Well, the Germany game for sure wasn't pretty (although the goal was fantastic!), but at least we're through. It was fun, I watched the game at the airport yesterday, and when Germany scored my family and I cheered in the middle of the airport. That's one reason I love the world cup, no matter where people are, there are always groups of people watching together. People were asking us about the score, and a lot of others were watching TVs, even in the US where people aren't crazy about soccer.

I'm depressed. That was a terrible game, now we have to beat Ghana... Really? I think soccer is very simple compared to most sports, and definitely simpler than american football. Anyway, the US definitely deserved that goal, and I hope they manage to move on to the next round.

Wow, can't believe Switzerland won! That was a very thrilling game, I kept thinking Spain would tie it up at the last minute. On the other hand, South Africa played terribly today... Uruguay definitely deserved to win that one.

But, there were numerous others that almost got my vote. Awesome work everyone!

I'm very happy! I ordered a set from Bricklink, and now that they've arrived, I'm a proud owner of the first 16. Personally, the quality looks great to me. They're slightly different than regular figs, but barely noticeable, and for sure not bad enough to not get these awesome fig designs. Later I'll go out to look for some extras of the ones I like the most. Can't wait for series 2!

That looks like a great entry Ratshot! I have one small suggestion: I would recommend including one overview picture, so when the voting thread is made, the voters can see the whole entry in one shot.

Actually, I think at some point I did have a portrait, but I think it must have disappeared, maybe when we changed to the new look. The new one looks even better.

Woo, go Germany! I quite like the song, haven't heard many of the others though (can't watch it in the US). The main reason I love the song is the hilarious english pronunciation of the lyrics.
