  2. Great job! Keep on creating!
  3. Another opinion I think I will add for discussion is if Lego gets a part "chromed" or has a sticker made from where ever they get their parts, and you as an individual goes to maybe even the same company to get your Lego parts chromed, or get stickers made, what is really the big difference? And back to my problem with wanting to get more of the Jack Stone chrome tanker parts, which are really hard to find new or used, if I could have the opportunity to say "rare". If Lego, because of the cost, which I saw someone here mention, does not do it, and you as an individual goes somewhere to get it done so you can have a chrome tanker, is that really a big deal? Please do not get angry or upset or anything like that with your comments.
  4. Believe it or not but you just made my day! I have been buying from ChromeBricks for a while and I never came accross the Chrome Block City! Duh! They have the parts I have been looking for and even have a statement about making a request of a part. I really want to get some more of those tanker parts. I hope this is the right answer for you - I have seen the terms chrome silver, chrome black, chrome pink, and more on BrickLink when you go to an advanced search and look at the color selections. And after some research because I have been wanting the tanker parts in chrome silver I found this one place that calls their way of doing it "Using a three stage vacuum metallizing plating process". Link: Their site.
  5. Great job! I have the idea for the perfect addition if you can find the tanker parts. Chrome Octan Tanker
  6. A little addition of some examples for consideration as to some of the comments of a little bit of chrome: A little chrome - A little more chrome - No chrome at all - I would like to get more of the tanker parts that I was able to get to make this: Anyone ever check out chromebricks.com a store on BrickLink?

    MOCs: ER0L's Cars

EROL, I am really getting tired of you creating all these great cars! You know I am just kidding, right? You have got some of the best ideas. Someday I will finish one that might be as good. As I have heard others say: Build On!
  8. I was wanting to get opinions about chrome parts on MOCs in general and maybe even specific. I am sure there will be some extreme types like me that think "bling" on a vehicle is wonderful. I may be an exception. Lego has made some chrome parts in the past and some are still available on places like BrickLink. There are stores that sell chrome parts that Lego did not chrome. Then of course if you want to spend the big bucks you can have any Lego part "painted" with a chrome, gold or even copper finish at a place that does that type of thing. Lego made a set 3442 LEGOLAND California Truck which had some nice chrome parts on it. Lego made the tanker part of the Jack Stone series set with chrome sides. I guess one of the parts on both these that I would have chrome would have been the wheels. Chrome wheels on long haul American trucks I know is very popular and even massive chrome front bumpers and fuel tanks. There is the Lego part: 71137b - Vehicle, Exhaust Pipe with Technic Pin and part: 2412b - Tile, Modified 1 x 2 Grille with Bottom Groove/Lip available in chrome that Lego has made. I am not sure if they still make without doing some research. There are the of course the chrome stuff related to Star Wars like the light sabre and I have seen a chrome gold C3P0. There are the swords, shields, etc., in other sets. I actually did a picture comparison on a truck I made: Ok, some of the opinions I am wondering about. Should Lego make more chrome parts available? What about chrome decals? What about chrome sticky paper? Other opinions?
  9. This is a collection of my Racers, Tiny Turbos, & Creator creations. It will be added to as time and interest permits. I guess another way of putting it: I am going to MOC around the clock tonight. Sorry it is an old rock and roll mentality at work in my mind. The first one was inspired by some of the great creations on MOCPages" Here is a combination of dark gray and black with some of the new wheels from Lego: CHROME, CHROME, and more CHROME: Here is a little MOC that might be too hot to handle: This is a little off road all terrain type MOC: And then the highway version with some of the other new Lego wheels: Previous version of my Chrome Dome Speeder:
  10. Very nice MOCs. Great design and imagination.
  11. Welcome, I am new also, enjoy and get even more creative!
  12. Very informative and helpful. Thank you!
  13. Thanks Phred. I updated my profile and the link seems to work ok so I guess I am getting a little more used to EB. I will definitely be getting back with you.
  14. Wow! I will say that backwards !woW Great creation! I hope you will not mind my little addition.
  15. Hi, thank you for your comments and patience. I have only been creating and designing with Legos for a little over a year now but I still have hundreds of creations that could be posted but since you are curious I am thinking that I am supposed to do something different like maybe separate the posts into groups? Slow it down a little? What am I supposed to do? I post on MOCPages, LEGO.com, and photo places like PhotoBucket and Flickr. I am posting on EB because I thought that one of the purposes of EB was to share creative ideas and that is what I thought I was doing. I am not trying to spam or sell or anything else but share my ideas in what I have created. Thanks!
  16. I am sorry but I was asking what was the quote in reference to? I am not trying to be difficult or offensive in any way but I do not understand what you were talking about so I do not do it again. From one of the BrickLink stores I was buying parts from one day. I was getting some dark gray and black ones and I saw those and got some of them also. Now I have more than I need. I do not have so many that I could build a life size car but almost.
  17. Sorry, I changed the font so I could edit it better when I was typing it, I wear thick glasses. Question: what were you referring to with the information from Siegfried?
  18. Well I guess I would not really need a crane since the loader could just drive up a ramp on a flat bed trailer. I guess I just need to use my long trailer hooked up to a nice long semi and put both the loader and the dump truck on it. Hmmm. I will have to make a picture of that with a couple of construction workers and a pile of Legos to pick up. Maybe I am wrong but you only really need a crane for a boat or a cargo container - something that does not have wheels.
  19. Great job!
  20. Oh no, I goofed again, I did a new reply instead of an edit. Am I the only one making all of these mistakes? I wish I would have seen this a few minutes ago. Thank you for being so patient Rick. Almost 62 and still learning by my mistakes. So, in my old thought or my old way of thinking or putting it in to my own words, my Mega topic will just keep growing instead of making a new topic and or reply? I'm having trouble finding the "hints" on how to do this on the web site. Is it as I have heard said "It is right before my eyes?".
  21. Oh, I forgot to add this style of front end for a short cab tractor that was from a you-tube video I saw from I think it was brickboys518. It sure is different with the SNOT technique used. . Then I had this idea for a short cab with a sort of flat bed, it could be modified for use with the Maersk cargo containers. This was a different idea for one of the cargo container semi tractor that LEGO has I think it is in a Maersk kit with a cargo ship: The back ends got changed like this one because I did not have the parts when I made the above triplets. This has a removable cargo container: This one was done using the medium blue LEGO bricks which I call Ocean Baby Blue like my Ocean Baby Blue Sport Wagon above here somewhere. Sorry but the lighting when I took my photo made the blue look a little different: And a couple more of the short semi tractors. Like one in basic black: I know, I know, some do not like all the chrome this next one has some but still not a lot compared to my modification of this one with even more chrome like the wheel wells/mudguards and some whip antenna. So put on your sunglasses - it will be getting bright. I thought it was interesting that I could not find the "vent" grill type things on the roof in chrome. Anybody know of any? Below is a dark green and dark gray semi tractor and trailer. I did not have any doors for the rear of the trailer so it is just for the visual effect. Who ever heard of a trailer without doors, oh well, here it is. It is one "panel" longer than the LEGO City Truck trailer. Below is the above tractor that I modified because the trailer set too far back when attached but I found out later after checking online that that is just the way it is. Who knew? Oh where, oh where has my trailer gone, oh where, of where can it be? Sorry, do you ever just break out in a MOC LEGO ditty? And a little red for you fans of red bricks: Here is a modification of the triple axle with the wedge type headlights and a little less dark green on the cab. Oops, the driver left his yellow coffee mug in it again. I will have to have a talk with him! Oh, I forgot this one, it is for when you need a really long, long, long, did I say long trailer? The black square towards the front of the trailer is one of those wierd looking technic type cube parts. I actually put bricks through the middle of it and used the technic pins to hold it all together. It really is a firm connection for the hitch.
  22. These are a little of what I have tried to do to add to the LEGO City Truck, Oil Tanker, etc. So here are a few of my ideas: This uses dark green with a short cab semi. This is the tractor by itself: This one uses a shorter trailer using the standard LEGO Blue: This one is a little change to the cargo tractors I call Red White Moving with our friend Red whose last name is White, so Red White Moving, oh how hard it was to name this. LOL:
  23. Sorry Ricecracker, I tried to delete them when I clicked on the wrong "reply" and then tried to add to the topic and it just came back. I am trying to learn, really I am, please be patient.
  24. Thanks.
  25. You know it is one of those things about the chrome - some like it - some do not - here is the USA they go bananas over it! They are done by chromebricks in Germany. Thanks. It was funny how close it is to the color of the wave behind it and I did not even think about when I took the picture.
