  1. Batpod is awesome!
  2. I recently enjoyed the LEGO Architecture exhibit at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC. Check it out if you're in the area.
  3. Awesome build. I especially like that it's developed around the classic blue/grey Batman instead of black. Thanks for sharing.
  4. redlines forever

  5. I bought two there last month. Pointed them out to a disappointed father/son team who had just price checked the $50 Batjet; they were excited to find an affordable Batman. Later gave one of my two sets to a kid I know (he was thrilled). I left the bin filled with sets for others to enjoy. This Batman looks great next to my blue version from the Catcycle set.
  6. Thanks for the review! Now get busy applying those stickers; they'll make a huge difference. Use an X-Acto knife to hold the sticker just above the surface for positioning then press it down. Nice set at a good price point. Might get it just so Catwoman can drag race Cap.
  7. I really don't understand what TRU is doing with Batman prices. The Catwoman set was $19.99! I paid $12.99 at the LEGO store and it's $11.99 at Target.
  8. Got my set today also at TRU. Considering mini-figs are $3.99 I consider the set to be somewhat of a bargain. Plus it was the least expensive way for me to get the "black" mini-fig since I already have the "blue" one from the Catwoman set. Just as I approached the price scanner to ensure it was $4.99 there was a father and son scanning the Batjet set. Father says, "It's fifty dollars". Kid looks disappointed. So I said, "look this set is only five bucks". They were both happy campers as I showed them where to find them.
  9. Very thorough and entertaining review. I'm not into mechs so I'll wait for the invisible jet to appear on the shelves.
  10. Mattel currently has licensed the George Barris' 60s TV Batmobile and others for their Hot Wheels line. I'd like to have a 60s style Batmobile to go with my blue/gray Batman. Thanks for the great review. I like the reviewed Batmobile and hope it is available in a smaller set in the future.
  11. Love it. I see computers on the left and iPods on the right.
  12. Hellooooo kitty. Nice!
  13. Just thought I'd try posting this again in different resolution. I liked the ominous look of the bat outline.
  14. My Batman from the Catwoman City Chase is on top of my computer monitor.
  15. Tough subject. I would never have ID'd your build as a Cougar. My neighbor has a '68 Cougar in the driveway. Sweet looking car but nothing standout distinctive the tooth grille which the '69 downplayed. The '69 added the swooping side body character line. I like your grille and it looks like it has gaps for hidden headlights. Maybe you can build out the center portion like the 1:1. Colorful racing stripes that help define the hood but would prefer if they didn't extend over the vinyl top (another nice touch). How about a convertible next?
  16. Tough call. I like the car and camper as far as the vehicles themselves. Just wish the set had more play accessories. How about a mountain bike or two? Or the family pet? Kids?
  17. Well done review. I bought the set a couple of weeks ago and it's my first set in many years. Simple but fun build. Lovely set but really wish Batman came with a cape in addition to the cool wings.
  18. Jaw-dropping work. If LEGO made them I would buy them. I'm a huge fan of Art Deco/Moderne and you serve them well. I wasn't aware of the Town Center cinema but yours is far superior. Truly awesome. Thanks for sharing.
  19. Thanks to the OP and yours, too. Clearly lots of thought goes into designing these figures. LEGO could have simply reused the original designs.
  20. Excellent review. If my daughters were still kids this set would be under construction in our house. The Friends sets come at in interesting time as I just recently bought the Large Pink Brick Box for my 10 year old niece. Had these sets existed I probably would have bought one instead. Though I still like the idea of more basic creative brick play.
  21. Nice! Thanks!! Not sure how to print "full size" though. Found some nice repros on ebay for a reasonable price.
  22. Thanks for the review. I was seriously considering this set as I am fan of row buildings. But I'm a beginner; is this a good place to start?
  23. Love it!
  24. I have the blue/gray Batman from the 6858 Catwoman set. He looks great with the wings but I'd like him to have a cape, too. Is there a template available so I can make one? So far I've only found one without the scalloped edge.
  25. Nice pics. Good review. I bought the set at the LEGO store but haven't built it yet. I've seen the crates used by others to pose the cycle with its front wheel raised. My only wish is that Batman had also come with a cape.
