  1. As for me there is a bunch of sets that I don't really like. Here is the list and reasons for disliking them: 7151 - Sith Infiltrator Just because it's too cubical and looks ugly even for it's time. Never wanted to buy one 7159 - Star Wars Bucket I don't know what was TLG thinking about when making this set, so it is what it is 7190 - Millennium Falcon Don't know why but i simply don't like it. Maybe for the same reason as 7151 7127 - Imperial AT-ST Looks like chiken even though original model is called so by fans. This can be described as chiken much more. But it was good enough for me when I got it for my 5-th B-day 7657 - AT-ST Re-release of previous set, but looks like it was designed as original 7127 back in 2000 with some improvrments generally made due to release of new parts. Fail 10178 - Motorised Walking AT-AT Nice try to make a toy but a step back in design comparing to 4483... 7669 - Anakin's Jedi Starfighter Ugly ship and ugly Anakin. When I first saw THIS I called the ambulance because of heart attack 8039 - Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser As I made some friends in hospital it wasn't a problem to get back there again a year after 8087 - TIE Defender Poor design, no control panel and overall looking like it gonna fall apart any second. Someone borrow me some glue! Those aren't all the sets I don't like, but are primary ones
  2. I got 3 new figures for last week: Logray, Tokkat and Bossk
  3. Thanks everybody! I'm glad I inspired so much of you for taking a look at your past. Hope that my next reviews will be as popular with users as this one is
  4. I also buy duplicates for minifigures or for scenes recreation so I have: 2x 7654 for droids 4x 7655 for clones 2x 7659 for stormies and to build 1 ship from 2 4x 7667 for stormies 2x 7668 for rebels 2x 7748 to get 2 vehicles 2x 8083 for Hoth rebels 2x 8084 for snowtroopers And that's all
  5. Thank you everybody for positive replies, I'm glad you like the review. I also don't think that this hemispheric barn can be called as 'cantina', but IMO it's enough for a set. BTW the whole review was shot on Nokia 6500 (please don't consider this as an advertisement), so the answer to 'Who shot first?' question is 'Me'
  6. Thanks for your reply! I'm planning to make some more reviews of other old Star Wars sets in some time
  7. My first review at EB! So, I want to introduce you a well-known set from Star Wars series 4501 - Mos Eisley Cantina. I've been dreaming about it since 2004, when I first saw it at the toyshop and finally my dream came true. I got it for 90$ (with an additional stormtrooper minifigure as a gift) - the lowest price at the time of purchase and for now (quite a big difference as for original 30 bucks, right?). Set info: Name: Mos Eisley Cantina Number: 4501 Theme: Star Wars Pieces count: 193 Minifigures count: 5 Year released: 2004 MSRP: 30$ Links: Brickset, Peeron, BrickLink I got this set in great condition from adult collector. The set itself was released in 2 editions - Original Trilogy Edition and Blue Edition. I own the second one, but it doesn't affect the contents: the difference is just between box/instructions art. The set includes Luke's Landspeeder (2-nd edition, 1-st - 7110, 3-rd - 8092), Cantina and Dewback (both released only once in this set). As far as I don't have a box, let's start the review with the manual: The art on instruction's cover is the same as on the box: Minifigures assembly pages: Random instructions page: Other sets of 2004 line advertisement and X-Wing pilot telling us to visit Star Wars section at lego.com: Now let's take a look at minifigs. There are 5 included in this set. 3 of them can be easily found in other sets, but this version of Han Solo is exclusive to 4501. Hope I don't need to remind you that famous Greedo () can be also found in this set only and that he also costs quite a big ammount! (From left to right: Sandtrooper, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Greedo) Closer pics: Figures from backside: Notice that only Sandtrooper has backprinting and Greedo has printed arms: Now let's move on to Dewback: Muzzle closer: From backside: With rider: (sweet couple ) Next comes Landspeeder X-34: Rear view: With Luke and Obi-Wan: Luke shows his transport: And it's features (trunk where lightsaber can be stored): And well-detailed cabin with steering wheel and control panel: And the final part - Cantina: Main hall and table for visitors: Bar stand with drinks: Cantina entrance: The entrance and bar stand are linked with the main hall by swivel bricks which gives more playability and lets you "turn in" your facility ( ) for transporting (just like sweets shop from 4756): Han and Greedo sitting at the table: Table opens to put a blaster in: ...to act out a scene from Episode IV "The New Hope": The complete set view: The scores: Positive sides: + A well-built and playable set + Han, Greedo and Dewback minifigures included only in this set Negative sides: - Inaccessibility. Not because it's rare, but because there aren't much offers to buy this set on BL and E-Bay at reasonable prices. Mostly because of Greedo and Dewback - Just as many people here and at other sources said, there is probably "a lack of Cantina" in this set How can we conclude the review without bonuses? Enjoy: HD photos at Brickshelf Thank you for reading my review! C&C are welcome
  8. Great and funny MOC! A nice idea as an alternative for 6210
  9. The Rancor Pit is awesome. I like the figs and an ability to combine it with 9516. Hope I'll be able to buy both
  10. According to Brickset my entire collection is worth of 1800$ (US). I counted that SW part of it costs 1150$ (US). But that is only RRP. So, that means that it may cost much more if selling through BL (for eg)
  11. As I focused on rare Star Wars sets, my recent purchases were: 3x 7655 - Clone Troopers Battle Pack (Now I own 4 of them) 1x 4501 - Mos Eisley Cantina (My must have for almost 8 years. A big tick in bold at my wanted list) 1x 7655 - Droids Battle Pack 1x 6205 - V-wing Fighter 1x 6207 - A-wing Fighter 1x 6208 - B-wing Fighter Last 4 sets are on their way to me. Hope I'll resieve them soon
  12. Very informative and constructive review. Hope I'll have a possibility to buy it before 2013 (as I focused on rare sets)
