The Metru were awesome...the gears in their chest made for a cool appearance of armor covering "muscle" of some sorts... The only problem I had with the Metru was their lack of secondary colors...such drab bley. That's why I liked Lhikan and the Hagah better.

Thanks cheesey skrall and Monasti.

Huh. Bionicle with a different name. Not fond of the design too much, but I spot more than a few interesting pieces... Anyway I don't have any of these Hero Factory (is that the name?) sets so a few ?s: Is the silver on the weapons the same as the 2001-2005 silver in Bionicle? Is it just silver on the weapons that's changed or is it stuff like pistons too? How does his mask attach? Thanks in advance.

So what is the problem? [completely unrelated to the above quote] I think that some people are confusing "ethnicity" with "nationality." I am an ethnic Korean who still has retained Korean citizenship but maintains residence in the United States.

I meant she hasn't had the greatest luck. She was hit by a shin injury right before the games and then crashed twice. But yeah, she does have that gold and bronze(?).
-
Excited for the short track events tonight. I predict Ohno takes the 500m gold. Lindsey Vonn hasn't had a very good Olympics, has she?
-
Argh...can't say I agree with the ref's decision to DQ Korea from the short track women's relay.
-
Ouch...it really sucks for Sven Kramer. So close to a medal, and an Olympic Record too, only to be DQed by a minor mistake (ordered by his coach of all people). The ski cross was entertaining and is now my favorite Winter Olympic sport.
-
I wish the Olympics would use a point system for ranking medals. For example, gold could be three points, silver two, etc. Gold should take precedence but all other medals should not be disregarded. Also, a big shoutout to Mexico's one man team. The underdogs deserve more coverage.

Review: 8988 Glatorian Legends Gelu
Icesaber replied to WriteMakesRight's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Wow, didn't know they were out yet. I really like Gelu's mask, the blades are a bit short but whatever! I like him! I would use your profile shot (with permission!) for my avatar but you're using it ;) ! Also nice pics. -
lol! What's the recolor? That's not saying much. Don't like Click. The last two Mahritorans had big feet. Kiina looks okay, I like the weapon and the tri-point armor thing. Her mask is ugly, her limbs could use some adjusting, and the body doesn't look bad (apart from color mess) Gelu's helm's cheeks stick out now and it makes him look not as cool. The blade's sweet though. I'm going to assume that Stronius is from a bad angle. The others I'm not having a change of opinion on.

...or you can control/right-click on it and select "open image in new window". (for macs, don't know about PCs)

Problem with "Remember Me" function?
Icesaber replied to Derek's topic in Forum Information and Help
I've tried everything. I've pressed the delete cookies, I've gone into Preferences and removed all cookies, I've ticked the Remember Me box. Still it won't keep me logged in. BZP and Yahoo I have no problems, it's just EB that keeps logging me out. This is really starting to tick me off. Is there anything I can do to keep myself logged in? -
I support Indianapolis Colts for American football and Cleveland Indians for baseball. I don't really watch any other national sports though I watch international tournaments. I supported Korea in the WBC

It does fit on a Glatori-head but it still looks like a bucket from my perspective. Plus I didn't like all the spikiness so I didn't vote for it. I wouldn't have minded Neaku's if it wasn't going to be Bunda. Great image BTW, Tyranide!
-
Incredible! I especially like how you altered Berix's helm to fit Strakk's ice pieces. That would be the perfect helm for Certavus that I can think of, actually...
-
Not necessarily. He could've said, "Can't answer." Does anyone else find that it a little annoying that despite some Glatorian being near-perfect embodiments of their element none of them have elemental powers? I voted for Bunda again.
-
What's that supposed to mean? Maybe Strakk's upper arm armor would look better if attached from the side.
-
Hmm...I bought a Power Pack for $18 and forgot to look at the CD (I was too busy staring at the shinyness that is the Chrome Hau). Thanks for reminding me!
-
I'm enjoying listening to all the accusations of fraud in the Certavus voting. Not saying that they're not necessarily true, as they may have some merit. How exactly did Entry 1 pull from an also-ran to leader by a (for this poll) large margin? Too much silver. Ugh. I was thinking of alternate helms for Certavus and I thought if the Kaxium Bros' helm was smoothed where it's ribbed, those ear things pushed in a little, and the back Halo part filled in, it might look fitting for Certavus (in blue or white of course!). What say you? I wish those new joints on Vastus/Kiina had been available from the beginning of the year. Malum could use them on his upper arms. Maybe Strakk too.
-
Well, I like Bionicle (not as much as I sued to though) and I've always liked the ice guys – particularly Kopaka. And lightsabers are cool, so I put together ice and saber (from lightsaber) to make icesaber.
-
I think getting rid of the gunmetal would help, but I do honestly think that Bunda's best embodies Certavus. I think Metus's helm might've been better, but Berix works too. Brickeens I dislike for a couple of reasons. The helm doesn't look that great (nice try for a custom one but doesn't work). All the spikes don't fit Certavus. And the sword seems a little too heavy for Certavus. I guess Zesk shall be mine.
-
Oh yeah, I might mention I have increased my '09 collection to include Metus and Malum. I already had Berix and Atakus. Metus looks so cool. And his helm, when lying on the ground with the axle pointing down, reminds me of a clawed hand. Do any of you recommend Zesk? The helm looks cool and he looks nice standing there, but I'm not a fan of posing problems. If I were to get him, he would be my last Agori (not counting the vehicles) as I have no interest in Tarduk or Raanu. I wish Malum's armor on his upper arm lay across the side rather than the front. It looks awkward. EDIT: Can anyone tell me why the board keeps logging me out when I quit? I've got the Remember Me box checked. If I close all windows but don't quit Safari (I don't plan to switch to Firefox, so don't tell me that!), it keeps me logged in, but not when I quit. It's never done this before.

I voted #3, Bundalings. I'm partial to #2 as well for some reason. I'm not sure what people are seeing in #6 and 10 (they're nice builds, just not Certavus-y)
