I picked up the Technic 42000 Grand Prix Racer today - it was already reduced from £79.99 to £67.99 (i think) and with the 20% discount on top of that it came in at just under £55.

Great review, as always! And what a gorgeous design; this takes the original Crawler and turns the cool factor up to 11. If I could afford to splash out on it, LOVE that license plate idea. I would in a heartbeat.

Perfectly put Blakbird. I'm still getting back into building with Lego, and since I stopped an entirely new way of building Technic has come out. It's been pretty much like starting from scratch all over again. Building other people's MOCs is helping me get a handle on how SNOT building works. I can't thank the people who take the time to prepare their plans & put them out enough.

There is one eBay seller offering repro sheets; he's based in Greece. I don't know what the quality is like, but his feedback is solid & prices seem pretty good. He's got an auction showing scans of 4 sets but says he can do others on request. I don't know if posting a link to him would be frowned on or not & I wouldn't want to annoy anyone, so I'll refrain from doing so. If it's OK with the mods I'll edit this post to include the link. I couldn't find a decent sized scan of the sticker sheet for 8448, so I made one myself. (It's not 100% accurate but it's pretty darn close); I just need to print them out. Does anyone have any recommendations for the right type of sticker material to print these out on?

I'm loving this line. However I did mod Pyrox to give him more bull-like legs & bulkier shoulders, and gave Scarox's arms a spring loaded action.

Thank you for the great review! What a gorgeous looking set. It's next on my Supercar shopping list. I have 853/956 and 8860, so this is the next logical step, followed by 8880. I also have 8448 & 8070, so I really want to fill that 2 set gap in my supercars!

I'll definitely be picking up Jet Rocka, Surge & Dragon Bolt. I'll probably wait for reviews on here before I get the others unless something changes.
