Guys and Gals, I finally decided to try some print removal on torsos for an upcoming project and it works really great ;-) Since there are not much tutorials on EB, I decided to do a small one ;-) I hope this will help you in some ways !! First, lets start with what you need All what you need is on that pic ;-) * "polish" (the material used to remove scratches and polish a car) commonly known as "Brasso" (which is the name of a brand ;-) ) * loads of cotton buds * Printed Lego material First here is an old grey HP fig that will be print less :-P The method is really easy but time (and cotton buds) consumming !! Put a little bit of Polish on the cotton bud and apply on the printed part. Rub continuously the part with the cotton bud !! You can actually hear when it works because of the scratching noise it makes !! Look at the cotton bud becoming darker and coloured !! Be patient my padawans because its really time consumming, but at the end, you have a perfectly monochromatic part with unaltered colour ;-) From my example, our little HP friend is good as new ;-) Once its finished, rinse and dry !! You might want to apply a little bit more if the resuslt is not perfect (its hard to see when the fig is not perfectly cleaned ;-) ). I hope this short tutorial helped. Tks Jon ;-) I know there are still 4 parts that needs to be changed. I wouldn't/couldn't change those for two reasons: 1) In order to change the red Technic pin, you have to dismantle the whole Technic architecture of the Tower (and I didn't want to do that :-P I should have changed it when I built the thing !!) 2) Lack of bluish grey parts for the other parts (two 2x2 corners + one modified 1x2 with Handle) ;-) Mod On !! *yoda*

I watched last night the entire Star Wars Original Trilogy (unfortunatly it was the 2005 version full of crap >:-( ). It was such a long tilme since I saw the entire trilogy in one shot !! I really understand why these are in my favorite movies of all time *sweet* The only problem is that, at the end, you get easilly annoyed (stupid word language filter :-D ) by TLC for their lack of production of certain sets/MFs you just saw a few moments back X-D :-P Oh boy, those movies really revolutionised Science fiction forever !! Watch on !! *yoda*

Guys, in yet another shameless act of double posting, here are the mods I applied to my dear ISD (yeay I pimped my ride :-D ) First, I replaced those horrible trans neon green parts (6 bar/lightsaber blade & 8 round 1x1) with light bluish grey. Also I got rid of those horrendous shooting mechanisms ;-) Then, I added a 8x4 light bluish grey plate to cover the gap in the tower (TLC and gaps :-| - Crawler as a slight reminder *cough cough* ): Finally, I replaced two 1x4 white plates with light bluish grey plates at the rear of the tower: Now a few shots of the entire modified model: I really think the ISD looks way better all in grey - this makes it a "mini" UCS ;-) Hope you enjoy them and feel free, like always, to post comments and crtiticisms !! Mod On !! *yoda*

Wait tomorrow ;-) I am modifying it now !! All I need now is a 8x4 plate in light bluish grey to finish hehe !! EDIT: I finished all the mods I wanted to do !! I must say that it looks way better in all grey hehe ;-) I will post pics tomorrow morning !! Mod On !! *yoda*

Okie TLC there are some stupid things in the ISD !! First, there is no meditation chamber in the ISD, and there is no communication with the Emperor (holograph) on that bloody ISD !! Its all in ESB on the SSD *wacko* Second, (apart the fact you never see the escape pod of the ISD, except at the beginning of ANH -a round escape pod and not the one in the ISD set- that bloody escape pod on the box art is reversed !! The front should fall first and not the engines *wacko* (especially that on the instruction the front is suppose to fall first *wacko* Well played on those details looool *yoda*

Well, since I learned about SB Lego, I decided to buy a dvd to "learn" about SB. I finally bought the entire First Season. I have learned in 3 dvds lool. Even though the characters of Bob and Patrick are truly annoying (they really aggravate me), the characters of Squidward and Mister Krab are hilarious !! The money loving crab talking like a real pirate (argh argh argh), and the always pessimistic and talentles squid are a must see !! Plus there is the funny Plankton which is a total mess, he will never succeed in anuthing loool. I like the aquatic themes in general and I think the design of the houses are nice ;-) *yoda*

Great review once again Chris *y* I really love this set despite the basketball and other crappy shooting devices :-| Lets hope they will reach France and the rest of Europe !! I will definitly buy this set !! I have two small questions Chris: 1) Since I don't have any pull bac motor vehicles, can you easilly modify the boat/car (taking the motor away ??) 2) Is that TV a printed part (it looks like one) ?? That would be awsome !! Is there any stickers at all in this set ?? Tks in advance Chris ;-) *yoda*

2) Yeah; the way I look at this, though, is that it's Lego, and if you don't want it in your model, don't put it in :) 3) I don't think that will be a problem, honestly. I think they're likely to use the same old Pirate hulls. I was pleased to see that the Viking boat used the same middle-hull piece as the old pirate sets, so this proves that they are willing to use old molds. (unfortunately, the use of that piece made the viking boat too big, because the hull piece was designed for wider ships, and they needed 3 of them to make the longboat the proper dimensions, so the scale is way bigger than minifig scale) 4) Not sure what this means 5) I think I remember an old female pirate MF, or am I remembering wrong? 2) really, I can't leave them out and not build them ?? Wow what a relief :-| Its just annoying to have some useless parts that make the set more expensive :-( (throw another MF instead ;-) ) 3) I love the old pirate hull, I'm just hoping they won't use the 4+ hull or the Durmstrang hull :-X 4) look at wave 1 of KK2 Mfs 5) there was one pirate woman, therefore you do remember correctly. When you live on both sides of the law... How close is too close, how far is too far ?? I have a fantastic feeling about this upcoming movie (July 28th) !! I think at first it was cool to have nice figs, new hair pieces, mechas... What can we do with a lot more mechas and robots and what have you !! To be successfull next year, they need to come up with something different !! Sure the new sets coming out are great but they are huge !! I think i will drop the line now to save room/money !! *yoda*

He he, these RC trains might have the same lifespam as the LULs Mfs X-D :-P Its like Exo Force TLC, Power Up !! Seriously if the engine has a real low power, this means that it can only pull with satisfactory speed one poassenger car ?? That would be more than stupid !! Great Find here Hobbes ;-) After viewing the great review and pics made by ILTCO's Larry Pieniazek, I think that this set looks better than I originally thought it would be !! I am still not sure if I'm going to buy any of the new trains though. There are lots of really interesting sets this year and who knows what next year will hold ;-) *yoda*
