Guys, several days ago, the Tour Auto 2007 left from Paris like each year !! However this year they did not leave from Trocadero but from the Grand Palais The tour comprises really classic cars !! Since I am a true fan of those babies, I will post some of the beauties classified by country in this thread and the rest can be seen in my gallery here (when moderated) !! Here is a pic of the "coupole" of the Grand Palais !! A true thing of beauty since its restauration. France Lets start with a row of Alpine 110 (1900ccs), then with the classic Renault R12 Gordini and finally the classic 4cv Italy What to post in here ?? It was a real collection of Ferraris, Alfa Romeos and what have you !! So I will stick to the motherload of both brands !! Lets start with the Ferraris: the majestic 250 GTO, then 2 other 250 GTs Now the glorious Alfa Romeo Guiletta Sprint Veloce & Gulietta !! Germany There were so many Porsches 356 and 911s that it was hard to make the decision but here they are !! Followed by a true classic for BMW lovers: the 2002 Turbo !! United States The Tour Auto have a lot of classic american beauties !! And I'm really happy about it because I LOVE US cars !! I'll start with a Ford GT40 (for Sne !!), followed by a real Shelby Cobra (the classic AC Cobra and not the Bristol one !!) and to finish a classic Mustang GT350 !! Exactly !! We could also wish for Mace's JSF in purple !! I would love that one also *wub* Would be a great opportunity to reissue Mace for the ones who do not have him ;-) I really think that this JSF is by far the best looking ship of the PT !! So bring it on Lego !! *yoda*

Ok I laid down my votes so here they are !! Most creative: I voted for Athos because I love the fact he used a femal MF (and a "hot" one :-D ) and I like the poison dark side... Best Overall: Alex !! I really love his celtic druid doing all sorts of potion and what have you !! I also really like his story !! Best Workshop: I voted for Brickster (even though I consider that a host of a contest cannot participate in it :-| ). His cart was really the best workshop in terms of rendering and construction !! Yeay a fantastic set made by our house Negotiator !! First of all, it was such a great gesture, I shall keep it as is as is to remember how great that event was (G I am so behind my pics and posts regarding the event !! I shall do that this week end loool) Also, for a first vig, its fantastic !! That dark trans cone is great for cola bottles hehe and the ad on of the chocolate bar was nice !! Having said that ( :-P ) you should have done what we do in the event with cadavers of bottles on the floor, a bottle of Rhum, and chips all around :-D But I really understand that need of a PG rating instead of the R rating :-D !! And *y* *y* for that magnificent micro sandcrawler 8-

I really love the 3 colours of these JSFs *wub* I think we really can hope for the ultimate JSF, the glorious Sith Starfighter: I think its more than probable since it would not cost a lot for TLC to produce it (no new molds at all). Also, bear in mind that TLC ventured into the EU this year so there is hope for that black JSF !! *yoda*

Just saw Spidey 3 yesterday and I really was SO disappointed by it |-/ Seriously, it suffers from the same problems as ROTS: way too much of the love story between MJ and Peter (tks God, MJ is less irritating than Padme) !! Lets stay on the psyche of characters, its really overdone and seriously lacks some subtilities !! Especially the ending that really is BAD !! Also, since its so cheesy characters centered, it clearly shows that Tobey Can NOT act !! G he is terrible !! Like ROTS, the movie has way too many humourous scenes (especially when Peter is on Symbiote Mode On !!). A little bit is OK, but not to that extent !! Its bloody ridiculous !! Tks there are some fantastic CGIs (becoming of Sandman, all of Sandman scenes) and great fight scenes 8-

A real and true story about one of the terror of my Law School !! During exam times he was a real *beeeeep* !! Ah a good question !! For once you can swoosh all you want with it without having a "rubber incident" :-D Unlike the Tie Bomber :-P The only thing to be careful is when you put the NF on its stand: you see that there is a whole is the stand and the trigger mechanism of the canon is suppose to fit in there !! Do it gently and no problemos !! If no, there might be an "incident" hehe !! Swoosh On !! *yoda*

My Padawans, After that political debate last night, I was in a building and reviewing frenzy so here is that glorious Naboo Fighter (NF) � and accessorly that Vulture Droid (VD) review !! Since I never had the first MF Naboo version, I was really happy when I learned that TLC was going to have a new Naboo and I have to say TLC made a real great set !! So here we go !! 1/Instructions & MFs Nothing really to mention regarding the booklet (it also has the moron drawings !!). There is also that DSS !! (Dreaded Sticker Sheet).However the MFs are way more interesting !! * The NF pilot is really a cool fig: great torso (that could be used for WWI pilots IMO) and it has a �bonus� cap when the helmet is not on !! Some will be annoyed by the fact that the head used is a normal fleshie smilley but not me since I love that head and since that pilot is a normal troup guy. * Young Anie is a real �cute� fig with a nice torso and especially with great hair piece (I really love that colour that is present on the VD). Also look at them both together hehe * Yeay, another R2 !! (Do you feel the irony in here). No pics (G i wonder why :-P ). 2/The NF I love that ship and that version is really great !! The only thing I did not like (like always when DSS are included) is putting those darn stickers, especially that the yellow is not the same as the bricks :-| Next time use transparent sheet like with the VD !! That sticker is the only valuable one: The shape is really slim and really captures perfectly (or really next to perfect) of the actual NF. Here I have to say thgat pics are better than words so: The engines are nice. The only grip I would have is the the non use (like the UCS crapy model) of the trans blue part on the rear of the engine (Mod On !!). Unlike the JSF, the NF has 2 main playability aspects: * R2 can �slide off� (I don�t see the point but oh well...). The rear part where he stands goes down to �liberate� the little droid * Yeay another catapult under the ship !! On Kim�s scale ( X-D ), its a perfect set to swoosh in the nudes and a great set to chase cats (or others nuisance in an appartment :-D !!) 3/The Stand Its a really nice small added feature to the set !! I feared that it would fire the gun when displayed but no !! Its nice to notice that the NF is inclined in the front when put on the stand. The thing that I don�t get is the use of the diver sub gun on the ladder (actually who cares). 4/The VD Oh boy I really hate those stickers (Rant On !!). Anyway I have mixed feelings regarding the VD. The colour scheme is really great, way better than the first version. Sorry I have no first version for comparison pics (I have dismantled all of them !!). The use of that dark tan is amazing, its such a beautifull colour !! Design wise I am not a fan due to the use of those droid arms on the wings and on the head !!It makes the whome ship filmsy like hell !! Personnally I would have made that colour scheme with the design of the ep3 VD. Oh well, its not the major aspect of this set anyway hehe. Hereis the VD in his 3 positions: Another great PT set. G, I am becoming such a SW nerd !! I was only a OT fan but those new ep1 sets are a thing of beauty !! Arghhh darn you Lego !! That all for now folks, untill next time... *yoda*
