Thanks lifeinplastic. You can drop your minifigures suggestions in details in this topic. Maybe some of our other members may have also made similar suggestions. It's the same. I am pretty certain of it. Yes! -

The laptop is closed. If it's opened, I can imagine the laptop most likely to be spilt into halves. -

REVIEW: 8831 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 7
WhiteFang replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks guys! I just can't recall it for sure. It ought to be same but seeing the same parts like the S1, Zombie's drumstick, or the raygun's laser beam, make me wonder if they are really the same. I share the same sentiments. Thanks Omicron. I don't have a Jawa in my collection. Thus, I didn't notice that there is such a short robe existed before. I believe it is Mf and it meant 'Minifigure' in cursive writing. -
REVIEW: 8831 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 7

Orge, I shared the same thoughts. Previously, I thought I knew what minifigures to get when I first saw the image but after I gotten the box and started with the assembling. I realised there are so much incredible small details that will certainly 'wow' the CMF fans! I was extremely impressed and pleased with it. It could be because the Aztec are probably stacking lots of gold in their temples. Still, there are other alternate spears which I had pointed out for a good substitute. -
REVIEW: 8831 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 7
WhiteFang replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
You are right to say the Series 6 'actually' got that honour because I was staring at the Surgeon very hard and I didn't really classified her as a female minifigure back then until the eyelashes which is why I now included her into the group picture later on. Won't the Galaxy Patrol Classic Space insignia motivates you a little to get it? I got a feeling you might be a little disappointed with the Aztec Warrior. I wasn't too pleased to see it in pearl gold which made me less crazy about this guy. Initially, that was my favourite minifigure in the Series 7 polls but I withdraw and choose the Galaxy Patrol minifigure instead. -

No promise but I will try my best to see if I can come up with anything. I am preparing to go for overseas soon, so I might run a little short of time. If you meant the bunny minifigure, then look carefully and hove around for links. I will tend to think that the skirt torso and the headpiece make up 'most' of the costing? Still, the Valkyrie is an impressive minifig. -

Thanks guys for your comments! I think you can but I didn't try it. I will think it will be around that period. I can't know for sure. If you count the Aztec spear tip, then I don't think there are others in that category. I am pretty confident of it. -
I am getting a little worried and I wonder if it is the new Series 7 review, is overloading with unexpected traffic?

REVIEW: 8831 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 7
WhiteFang replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you very much. I have been reading your thoughts and it is truly encouraging to see many positive notes on this upcoming incredible series which many of us are now fond of. It is challenging to bring all of the past reviews and minifigures together and it was easy feat. So, your comments and thoughts are truly appreciative on my end. As for ones who asked for the dates of the official releases based on your regions, I do not have those with me, but I am inclined to think with effect of 1st April 2012, you might watch out for some releases here and there and as in Singapore's case, it is likely to be in May 2012. So, take that as a rough gauge. Likely to see US and Europe regions being the first few areas to have the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 7 and I am actually still hunting for my Series 6 and it is still not enough. Thank you darkdragon! I am glad you enjoyed the new photos! I am sure it will be quite fitting. The new Valkyrie hairpiece is very impressive. I agreed that the new Galaxy Patrol's head is much fitting for Starcraft (Terran), Jim Raynor. Don't lag behind! I do understand how tiring it can be especially with many close releases. It was just only 3 months ago since I had done the Series 6 review. Thank you Itaria No Shintaku. I am glad this review had made your day especially when I noticed your questions and anticipation in the EB Series 7 discussion. I hope this review had solved many of it and least you could sit back and wait for the official releases. Nope. There is no back-printing. I will normally highlight any of the new minifigs' torsos especially if there is a new back-printing. I like the new swimmer too. After seeing the actual real one, I no longer dislike it. There are many impressive small details in this series. Thanks for highlighting it here. I didn't notice Lloyd's black robe too. Actually I forget he is with the short legs. So, is Barris. I didn't know that was in this version as well. I didn't notice the new parts from the Friends theme. I ought to take a look at the parts in details. Thanks for letting me know. NO, the Space Marine visor does not allow to fit on a standard visor. I will try to see if I can the picture of that. No promises. I repeat myself again. NO, this helmet is brand new piece and it is not the same as the one mentioned above. It is completely new! From TLG. I am looking forward to see you picking those up and modify it into your Batman characters! Thank you for your kind words! -

It will be. I wanted to answer this earlier but I can't and my review will answer your question. I believe TLG had heard our concerns. Take a look at the distributions to understand why. -

REVIEW: 7976 Ocean Speeder
WhiteFang replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I agreed that this speeder is better than the first one. In fact, I am pretty pleased to get it, mainly for the new diver. I am glad I got a chance to own one for different variations. Get it if you have the chance to do so with a good affordable price. Otherwise, you could bricklink the 2 brick parts if you are only interested in those. -

I am away from my notes but I will like to make a bold assumption. I wonder if there is any co-relation for the past clue receivers and the current clue receivers. Maybe we can flagged the suspicions one easily.
-
*shouting from above* I agreed. Some explanations will help..
-
Yea, I can fly it! No problem, the frog and I shall go up to the balcony on the second floor to hove around the upper surroundings to see if there is anything usual.

Let me try and sit on that spaceship. I am sure it can fit me in nicely. I wonder if you guys still remember the earlier hint given by the mysterious old monk.

Hello everyone, I did not really expect myself to re-visit the LEGO Atlantis theme again especially when I keep telling myself to focus more on collecting my core interest. This is more like a filler set which I had bought it on impulse during a recent sales. So, at that point in time, the price was not a deterring factor and I bought a few others along with it, just to satisfy my hunger of buying. Name: 7976 Ocean Speeder Theme: LEGO System / Atlantis Year: 2011 Pieces: 54 Minifigs: 1 minifigure Price: USD $4.99, GBP 3.99, EURO N.A, SGD $10.90 Resources: Brickset, BrickLink An original box image of the 7976 Ocean Speeder Back view of the original box image of the 7976 Ocean Speeder Exploring the depths of the ocean floor I am always fond of acquiring small little aquatic diving sets as I find these sets are pretty cute in nature, like the 8072 Sea jet and the 30042 Mini Sub which are part of the smaller releases of the Atlantis theme. So, in this case I wanted to expand my small little fleet of miniature subs and speeders that allow the diver to travel swiftly from one point to another to expedite the exploration phase. So, read on to find out what do I think about this set? The content of the sealed box Instruction Manual (Front) Instruction Manual (Back) A closer look at the promotional poster on the LEGO Atlantis theme The LEGO building content These small pile of bricks is a fine mixture of red and small amount of yellow bricks. The useful lots are the red and white gems, the pearl gold goblet, harpoon gun, sea weed plant and perhaps some grey bricks for storing up your landscaping bins. These are the remaining spare parts after the built. The dreaded sticker sheet which I did not use Meet the new Atlantis Deep Sea Diver Ah, finally I got the new Atlantis diver's design. It certainly took me a long while to get one of this to add it into my divers' collection. As you can see the new diver is relatively similar to the older design which shown below and the team insignia can still be found on the left leg but this time, the right leg holds a altimeter or even an oxygen supply indicator? It made me think that these divers are venturing deeper than before. The diver equips with the same complicated breathing apparatus and a detailed back print of the torso plus a dual expression which shows a frightful look. For your information, this diver is known as 'Lance Spears'. I got no idea at all until I read the Shop@Home description. Comparison between the old and new Atlantis diving outfit The treasure which is guarded by sea snake The pearl golden goblet which holds the rare white gem is hidden right behind the sea weed plant. Not much hiding though and it is obviously guarded by the dangerous sea snake which I tend to think that it can be easily overcome by the diver. To me, this is not much of a built. I felt it is just mere placement of simple parts to illustrate this not-so-hidden treasure in the deep ocean. I will probably and likely to break all of these up and keep it for my building parts instead. Building process of the Ocean Speeder The building steps are not very complicated and it can be easily divided into 3 mini-sections, where you are able to identify the robotic arms, the propellers and the main frame. The main frame enable the Ocean Speeder to adjust both propellers downwards to boost the speed when the speeder is diving downwards, while the robotic arms allow the diver to grab the treasure gems tightly and making sure the diver's attention is not compromised, so he can tackle with other impending dangers. Different views of the Ocean Speeder Deploying the Ocean Speeder Sea snake attack! Which one of us will reach the precious white gem first? To conclude, there are not much useful thoughts that I could think of to entice LEGO collectors to grab it. I did it on impulse and I bought 2 of it to accompany one another. This is a very simplistic set which is quite similar or slightly bigger than an impulse set. If this set was not on sale, I could not have picked it up for the full retail price for the small amount of bricks. However, this is actually a good starter for those who just want to get the diver since this is the smallest and affordable set to acquire the new diver's design. It also comes with a couple of good accessories like the gems, harpoon weapon and sea weed plant. The rest is not worth mentioning. Summary review Playability: 7/10 (Quite fun to play with especially if you have other similar aquatic subs or speeders.) Design: 6/10 (Ocean Speeder's design is quite decent but the side of the propellers can be quite loose.) Price: 5/10 (Not quite worth to get it at full price for the amount of limited bricks and non-exclusivity. Buy it during clearance sales.) Overall: 6/10 (You can consider getting it if you are into collecting divers and aquatic stuff.) I gave it a "3" based on my Review Score Card. What about yours? I hope every one of you enjoyed reading this simple review of mine. Comments and Criticisms are strongly welcomed. Pictures can be found in My Flickr and My Brickshelf (When moderated)
