money when they were younger. Pirates. YESSS.

Even though I do not like NASCAR(Non Athletic Sport Centered Around Rednecks ) that is a nice stock car.The wheels seem too small but there don't seem to be any perfect minifig scaled wheels. The windshield seems to be a little too far back but I love the sponsor logos. Edit: Wait, I think the height is what bugs me but I can see how it might be necessary.

I like them both and use them together. There are many different looking humans on Earth, why should it be different in the LEGO version?

Have you looked on the Brick Factory ? They seem to have the instructions you need.

I stored a Mega Bloks set in my attic and the elastic tubes became brittle and broke but I do not know what will happen to ABS plastic. (Do not worry. I have realized my error and shunned clone brands.)

Legoman, Star Wars came out in 1977. LEGO got the Star Wars license during all of the Episode One hype in 1999, twenty two years later. The red helmets are just mold tests. Edit: Aw, KimT beat me to the punch.
