Where does this winning train tag go? Is it what is above or below the avatar pic?

I love it! The full-sized Thomas comes to my town for two weekends every summer, so I'd love to have this one!

I agree. Those were my three faves. Not to take away from anyone else that entered. They were all great and creative! As soon as I receive my missing pieces (hopefully this week), I will complete my Maersk! Too bad it is too late to enter the contest!

I love the Mini Maersk. How about a parts list for it please?

Wow, love this! Especially instructions to build train cars! I am new to LEGO trains and customizing sets. Other than as a kid, I have only built actual sets. I really wanna build a few train cars to add to my new Maersk (yes, I know the style may not match). -
I like it. My Dad's a retired mailman. I am surprised I haven't seen a US mailtruck before.

Well, I struck out at the LEGO store. They won't sell individual bricks. They will sell a cup of bricks for $8 but I did not see that brick available. I was hoping to have it completed today. Guess I will order the replacements from LEGO and sit and wait.

Yep, that layout worked great! Thanks! Now just need more track to make a real layout!
-
Back in November we were heading into Chicago and there was an engine on the tracks fully engulfed in flames along the Dan Ryan.
-
The pieces I am missing are from step 8 on page 62 of instruction book 1 and step 2 on page 63 of instruction book 1. Looks like those pieces need to be 6 long to span across a space as opposed to being filler in the middle somewhere.

I will give that a try tomorrow. I haven't opened my track yet. I just built my Maersk tonight. Thanks!

What can I do with only 24 curved track pieces? I know it takes 16 to make a circle. Can 24 make anything usable? Or will I just have a few extras until I get more track? Thanks!

I'd love to join in, but... It's 2:30am and I just finished building my Maersk (also my first LEGO train). I was shorted (2) 1x6 plates so I cannot complete the second wheel assembly on my engine. So, I can't post anything creative. I suppose if I had a little LEGO concrete block, I could put it on blocks in the front yard like a redneck Camaro!
-
Not so fun when you get to the final wheel assembly on the engine and find out you are missing (2) 1x6 plates. :( When my PF components arrive next week, will I even need the second wheel assembly? But yes, the truck is great! And the cargo containers look good too!

Well, I just finished assembling my Maersk Train. I am missing (2) 1x6 plates that go in the wheel assembly so my engine is not usable. I might be able to stop by a Lego store tomorrow. Do they even stock that piece in the pick-a-brick area? I have never bought bricks. My PF stuff gets here next week, so won't that replace one of the wheel assemblies anyway?

I am assembling mine right now! Gonna be a long night!

Nice job! I love it!

I was able to get the mime body and disco dude body to make my Elvis minifigs (jailhouse rock & Vegas era) so I was thrilled with the selection!

That is great! Very nicely done!

MOC: Lego Indy Wrestling - Arena

I am not into wrestling, so I don't know the characters, but this is a great looking model! -
I am VERY new to LEGO trains (well, trains in general too). My Maersk, all the PF components, and 24 curved track pieces are on their way to my house as we speak. Will this software help be decide what is needed to layout the track pieces I have? Like with just 24 curved pieces, I don't think I can do anything but a 16-piece circle with 8 spare pieces. I am looking for something to tell me what else is needed to use the rest of the track. It would be cool to tell a program, website or person, what pieces I have and it to tell me what I can do with it! Does this or any other software tell me that?

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
markz68 replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I cannot start a new thread yet, so I hope I can post this here. I have decided to sell off all my Star Wars LEGO sets (many still NIB). Is there a price guide to help determine value? The http://www.legopriceguide.com seems to be out of date. How can I find out the original MSRP? Where is the best place to sell them? Ebay? Amazon? Here? Somewhere else? I know there are flea markets that have LEGO booths. If I have to, I will take them there and see what I can get. I really wanna start collecting LEGO trains instead of Star Wars. More usable and easier to display. -
Thanks for the thread. I just joined the forum last night and ordered the Maersk as my first LEGO train!
-
I just ordered this as my first LEGO train yesterday! I also ordered all the PF components and some track to make it a working set. I can't wait to get started on it! Thanks for the great review that helped me make up my mind!

I just ordered my first Lego train last night. I read some threads, talked to some people, created a cost-analysis spreadsheet, and decided on the Maersk, the PF components, and some track. I just didn't really like the looks of the other trains to buy instead of the Maersk. I tried seeing what it would cost (my spreadsheet) to buy the yellow or red cargo trains or the passenger train to get the track & PF components, and then buying the Maersk engine seperatly, but couldn't make it work either. What got me hooked was seeing the LEGO Maersk in person setup at a flea market last weekend in Cincinnati. It was beautiful! Plus the engine looks very similar to one I see almost every day on my way home from work. Here's the real local train: http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=200853&nseq=5
