LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
GRogall replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Making things hard to get, is part of the marketing strategy! (Think of Apple and the iPhone 4 or iPad) And it usually proves to be very successful. I'm not sure if series 2 will be easer to get then series one. I have also heard that the Minifigure® series was not such a big hit at the New York toy show and that American retailers didn't order as strongly as European retailers. I'm sure that TLG decided to supply Europe with more stock for this reason and that it will only get better when series 3 is released. which i'm sure will not happen until sometime in the spring of next year! but we should hear or see pictures before the end of the year..... -
For those who live in Hong Kong Toys R Us has a great offer http://www.toysrus.c...-0710/bonus.htm Hope they have them soon else where too!

Well weil you people sort series 1 out, Brickjournal is reviewing series 2! -
Amazon Japan now includes a picture with the set, and this doesn't look promising!?
-
To legoguy3181 Not sure what you are trying to convey in your post!? But when quoting please don't include the images. also if you want to see what has been released in 2010 you might head over to Brickset 2010 where you will get pictures of all the sets.

OK, Have some information on series 1 (8683) All production of series one was finished at the end of March, and there will not be another production run! All european Lego brand stores as well as S@H have sold out and will not be restocked! Some distributers might have some stock left but it's very little. All American stock has been delivered to its distributers and will not get resupplied! Some stores may get stock from there distributer, so check your stores. All production of series 2 (8684) was finish end of May. Distribution of series two will begin in the 29th calendar week and hit european stores on or about 32nd calendar week (mid August) no word when series 2 will reach the US!? Hope this helps! PLEASE DON'T SCHOUT! -

Wow. Was at a local drug store (Schlecker) today here in Munich, and there sitting in the shelf where 3 unopened boxes of Minifigures so I took one to the cash and asked if she could open one for me, very rude and stupid lady says that she can't open the box before I purchase it, A little buff I then asked here how much for the box? Takes the box runs it over the scanner and says €1.99, So I'm thinking ok I can play stupid too and paid for the box and then left Wen't back into the store and purchased the other two as well! not a bad deal 180 figs for €5.97 I usually tell people that they make a mistake, but if the give me rude answers its there own fault! Also wander why Lego prints the same barcode on the box as well as the individual bags!? -
I have German (European) prices on the 2 Toys R Us sets 7848 Toys R Us Truck €29.99 8404 Bus Station €99.99 And should be available on the 28th Calendar week!
