  1. I like the skyroof and numbered tiles for your fire station! :-) And oh, maybe it would look less 'blocky' if you add some small windows to your post-office building. I hope there's nothing secret going on in there except sorting out Bricklink parcels and other assorted mails ;-)
  2. A rhetorical question, indeed. *sweet* Still, I would say that both of us enjoy equal play-time with our bricks. Right now, we're about halfway through making our Centraal Station, and Junior is helping with the interior decor, eg. rail office, pizza joint, putting all the finer details ;-) etc An interesting observation about what Lego can do to a five-year old kid ( and he didn't scour a manual to create the following below ): Kinda quirky, but not too bad, don't you think? :-)
  3. Can't wait for them to arrive - 20 red bicycles from Bricklink! *sweet*
  4. Funny, but it's not people that I'm scrutinizing nowadays. I have, on a number of occasions, found myself staring at external facades of buildings, and internally visualizing what type of brick fits that interesting part best. I've got to remind myself, though, never to stand at the bus bay when I'm admiring Centraal Station. :-$
  5. Yup. I did just that. Call Lego directly. They told me they'll send in one soon, but the yellow bricks proved too irresistable to be left alone at the whims of an incoming mail. Thanks again! :-D
  6. 'Indyj19' and 'Sinner' - you both are God-sent!!! I was right about EB!!!!!! You guys made my day!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! :-D :-D :-D EB's the Only One for Me. Period.
  7. Thank you, O My (Brick)master. Will do. *sweet*
  8. [ Maybe you should introduce yourself in the 'Hello, my name is..' forums, aswell? :-$ Whoops....my bad. Done! :-$ Jai
  9. Name: Danish Jai Gender: Male DOB: (24/03/1974) Martial Status: Married, with a five-year son ( who, curiously, is eyeing the 10181 Eiffel Tower box even as we speak ) Profession/Job: Lecturer Industry: Tertiary Level Education Hobbies/Interests: Tightening the Lego bricks of my son's works, or else the whole universe will crumble. Current collection: Not much, just starting out - but the study's room a steady dump of brick ammo. Do I "BUY/SELL/TRADE?": Currently depleting the Savings Account and translating them into plastic bricks of all colours. Eurobrick's the best! :-)
  10. Hi everyone. This is my first post on Eurobricks, and what a way to begin. I started taking an interest in Lego (again) sometime only late last year, and Lego City was my favourite. I had a few castle sets when I was a kid, but sadly, they didn't came along (for reasons unknown to me) when we moved houses over the years. I bet the garbage collector got a very nice surprise when he opened up some BIG cardboard boxes way back in November 1988. Urgh. Anyway. On the last day of 2007, I picked up a box of Aquaraiders 7774 during the post X-mas sale at the local Lego shop downtown. Two reasons why I did so: (1) It was 40% off retail price, and (2) there was a nice yellow submarine which I had an idea of it being transported on the back of my 7900 truck in my would-be city. The yellow of both vehicles will complement themselves nicely. Anyhow, when I opened up the box at home to begin 'raiding' the bricks, The instruction booklet cover (above) looked tantalising enough. Okay, let's opened it up. Sidenote : Well I don't know about other people's building styles, but I don't flip through ALL the pages of those booklets when I start. When it comes to those instruction manuals, yours truly went on mechanical mode immediately and begin on Page 2. Bad mistake. Because, when I was on page 31... ...THERE WAS NO PAGE 31! And pages 32 to 46 as well. 17 pages of missing instructions!!! It appears to be a genuine error in production. Notice how the firm stapled inprints did not suggest some weird Lego employer bent on reinventing half-completed yellow submarines around the world. Another horrifying image of brick-brain deadness (below) : I've called the store on numerous occasions, who told me they'll get back to me when the Local Lego Company gets back to them - you get the drift - and I've scour all possible online manuals from Brickset to Lugnet - but to no avail. A good friend suggested Eurobricks. To cut to the end, here's my plea : "Would anyone out there be kind enough to scan pages 31 to 46 from the 7774 Instructions? I will forever be submersed in your oceanic kindness". (well it does sound corny alright, but at least I tried). Many thanks for reading this. Like I said, what a way to introduce myself. :-$ Regards, Jai
