Sun LEGO Promotions General Discussion
RaincloudDustbin posted a topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
As UKers are aware, there is a new Sun promotion on the way. If rumours are true it will be February half-term which is a holiday as usual. After collecting the last 2 Promotions, and trading most of them off, I am definitely looking forwards to this one and hopefully it will include the new Iron Man polybag as that is the last Avenger I require suit wise. I imagine a list will appear soon so this thread is to keep up to date with the rumours and confirmation of this and any future Sun Promotions. -TT -

How about just the head? Not great but may work? -
Why can't everybody agree that it's LEGO??? The fact is that IT THE BRAND NAME. LEGO is not even a word (in English) it's a brand name so all you 'LEGOs' need to get over that and move on. Like Lego Crazy said, can we not respect TLG enough to call the product by the correct term? I'm getting bored of this, it's just the same names cropping up with people repeating the same data.

The body is sick but the head is a bit frog like. I respect your attention to detail and I know how long it takes to make these. -
Unfortunately, you cannot trust English. You can trust Maths and Science but in English, there are too many exceptions and contradictory rules plus Cornelius Murdock has already explained why you are wrong. Also, how can you say that the LEGO box is 'irrelevant'? How can it be when the discussion at hand is being overruled?! Please don't get in to the freedom of speech discussion... I think we can agree we've had enough stupid talk on that topic recently. Are you really going to take on most of EB on a pathetic and timeless argument which has already been officially answered? Finally, this is further pointless by the fact that you already said 'I don't use LEGOs on this forum but that's how it should be used'. If that was the case, there wouldn't be a problem. LEGO can't control you but it's their brand name so they can call it what they want to. If you started up a company and people called it by the wrong name, would you be happy? I think not.

LEGOs is not fine. LEGOs is wrong.Tht's my opinion. LEGO has repeatedly said not to call it LEGOs so this thread is pointless. Grammatically correct or not, anyone who refers to LEGO as LEGOs are deliberately disobeying the company so why don't we all just be nice loyal fans and collectors? After the last thread, EB as a majority decided that the correct term is LEGO spelt singularly and all in Caps. Plus, it's not just based on locality as I'm a Brit and have got increasingly irritated as LEGO store employees call it LEGOs. Sorry if that came across angry as it was not. As always, it's my opinion and it's not my place to directly tell others not to do something so it doesn't bother me if you call it that but LEGO have asked us all not to and I feel we should respect that.
