Well if we go back to January 2007, Jamie showed us 3 prototype building in Frechen Germany Cafè Corner was already a set in production at the time. The first prototype: I'm sure turned out to be Green Grocer! The second prototype ended up being the Fire Brigade! But the third which depicts a German Fachwerk (Timber framing) style architecture we haven't seen yet in any set could one day turn out to be a post office!? I was just reviewing the popularity of the sets. The thread count has almost doubled from one set to the next. 10182 Café Corner: we first heard about the set in January of 2007 and the thread length is 17 pages. 10185 Green Grocer: we had about 10 pages of rumors which started in October 2007, and the 19 pages when we first saw pictures. 10197 Fire Brigade: also 10 pages of rumors and then 15 pages after the pics where released. (least popular, lots of complaints) 10211 Grand Emporium: 51 pages of rumors and pictures till the release. 10218 Pet Shop: 21 pages of rumors, 30 pages after we got the first real set info, and so far 6 pages after official info was released by TLG. So with the popularity as high as it is I'm sure we will see lots of these set for years to come! It would be pretty stupid of TLG to can the series any time soon!

Well, if you think the price for MS is nuts, you had better not look for CC at amazon. who ever the seller is he must really think there are no parts service like Bricklink. I knew that CC will one day fetch high prices but this is just (Wucher). I'm not sure if any one will ever pay this sum, but with the popularity that lego has reached in the last couple of years some day I'm sure the set will exchange hands. I'm just glad I bought a bunch of these when they where still available. and have even sold one and was able to buy 3 GE's with the cash.

Cool set! and an excellent review. I'm glad that TLG has decided to ad resident's to the new creator line. I will purchase this and the lighthouse when the become available here. Nice photos as well! :thumbup:

So here my thoughts after the great surprise of finally getting a picture. • I think that the Pet Shop will fit in well with the other building in the series. • the interior detail of both building as well as the back are great. • the colour's used are a nice addition. • the detailing of the sidewalk is a little bland, this is one of my favorite things about the modular''s, the pet shops sidewalk has almost the same detailing as Green Grocer. • I will probably place the two building to the left and right side of green grocer, colour wise RGB. • I have no gripes with the different hight's of the building, after all most street's from the 20th and 30th in the US are this way. See pic below! • I wander if Jamie Berard is the designer? Hope they make a video to tell us more about the set. • Alll though it's a great set, I still like Café Corner, then Green Grocer, Grand Emporium, Pet Shop, Fire Brigade in that order. Sorry didn't get Market street, because (I) still don't think it's part of the series. • And finally can't wait to get this set on tuesday, good job to TLG for keeping it so secret for so long! :tongue:
