  1. Are you kidding me...Incredible.
  2. You make good points. For the record, I do intend to buy the set at some point, probably through sourcing pieces from Bricklink. I just cannot afford it right now with a college student's income!
  3. I can see you are the type to really nit pick anything I type =P. By Comparable I mean it's MSRP on release compared to other sets like the 10221 and 10030 sets. Anyways I've said my piece...it's an awesome set that I would love to own. I just wish it didn't currently cost 2-3x what it originally did.
  4. Reasonable as in similarly priced to comparable sets.
  5. Interesting, thanks for the insight Warmaster and congrats on your new baby.
  6. Actually my main point is it's a shame that such an amazing and collectible set is no longer available for a reasonable price. I'm more lamenting that fact than anything.
  7. Awesome Warmaster! I'm also collecting pieces to put mine together, I just asked in the post above, but can you tell me how much it cost you roughly? I'm trying to budget for mine haha.
  8. But that is neither here nor there, "was" "was" "was" has nothing to do with today's price of $1,000+. This thread is about the falcon's current pricing, not what is 'was" during a 2 year window. I agree wholeheartedly that the original pricing was excellent.
  9. ^ perfect example right there. He just missed out due to timing reasons.
  10. I think 700$ would be more reasonable than the current rate by far. What's bothering me with this thread is the undercurrent from some posts where people seem to feel entitled to having a reasonably priced Falcon set, while those that missed out should be "punished" in some form for not getting it in the 2.5 year window. Why not just re-release a set as popular as this if the demand is available. For the people arguing semantics over how long the set was release and weird things like that, what is your angle? What are you achieving by making those who couldn't afford the set or missed out for other reasons feel bad about it?
  11. So you're arguing that it should be priced at $1,000+? I don't understand that argument. Many people have recently rediscovered their love of lego. I guess it comes down to whether people think collector means limited edition, or whether it means a collectible item.
  12. Incredible! I can only imagine how many concepts you went through before the final product.
  13. Is there a place on the forum where I can see what all the icons and titles mean?
  14. This is just fantastic! I (like everyone else) would love to see more of your Star Trek MOCs.
  15. Im such a failure at LDD compared to you haha, can't wait to see the finished product.
  16. ^ Bravo, We all have enough passion to spend our time on a lego forum, yet many of us missed out on the small release window of one of the best ever lego sets. We shouldn't be punished and have to charge 3x what it was originally priced.
  17. my problem is that they are taking over the focus of TLG and are seemingly becoming more important than the sets themselves.
  18. Ah! ok I eagerly await them!
  19. What was the final cost of all the parts if you don't mind me asking?
  20. First off, these are truly wonderful. I must be doing something wrong, but when I click the Victory Star Destroyer link it is the only one without build instructions. Could you direct me to where I can find it?
  21. I know you can't give me an exact answer, but would you be able to guess how much it would cost to build Anio's MOC by sourcing parts?
