Yes Ultra Prime, that would be me ;-) Evolution is one thing that is normal in the course of a show, cartoon and yada yada yada. Its perfectly OK IF (and only IF) the true spirit remains ;-) Let me take an exemple to illustrate what I'm saying: I am a die hard fan of the 80's show Miami Vice ( *wub* ). I still haven't seen the movie yet but I know that the spirit of the show is gone !! So I'm sure it will be a good M.Mann movie but without any relation with the show. I have a feeling that the Transformers movie will suffer the same fate BUT I haven't followed the show for a lot of years and I am counting on you, the hard core fans from the beginning to enlighten us ;-) I admit I am bias on the subject for two reasons: * I totally despise M.Bay * I am more of a nostalgic fan - I really think that the robots are WAY TOO modern. I mean modernity is ok off course BUT if it limits itself. From the pics we saw That alien Megatron ressembles nothing at all, its really hideous, and what the hell is that Bumblebee thing suppose to be. Sure I was not expecting Ferdinand Porsche's design of the Classic Beatle, but I was not expecting that either. They should have stayed with the new Beatle which would be a perfect mix between Nostalgia and Modernity ;-) *yoda*

I sense the Miami Vice trend here ;-) Real fans will be pissed because its so way off the original, but its going to be a M.Bay movie (which will be bad because M.Bay is an extremely bad director !!), nothing more ;-) Just design wise those Transformers dude are hideous and way too modern - and thats only the toip of the iceberg IMO ;-) Those things happen when money dictates art ;-) Ahh the days when it was not like that :-| EDIT: I know Ultra Prime, I was beeing sarcastic there ;-) *yoda*

Loool, we all have our odd habits and quirks :-D Personnaly I do mix my bricks. Having said that: * I never mix old colors and new colors (It took me ages to sort those 4 bloody greys *wacko* ) * Crappy old bricks and parts do NOT go in my sorting (fortunatly I don't have a lot of those, only a couple from BL or Ebay) Like Gyl mentionned, sorting is already a hassle and lot of work so I don't see the point of overdoing it for no real reason ;-) *yoda*

Indeed !! Also, in ordrer to have a hero, we need a foe ;-) Its as simple as that ;-) JT would be a generic fig if there was not Lord Sinister !! That is particularly true with named characters. Also enemies are needed to brake the boredom of the theme: what is the interest to have 30 WW Indians MFs if they have no cowboy to scalp :-D The same argument can be used with pirates and all those great themes. To go even further, thats a reason why that fantastic Viking line was stopped: an army of MF fighting gigantic Bionicle creatures is way less fun !! But having them pillage a village, as awsome it would be for us AFOLs, is NOT PC unfortunatly |-/ Thats also a reason why I doubt we'll ever see this Roman theme. I would love to see gladiators beeing thrown to lions in front of Ceasar 8-

Everything remotly attached to Lego is GONE from your life. A total disinterest !! So if you are not bying sets for 6 months, but still post or lurk on EB and other Lego related forums, thats absolutly NOT a dark age but, its just that your interest is not as strong as before ;-) And that is different IMO. *yoda*
