I got the 8109 Flatbed Towtruck, 9394 Jet Plane, & the 8068 Rescue Helicopter.

I didn't mind the ending as much as internet outrage had led me to believe I would. I still enjoyed the game enough to have already started a fresh playthrough of all 3 games & DLC.

I love B5. I introduced my wife to it a few months ago, and we ended up watching through the whole thing. We still haven't watched Crusade yet though; I'm trying to postpone the intense disappointment of it (especially the score) for as long as possible. -
How can retailers offer cheaper Lego than Lego themselves?
Studio Draven replied to mobi's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Retailers pay a lower price; if they didn't, they'd never bother even stocking anything. Lego's prices are probably the recommended retail price. -
What set/sets brought you out of your dark ages?

The 9395 Technic tow truck. I bought it on a whim a few weeks ago, after not buying any Lego since the early 90s. Since then I've bought the 8069 backhoe & the 8048 buggy, and I'm saving up for the 8070 supercar. -
This is awesome! I live right near the Falkirk Wheel, & I've been to see it a few times. It really is a fascinating piece of engineering. The thing I find the most incredible about it is that the Wheel is so well designed, built & balanced that to rotate it takes roughly the same amount of electricity as it would to boil a kettle.

I watched the live action version of Space Battleship Yamato last night. SO much fun, and some amazing effects. Definitely worth a watch. -
A sad loss to me personally, both as a Star Wars fan and as an artist. RIP. :(

Picked up an 8048 Technic Buggy at Smyths for £19.99, reduced from £25.99. :)

I'm currently reading The Woman In Black by Susan Hill.

I've been making electronic music since the early 90s; a couple of bands (one was featured on an Electric Ballroom compilation here in the Uk along with Depeche Mode, Killing Joke, Ultraviolence and others) and now I'm doing solo stuff. http://redjackal.bandcamp.com/ I have my own studio here in Scotland with a 24 track digital recording setup, various programs, a bucketload of VSTis, and some hardware synths & samplers.

Aberdeen, but the price label was a properly printed one detailing the savings so it seems to be an official offer. Possibly your local one could get stock sent there if they don't have one; there were 8 left after I bought mine.

Tesco have the SE Millennium Falcon for £64. No WAY I could resist that. I didn't see any other reductions, but there wasn't a lot of stock left in the branch I visited. Also John lewis seem to have some sort of promotion going too; I picked up the 8069 backhoe for £25 (in store, that is. Their website is still £49.99).

I've been playing MTG since Ice Age. I stopped a few years back, but I'm just getting back into it due to my wife getting interested. I've been teaching her to play using a mono red sligh deck.

I'm enjoying the Prime RID figures so far. Sure, they're not First Editions; then again they also don't cost $60 a pop on the aftermarket. The best RID figures so far IMO are Voyager Megatron, Deluxe Soundwave & Deluxe Wheeljack. The others are okay but those 3 really do stand out.

"The Sword And The Sorceror" - a dodgy old 80s sowrd & sorcery (duh) flick with Lee Horsley. SO much fun to watch! In the ending credits it says "Talon will return in TALES OF THE ANCIENT KINGDOM". I remember waiting for years as a kid for this to get made, but it never did. I foundout yesterday after Googling it that they DID make it, 25 years later. Unfortunately, it stars Kevin Sorbo, so I don't hold out much hope for it...
