That´s a nice building on it´s way! Like that you share your thought´s and experiences. Are you sure that the pieces are dirty or is it just the old light gray we see? I´m also a huge Game of Thrones fan and think it would be great with more mocs from the series.

The feel of narrow alleys is great and I like the day to day life taking place.

It´s great to see works in progress like this, to get a feel how it developes. Look´s promising!

Brings back nice memories, had the whole series as a kid and enjoyed them very much. I think you have made great additions that would have fitted well in the long castle walls I´m sure many of us put together. Thank´s for inspiration and memories!

A really neat scene with wonderful details, well done! I very much like the grey wedge plates, gives the moc a nice, natural frame.

Very inspiring! Specially like the walltexture on groundfloor. The cart is as mentioned also great. -
Again thank´s for your comments! I´ve now updated the first post with more pictures of the growing (if somewhat very slovly) project.

I would love to add these sets to my castle collection, they seem to be a great line. They seldom come to sale in Sweden so maybe I have to try E-bay.

Review: 6081 King's Mountain Fortress
Jesperallen replied to metalandi's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I like this set, never had it as a kid as I had become "to old" by then. Now when I´ve become old enough I had the luck to be able to buy it quite cheap with box and all. I like to see it as small retreat, not as a castle. The feeling of it I think is great but some of the walls are too low and there are arch´s in walls that create annoying openings that render the gates useless. Looking back I would loved it as a kid. -

That is a great roof! You´ve managed to give the moc the right atmosphere. -
This is all wonderful! The roofs are great and its nice to see a moc where all elaborate details fits this well.

Thank you all for your nice comments! It´s great to recieve constructive feedback, we all want to improve. I thank you and will have this in mind for the rest of the project. This is one of the things I find difficult managing such a large project, you improve your building all the time and look back wanting to change things already built. Sometimes it´s small details but I´ve also come to tear down whole walls or towers.

I also thought it to be a Game of Thrones moc. It´s a beatiful build, love the round base and the patch of ice in the snow.
-
Great build! Like the siegeengines a lot and love that you´ve made a real wall in height and with some thickness.

It´s a nice little scene. Like those stairs a lot.

Hi In thia post I will share my ongoing castle project "Seawatch" Seawatch will be built in what I feel is minifig scale, covering about 20 48x48 plates and be surrounded by a diorama about the same size. All floors and areas in the castle will be axessable. I´ll edit this first post and put new contents at the top. SeaGate Tower The SeaGate leads down to the harbour and is guarded by a heavy fortificated tower. The tower has two levels and features two double gates and a massive portcullis maneuvred from the second level. The tower is fully modular and axessable light the rest of the castle. Multiple arrowslits and murderholes ensures full control of those seeking to enter the middle curtain. Wiew of SeaGate tower and HarbourKeep by Jesperallen, on Flickr Roof on SeaGate Tower by Jesperallen, on Flickr Angled wall by Jesperallen, on Flickr A wiew through SeaGate by Jesperallen, on Flickr Path down to SeaGate by Jesperallen, on Flickr Roof on SeaGate Tower by Jesperallen, on Flickr Path up to SeaGate by Jesperallen, on Flickr HarbourKeep Harbourkeep houses the castles garrison and gives a good wiew and control over both the inner and outer curtain and over the harbour. All floors can be removed and all areas are acessable for discovery and play.Have no interior pictures yet as lack of bricks prevented me from finish it. A stairtower with spiral staircase takes you up to the stunning wiew of the little bay and the fotifications of Castle Seawatch. Harbourkeep towers over the harbour Wiew from outer curtain. Walking thw walls A stairtower leads up to upper floors Top of the stairtower Spiral staircase goes all the way up in the stairtower. Roof of slate Seagate and seawall This is Seawall, protects the harbour from the powers of the sea. This low tower will house a ballista to guard the entrance to the harbour. The water is now trans dark tiles on black plates. Small gatehouse, "Seagate", leads to the harbour. Battlements overlooking the harbour. Overlook of Chaintower and Seagate Walkway to upper parts of Seawatch The portcullis can be lovered into holes for reinforcement. I plan to try to motorize funtions like portcullises and drawbridges. Chaintower This is the first almost finished piece "Chaintower". Chaintower is guarding the harbour, a chain can be raised to block the entrance to the harbour.

That´s an awesome well done temple! Specially love the roof.
-
Great treehouses, feel like they belong there, not just placed there. The dense and deep feeling of the forest is remarkable to achive with just a few trees like that.
-
The posing of the figs is great! Love the patterns all over the place and the feel of time taking it´s toll.
-
That´s a nice scene! Like the smoke and the well.
-
This is really great! Love the icy, cold feeling of it all and the hardpacked ground. And what a dragon!
-
This is a very beatiful and inspiring build! The way the hoofs are attached to the legs is genius, these kind of solutions always amazes me.

This is a great build, that amount of detail at that scale! The cathedral is astounding!
