Indeed so, I'd prefer to have brick-build treads, instead of those rubber ones.... ) Still, we can't complain, since LEGO has already given us plenty of variants for wheels, treads and other things to make our MOCs move! Good day, gentlemen! )
-
I shall! ) Just like my character from Batman: "a legitimate businessman and Gotham's most reliable informator". ))))) Sorry for offtopic. )
-
Oh, my! ) Pardon me, KimT! ) I failed to read your post correctly. ) I totally agree with you, that seems to be the most probable way. ) I shall look closer at it, if I'll have the chance to get the catalogue again. )
-
You are welcome. ) Well, I don't know.... ) But there was definitely written something like that.... Don't remember exactly. by it's scale I suppose it can be compared to Cloud City set, was it an exclusive one? ) Good day, gentlemen! )
-
If you pardon me for giving you an advice, but I suggest you should use Bricklink. ) It's the cheapest and most effective way of getting battle droids. Believe me, I know. ) My battle droid army (I won't say how many I have, or I risk to be attacked like that kid had been! ) is formed mostly from my BrickLink orders.... ) Good day, gentlemen! )
-
Now, gentlemen.... I wouldn't go harsh on that kid. It's normal in his age to behave like this and there should be nothing insulting here.... He does have a big army, so what's the problem here? SW may be his only favourite theme, so he puts all his pocket money in it, for example. What's so bad about it? And I guess that collecting an army is also a form of being LEGO fan, isn't it? We don't know, maybe he's a talented MOCer, and he will use all his figs for a big diorama one day? ) I guess we all should be more indulgent, gentlemen! )
-
I can give you small hints about each of the coming sets.... ) 1) Chariot. Will include a golden chest. ) 2) Drawbridge. Golden Warrior, Queen, jester, and 2 undead warriors. One on the horse in a cape, and scythe.... ) 3) Troll Fortress. 2 huge trolls with printed markings on their forehead, on the wals lots of "water-plants". ) Has a wich, a king (in regular crown helmet, though I think it's preliminary). If, I'm not mistaken, has a captured king, but not sure here.... ) Good day, gentlemen! )

Thank you very much, milady! ) Trully an honor. ) I hope, you'll also like my upcoming MOCs. ) Thank you very much, Tim Bit! ) I am planning quite a considerable dwarven MOC now, so I'll try my best to make it good enough for your attention, ladies and gentlemen! ) Sorry, never heard of that. ) What's that, a book? ) Thank you, I'm glad that you like it! ) Nice quotation! ) Indeed my dwarves have modernized and now bring death to every troll intruder! ) Thank you, Motti! ) So, I hope that you like my other dwarven creations and will like the upcoming! ) Honored. Trully honored. ) You are welcome. ) Hmm, I guess I need to make the photo of all of them together one day. ) Thank you for your advice. ) As for Hailfire droid, I have used it's treads in my Mine Crawler (the link to it you can see in the firast post. ) And indeed i find it quite acceptable. ) As for, Battank tread.... Well, gentlemen, my vision of dwarves is based on the idea that most of them live in big mountain citadels, where such great scales will not be effective. To drive in tunnels dwarves need vehicles that small, sturdy and compact (just like the dwarves themselves! ). Second, my dwarves do not build war machine. if you look at my MOCs they all are peaceful, and only may be upgrated in times of war. That's my position based on princip. ) And well, when I see MOCs where dwarves make HUGE machines (for example with that type of tread) it seems to me that such dwarves are just compensating some of their complexes! )))) Though my dwarves are quite proud of themselves! ) Thank you very much, ladies and gentlemen! )

He's back. ) Along with his new Castle dwarven vehicle - Oil Truck. ) You may remember, gentlemen, Burorin's Oil Tanker. Here's a pic: But how will dwarves transport their oil from the port? ) That's the question Chief Engineer Burorin asked himself, and here's the answer! ) Burorin's Oil Truck views: Letter "B" is for Burorin, of course! )))) Still, in times of war, that vehicle can become a formidable weapon! ) Comments, ladies and gentlemen? ) P.S. To remind you of other Burorin' creations, here's a list: 1) Dwarven Balloon: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=299990 2) Mine Crawler: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=300375 3) Oil Tanker: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=308680 4) Luminum Mechanical Spider: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=302683

Yes, noe ewoks are two-colored. ) Brown cape and tan face. That's for one on the speeder. The second may have inverted colors, but I'm not sure here.... ) 1) no, he was not included. ) 2) Simple troopers with old space oxygen tanks on their backs. But I assure you that Tank Droid is obviously a preliminary set and we'll see some great modifications! ) TLC won't let us down! ) 1) yes, black helmet. ) 2) Space-type jet-packs. ) 3) Yes, and I must say Indy is great! )))) (But that's another story.... ) Very much alike. They did a great job with droids "eyes' and it lookes much sturdier and better than the previous one. the only thing that bothers me is plain dark gray color and the fact that it seems to be a bit short. Otherwise.... Well, it's going to be a bang, if TLC improves it a bit.... ) Gentlemen, thank you for your attention! ) I'm trully pleased that I can be of some assistance to you all. ) I shall try to answer all your questions.... ) If I miss something, please don't be cross, just remind me. ) Good day, gentlemen! )
-
Absolutely. ) And it looks awesome, believe me. )
-
No, there was no cruiser there.... ) I'm afraid it's not legal, is it? ) I'll se what I can do. )
-
2Darth Legolas Oh, I forgot about it. ) Indeed, it was there. ) But it seemed just like the rebel one. Nothing special. ) The Venator picture is quite small there, so I couldn't study it carefully. It seems to be smaller than ISD, I'm afraid.... Clones on venator seem to be generic. No special markings on them. No commanders. The Endor set does include rebel soldiers, though I don't remember if those are heroes or just some rebels. ) No, I didn't see the pirate tank. Hmmm, I'll check it.... Gentlemen, if the person who showed me the catalog will be kind enough to give me it once again, I shall be able to answer all your questions! )
-
2legokuate Sorry, don't remember. ) I'll try to find it out about the set. ) 2Darth Legolas No. There were no droids. ) Though I might have not noticed thae, I was carefully studing the way "the eyes" were made.... ) 2roxio No. There might have been Chewy there.... But I looked t the set carefully, no officers, no AT-ST pilots.... 2JimButcher It is a snail tank. ) I hope that I've managed to answer all your questions, gentlemen! ) Please, feel free to ask more.... I'll try to answer them. And have a look at the catalogue once again. )
-
Well, gentlemen! ) Today i managed to have a look at the new Trade Catalogue of 2009! ) So, what can I say? ) The sets are awesome! ) Separatist Shuttle. A classic neimoidian shuttle in gray and blue. Comes with 3 BD, nute Gunray and that guy with Greedo's face from the CW serial. The ruler of that planet.... ) Can't remember the name now. Venator. Indeed, only 5 minis. Palpatine, 2 senate commandos and two clones. Tank Droid. All dark gray, with 2 jet troopers. Looks to small and short.... hm, hope it'll be revised.... Endor. The bunker. Smaller version of AT-ST (looks awesome!). 2 ewoks, 2 scout troopers, Han, Leia, death Star trooper. Will be a limited edition, exclusive set. Any questions, while I still remember? )

First of all, I would like to thank you for your review of this great set, millacol88. ) But there are still some points upon which I'm afraid I cannot agree: Design: I cannot agree here.... ) It does look like Vulture Droid, but in my opinion it's much better, well-designed and sturdy-looking Droid. ) It has great colors, menacing look and indeed is symbolising the might of the CIS. ) Build: Well, again, can't agree here.... ) The set is fun to build, stickers were not a problem to me and the idea with those black "sticks" seems quite good to me. ) Playability: Well, here I agree more or less. ) But what other features does a bomber need? ) I guess that nice launcing device it enough, isn't it? ) Minifigures: Well, and that is the set's greatest advantage. Despite the fact that those droids only have different colours, they themselves look simply stunning! ) And they always may be used for MODs, such as droid commando, for example. ) Price: Totally agree. ) Thank you for your attention! ) And thanks again, millacol88! )

I've just compared the droids and dwarves that piece. ) I must say they are quite similar, but, in my opinion, the droids are a bit darker. ) Good day, gentlemen! )
-
According to S. Freud my incorrect spelling of her name comes from my disapprovement of the chareacter itself. ) As for Banking Clan ship.... It'd have been really nice, but I still want to see Lucrehulk-Class Station. ) It may not be much of an assault ship, but it sure may be interesting.... )
-
Well, I guess we can't judge the minifig by its look in the cartoon, can we? ) Dooku also doesn't seem to be quite the same here, and in the set. )
-
Well, gentlemen, after seeing Ashoka's Starfighter an idea came to me.... I guess it could be really nice if TLC coul make, say "space battlepacks". Say a set with 2 vulture droids, a tri-droid fighter and 2 buzz-droids.... ) On the contrary, for Republic fans it could do something like that (not quite sure what vehicles could be included, because i'm not a Republican fan at all.) And the second idea: to make some non-Republic and non-CIS ground forces.... Say, it could be trandotian mercs vs, say wookies.... ) I know it's higly impossible, but still.... ) What do you think, gentlemen? )
-
Hmm, it seems that Dooku has new hairpiece! )
-
Great review, thank you! ) Still, there's one point where I can't agree with you, unfortunately.... ) I hate it that they did not put stickers in this set.... No, really, I'm quite sane. I just mean that I want those nice CIS insignias which were shown on the preliminary pics! That would have been awesome to get them for my CIS MOCs.... I guess, it's just TLC being cheap.... Good day, gentlemen! )

The Batwing vs Gotham SWAT Gunship (MOCs)
The Penguin replied to Righteous Squid's topic in LEGO Licensed
Very interesting, and well done, Righteous Squid! ) The fighting scene is great. Though I don't really like sci-fic things in Batman, but that one is really great! ) Good day, gentlemen! ) -
After quite a while, ladies and gentlemen, I've finally managed to make photos of my latest so far MOCs and MODs.... Hope you will like them! ) Joker with his new goons: "Like my new gloves, boys?" "Yes, boss!" (That jester minifigs are really useful for Joker's goons, aren't they?) "Let's start with the BANG then!!!!!" Comissioner Gordon with glasses. (I tried to give him the same square glasses, he had in the game....) Montoya. (I wanded to give her a more manly look, knowing her background.... ) Some generic Gotham gangsters. Arkham guards.(Nothing spicial here, just they are looking good, in my opinion, with that hair....) And now.... Ta-dam! The Penguin's limmo! ) All credit goes to a very dear friend of mine Dr.Kurpatov, who created that awesome model for me.... ) I hope you will like it too! ) "Chics like the car" © I couldn't resist posting these pictures: Thank you for your time. ) Comments are welcome as usual, ladies and gentlemen! )

That's completely awful! How could they have closed such a great theme after such a great computer game! We have no Gordon, no Batgirl, no new villains, no scenes.... That's totally.... can't find a word for that.... We got LEGO BATMAN, DC vs Mortal combat, we are expecting Arkham Asylum and DC on-line.... TLC what on earth is your marketing department doing! That's such a great opportunity and you fail to see it! That indeed is disturbing.... Well, I guess, we fans will have to pick up what other themes give us.... But as Brainbox has correctly said, TLC had discontinued most good-for-batman themes.... No HP heads, no normal SW heads, no nice City vehicles.... Good day, gentlemen! )
