Well, the "My Own Train" sets had engines without the motor ;-) The Super Chief and BNSF also are motorless ;-) I'm pretty sure that the instructions will provide for adding a motor like they did for all the motorless engines ;-) *yoda*

highlandcattle, Yes I am a bit pissed by TLC for the reasons I put forward !! I agree that the design of the train is nice even if its a slight redesign of the old classic "My Own Train" sets. What truly aggravates me is that this set represents TLC's "Christmas special" on a big sets - meaning: * the colours are horrendous: sure you can always mod the set but since TLC has to put tan and blue in all SW sets it finally costs a fortune to mod all these babies !! For once I wish a set that is just perfect in terms of colours !! Its really pretty rare for me !! The A-wing is a great example of great colour scheme with no apparant tan or blue. * Its clearly intended for the US market (like the beautifull Boing 787) and that annoys me because TLC is a European company and Europe is its biggest market !! Hope that made my point of view clearer ;-) Do not worry, I can make loads of compliment to TLC when they do great sets like the beautifull UCS AT-ST and UCE Batmobile ;-) *yoda*

Off course !! Especially in the dog fight sessions !! Thats why it has S-Foils (I never seen those types of wings on old grey and bulky spaceships X-D ) ARC stands for Aggressive Reconnaissance starfighter !! The ARC-170 fighter is a bulky, aggressive ship covered with weapons: 2 medium laser cannons, 2 aft laser cannons, 6 proton torpedoes and operated by 3 pilots !! A pilot handling the flight maneuvers, a copilot operating the laser cannons mounted on the ship's wide wings, and a tailgunner operating the dorsal rear-facing cannon. The fighter also carried an astromech droid for onboard repairs. So bring your puny missile launcher on :-P !! *yoda*

What what what ?? Off course not !! Those Technic parts are here for aerodynamics (holes) and makes the ship lighter (for the same reasons) !! Lighter and more manoeuvrable ship = kisck megablocks :-D *yoda*

Don't make me laugh !! Too late !! ROFL :-D That Puny Rocket launcher cannot do any harm to an ARC 170 which is way fastest than that rocket and which would destroy it and send it in the oblivion of space :-D *yoda*

G Lego Designers should stay away from that white powder that cost a hell of a lot :-| How to take the classic train (great) and modify it with stinking Chrismasy colours !! It makes me want to puke :-X It seems that all those new crappy sets are for the US market (where Chrismas means so many greens bills and not trees :-| ) I sincerely hope its not an actual set !! If that continues at this pace, we should have a special Anti TLC week forum :-D Seriously in less than a week we had: * the "joke" of comic con * the crappy Boing 787 * and now that G Time out please and announce good sets please !! *yoda*

Another fantastic line I missed because of bloody crappy Dark Ages >:-( I always loved the sea and sea exploration so it was the perfect theme for me !! It also has that adventure feeling: diving trhough dark waters to "hunt" for treasures !! I love that !! Especially the Deep Sea Bounty set (6559) with the whale squeleton *wub* The boats were great !! None of those floating boat crap hulls and they had those cages and retro feel little subs !! On Bricklink there are 10 listed sets all dating from '97 but I think the theme was produced for at leat 2 or 3 years !! I really want a revival of those sets ;-) *yoda*

Look at pics of the real 787 The Lego model is such a great copycat :-| Where is that slick and smmoth nose ?? Whatever that model is crap !! Also what pisses me off is that a European Cie does a Boing model and NOT an Airbus model !! Where is TLC going to with that >:-( *yoda*

Indeed !! Investing huge load of money to be present at Comic Con and show NOTHING is a strategy that eludes me :-| All those great publicity and making fans happy going down the drain because of the incompetence of certain big bosses >:-( Especially regarding SW, its a freaking licence you morons !! Only Hasbro and TLC can make toys and Hasbro release all the sets that we want !! Even an Jedi Temple sets !! So Hasbro has nothing to take from TLC :-| !! *yoda*

Well last year, SW.com communicated the USB and all the january SW sets ONE week BEFORE Comic Con and this year NADA !! I am really amased by suchg idiocy and incompetence :-| *yoda*

Nope, they're only releasing the X-wing and the 10175 UCS TIE Advanced. I love the fact that sets shows in store BEFORE they communicate on them (I wonder when the day of having a full review on EB before TLC communicate will happen !!) !! Oh boy that company is defintly run by a bunch of jackasses !! They really should be ashamed of themselves and copy Hasbro !! *yoda*

I totally agree with you Poohbear !! Considering the time and money Lego put in its participation for Comic Con, we really did expect something a lot better !! Fans like me are immensly pissed at TLC stupid management !! They haven shown anything !! The minimum was displaying that xwing and the two new UCS sets: AT-ST and Tie X-1 !! I was also expecting new products for '07 (SW and all the other licences !!) and they gave us NADA !!! I wish TLC were doing what Hasbro is doing :-| *yoda*

Okie here is a quick update for the newbies to this thread ;-) This is a REAL set found at TRU Holland !! I read that the person taking that pic will buy a new cell phone and will post more pics so be patient hehe !! And I inquired with TRU today and they are not aware of such a set but they are morons and don't know anything about the products they sell :-| The price is 69.99 (same as the Slave1) so its safe to assume that in France it will be 59.99 since the Slave1 is 59.99 ;-) *yoda*
