Sadly, you may not get any quality games for this new "dream console" this Christmas... So you may have to wait until Spring of 2006 as well (Halo 3's expected release date ;) ) ... and considering that it will only be reverse compatible for "top selling games", you will have to buy an entirely new game library... I still can't envision spending $300 on that at all... maybe that's just me... Life is Good. Well at least we get The elder scrolls 4: oblivion. That's going to be awesome! :) And it depends on what microsoft meant when they said "top selling games" it might be some of the really popular ones, all of them, or all the "only on Xbox" titles. only the future will tell...

I'm just going to wait untill they come out. I'm probably going to get a chance to play PS3 sometime, we can't do much now since the consoles aren't out yet.

After all that, i'm still saying that xbox360 is going to be MUCH better than PS3! Just my opinion, i'm looking forward to games like The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, and Halo 3 (really looking forward to this one, Halo 2's single player was horrible) "and in the real world (which apparently you're not in), hardware is much more important than a name." Hardware is important, but whats the point of all that hardware if you don't use it well? Sorry, here's some background information. in the future (not sure when, but man kind has cities all over the solar system) the war betweent he aliance and the coalition is coming to an end, and the evil coalition is winning, the alliance sends 5(maybe 6) "sleeper ships" to a far away galaxy so they can start anew. the game is a mix of space flight combat simulator (if there is such a category) and RPG. you can go pretty much anywhere int he galazy, there are tons of quests to do, and tons of npc's to blow up. multiplayer is especially fun

The only reason that some of the top 100 games of all time are nintendo games is because 1000's of kids buy them because they have pokemon or tennage mutant ninja turtles in them! :-D ;) But you actually believe that the new nintendo will have better graphics then PS3 or Xbox 360! ARE YOU CRAZY!!!!!! Xbox and playstations duel analog controllers offer better control, the games are GREAT (once again, can you say 16 player xbox live halo 3?) some of the Xbox 360 games will be able to play with more then 4 players on 1 screen. and they (Xbox 360, I don't know about PS3's games) don't rehash games over and over NINTENDO DOES! If I had a penny for every time I walked into my local blockbuster to see that there is ANOTHER new version of metroid prime, SSB or Zelda then I would be RICH! as far as I know there have been 4 or 5 Zelda games, and the latest ones have had ugly characters with big heads! AND THE GRAPHICS WERE HORRIBLE COMPARED TO XBOX OR PS3! and the fact that Xbox (and maybe PS) will have a media center means that you will be able to do more with the box then just play games! ok, now I'm done... ;) (and about the sons and fathers thing, Xbox and Playstation are the GREATER sons of LESSER fathers)

THIS JUST IN! my dad got home from work (at microsoft) and he saw the E3 tape! *Deep breath in* xbox 360 will be backwards compatible (for those of you who don't know that means it can playt he old xbox games), will come with basic xbox live for FREE! All the controllers are wireless, you will be able to rent and download movies if you have a media center PC, you can chat with people in chat rooms (literally with your voice) leave voice messages, and you will be able to replay saved xbox live games from different angles! there will be an online (xbox live) market place to sell and buy game items (only a few cents for weapons or something for a game, but possibly a dollar for new levels) you will also be able to download mods people have made for lots of different games! Microsoft is also going to hold game touromants with a $10 participation fee (the tournomants will have around 250,000 people, microsoft takes in 2.5 MILLION dollars) the first prize is 1 MILLION DOLLARS! and the games will be availible to watch on the xbox live lobby! *and out again* TAKE THAT PS3!! (what does one do with 100-120 gig's of memory? it just raises the price!) and I agree, nintendo has officially slipped of the face of the video game map, the ruler of video games will be either Xbox 360 or PS3 (Definately Xbox 360)
