LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 10 Discussion
Holmes replied to CM4Sci's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Someone who worked in the Lego store told me the 1st April too but she didn't seem very reliable, I'm going to pop down tomorrow to have a look and if they are out I'll post it up here.- 1,076 replies

LEGO Collectible Minifigures Golden Minifigure Discussion
Holmes replied to TrumpetKing's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hmm I meant "true" collector as someone who likes to collect minifigs for fun and not financial gain. I have no problem with people buying these in an aftermarket as I've bought many of them this way. I'm sure it would be nice to be able to have the choice to pay silly money for a minifig but unfortunately I'm not lucky enough to do so and that's what I mean by being punished. It leaves collectors up to exploitation. I'm not in anyway gloating that I've been collecting these for a long time, I'm lamenting that I will probably never get one unless I pay stupid money.- 87 replies

LEGO Collectible Minifigures Golden Minifigure Discussion

Been discussing this with my boyfriend and we've decided that although I do love the idea of limited edition minifigs this just ends up hurting true collectors than helping them. I've been collecting these since series one and I'm a competitionist. I don't quite have all CMF but I have pretty much all the cool figs and am slowly completing the lot. It's a fun idea to have this super limited fig but unless I pay a ridiculous amount of money I will probably never complete my collection. They should at least put one in every box to give the real collectors a fighting chance of getting one. It is cool but I do feel a little bit punished for being a true collector.- 87 replies

Collectable Minifigure Sightings & Availability
Holmes replied to mo123567's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I rang the Lego store in Manchester Arndale (UK) today asking when they will be released and she said January 1st (and not before). They had series 8 a month before they were released in other shops but I'm hoping they will pop up in other shops just before Christmas. Thanks for starting this thread i'll be watching it like a hawk. -
I keep the current series out on display on a bookcase then when I start getting new ones I then retire those guys to the big licensed lego storage box shaped like a minifig head. I've got the smaller of the two availble so I've bought one of those big pink brick storage boxes and that's filling up nicely too now. I'm loving badbob001's and ruxy_100's solutions though, brilliant

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 9 Rumours & Discussion

Yeah I think in this case when they say "mermaid" they probably mean "mermaid". I think you are all just hoping TLG group read this forum and are giving them your wishlist. -

Yes! (just googled him) In a load of Hoth's artwork there was a minifig similar to that guy. But the more I think about it the fortune teller will probably be a classic gypsy fortune teller. -

I'm thinking the fortune teller might be based on a picture from Hoth's artwork someone posted on one of the forums on here ages ago. He was a guy in a turban with swirly eyes and was holding an envelope, kind of like a TV fortune teller/houdini lookalike (if someone knows what I'm talking about please post). I could be wrong I just remember seeing it and loving it about 6 months ago. If not I'd be happy with a gypsy fortune teller too. I'm so relieved that Dr. Splitz turned out to be a Jekyll and Hyde character and not the space monkey that pops up when googling the name. Great minifig -
This is incredible. Well done.

God I hope not. I'm a female lego fan and I hate the friends line. It's great for young girls and stuff but lets not dump all female characters part of that line. -
LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion

Yep I'm definitely a completionist collect them all kinda person. I can sort of understand army building but it's totally not for me. The man bats are definitely the best of this set though and if I was to army build it would be with them. -

Really helpful staff in the Manchester store helped me to get an Alien Queen, business man, actor, pirate captain and man bat. So far the actor is my favourite. Going to get them all eventually but I think it's a bit more fun to get them bit by bit. I bought them all at once before and it wasn't as satisfying as finding a few at a time. Does anyone else agree? -
