  1. Happy Birthday guys! May you have a great day, and Alex, I hope to see more of your town creations in the near future.
  2. Thanks Erdbeereis and Classic Pirate staff for featuring my review in Classic Pirates. I just realised it, few moments ago. It does make a huge difference, and glad this review has assured you. I couldn't want a random lucky draw pick for very impulse set that I bought. It's create excitement for many, but I prefer mine to be consitent. On the other hand, I strongly agreed that a generic face will be better than the current design. It appeared to be a little wierd, with that same expression staring at me, when they are arranged in a group. A classic smiley face actually does the job pretty well. Indeed! Glad to know you have enjoyed reading this review. By the way, I agreed with your statement. As I am not a Pirate collector by nature, due to the lack of Classic Pirates set during my childhood. In fact, these impulse sets were my opening stage into this very new exciting theme. With the basic elements of Imperial Soldiers added to each fleet, I am sure it's will be as exciting of building an army, similar to castle theme as well.
  3. Thanks for that summary. It's nice to see what are the modules that the rest are interested in building. That will be very helpful in the planning. Thrash, as usual, your mapping capability defintely impress me and with this flexible map of yours, we are able to see things in right perspective and we seemed to have some sense of directon as well. It's nice to see how the discussion is moving right now, with keen particpation from our members. One more thing, thanks for being accomodating to the changes/requests for the map to be updated. Right now, everyone please keep the discussion moving. Although it's not easy to follow up with many raised points and discussion made in this very topic, but we will try to arrange something with your views incorporating in it. At this moment, please give us time to sort out some stuff by piecing it together.
  4. In fact, Shadows got all of us duped... Nearly all. Too bad, I was in a position where all of you had cornered me to death. Well, I did escape one night of convicition. Ok. I will look into that later.
  5. This is the very first time ever, a rat has won the mafia game... Geez, this reminds me like the Carter scenario back in Baritones I. The only differences is, we managed to nail down Carter before he nails us down. It seemed many of us are fooled by Ian's crappy trusting talk... We are like killing each other off, without getting our facts right. It has been a great game so far, and I will share more of my thoughts later. Meanwhile, I will like to said, "I am still innocent". Oh, it's nice to see Agent Sky back in action. Hinck, thanks for this very exciting games and the actions involved are funny especially J.Blue toliet flush. It gave me a good laugh.
  6. I like the idea of having a good few minifigs in one single set for an affordable price, mainly to increase the count for minifigs across many themes that enable us to have playing interaction in our mocs, sets, tabletop and etc. At this moment, SW, Castle and City have such sets available which is mentioned by legoist and I hope it will keep it that way. Perhaps, we could see minifig collection for the Pirates too. Actually, this kind of packaging content exist long time ago, back in those Classic era. There are many of such sets available until recent past where they have stopped doing so.
  7. These images were discussed at the previous pages. This is the link.
  8. Good job on this fine looking classic car, especially on the detailed front and back. It does look very nice, and it will be even much better with doors by the side. By the way, this moc has been featured in Classic-Town.net.
  9. Thanks Ricecracker. I remembered that poll as well and I did a search earlier too. prateek, I have merged your topic with this, to continue the discussion since both topic agenda does not really have much difference in the intended discussion between both. This is to consolidate the discussion into one place and to minimise duplication in EB. In addition to the above point, no concrete discussion is too old as long it's still valid and current for the benefit of the community if there are values by adding your views in it. However, making a point in past LEGO news and themes about the release and discussion is an example of insignificant posting value. Hope that clarify. Thanks.
  10. Teddy, are you suggesting that we should have separate categories for building modules and road modules as 2 separate basic building entities? In other words, we will have 4 basic road plates for consideration, which are T junction, Cross road, Straight road and curved road? I am not sure what are the general feel about this, but I am fine with any of the settings, as long we can make building a pleasant experience.
  11. I believe it has to be brick built and not revolved around LDD. Zone 1 could be further enhance for more upgrading. I am not very sure if we are firm with the current zone settings. Meanwhile, you could express interest and contribute your ideas/views accordingly. On a total unrelated note, what is the meaning of that acroymn "cb" supposed to meant? And, please don't type your post in a chit chat fashion manner. Thanks.
  12. That's the way! Hinck, you have pinned down the essence of our very next step. Defining what to have in each zones is the next step to go. We should do this in a step by step manner, by accomplishing our objective for various primary zones. For example, let's discuss about what kind of Residential buildings/apartments we should have for our Residential zone, and discussing subsequent ones as well. In this way, we can capture the key data and reflect it into the first post effectively. Personally, I think the second topic is to ensure the standards of the physical look of the streets we will like, and what kind of format or platform we should be building on. From what I see, there is no direct conflict of interest, perhaps it's a little indirect, but as long we keep the preliminary findings and implement into this main topic, I don't see a point by merging them together. The poll is important, and the results are crucial in basic town planning evaulation. I have suggested to lay down the primary zones, and under each primary zones, we will list down the potential building structure that comes along with it. In this way, we are able to associate and identify clearly by knowing what are the exact modules and size we are looking at, before we arrange them into exact blueprint. The list can be comprehensive, and can be expanded for future upgrading. Therefore, let's throw in the essential basic elements for each primary zone. In this way, we are going to have some constructive progress before more of us are thrown into the whirlpool.
  13. Brickaholic, can you help to define these 10 zones in a much clearer approach? I don't really get your intentions. I will like to see general rules and common understanding are established by those interested members whom are keen in this project to iron out the nifty details that we have talked for the past few days. As much as I could, I strongly encourage that such projects like this required a high amount of coordination and detail which should be planned and discuss by the builders and particpants. This is the right time for all of us to discuss and set things straight before procceding to the right direction. This is my suggestion, for background familarisation practice. For building categories, I will encourage primary zoning to be conducted into 3 primary aspects which are mainly Residental, Commerial, and Industrial zones for preliminary town growth. These are the main pillars in a country. The government which mainly reflect as the authority of the City or Town and we can focus on by highlighting the respective Ministry. For example, Ministry of Transport. We can discuss about various modes of transport such as Land, Air and Sea. Each category itself, served as a top down approach, similar to funneling process. What I am suggesting here is, let's get our modules or zones right before all of us are confused with loads of information. Let's focus on building the basic infrastructure. Did you remember? Rome was not built overnight. It takes time to set things straight and careful town planning is required to ensure all zones are adequately taken care of to prevent excessive resources flowing around. Share your thoughts with one another, and express interest by contributing your insights and thoughts to the entire Community Build.
  14. Indeed! This shall serve a great representation of details for the pavement/sidewalks. However, the limitations could be the lack of bricks or parts that could prevent you from expanding. Perhaps, any kind soul whom have some spare bricks by their side could provide us some visual appeal of these various options. I am sure it will be helpful to organise our thoughts much better.
  15. Brickster, you have built so many Gravestone mocs for the past few weeks and that is amazing! Nothing shall stop Brickster from building when he is inspired. Apologises for my late observation, I was busy for the past few weeks and now I have time to look at some of your cool and sinister looking creations that leave much haunting memories. As usual, I am sure this entire new flow of inspiration must have strike mainly from the recent Farm sets but I noticed that you have gotten it from a few horror movies. The building structure for the entire barn house sure looks a little creepy. The primary color combination of brown and black work well with one another. However, I do find the use of orange bricks as the foundation of the barn may look a little wierd. On the other hand, I think you are trying to potray the Halloween look with the use of orange. Oh, there is one familar part which can be found in the outback sets. You are using it as a mini windmill. Nice creation, and I should be looking at more of your other creations as well.
  16. Guys, let's not de-railed away from this topic anymore. Let's stay focus on the intended discussion so we are able to conduct our Eurobricks Town Community Build, by first establishing our standards among our members whom are interested in this community project. Thanks. Oh, I am serious by highlighting my point above.
  17. Actually, I prefer my sidewalk which is also known as pavement to be made available in the course of building to represent the human traffic. I will strongly prefer the use of tiles but at the same time, plates work well for me. However, I am not sure if plates done on a higher platform will look much better though.
  18. Thanks for sharing your classic collection with our community. I love the way on how you display your sets, and in fact this is the kind of storage which I envision to build in my own flat next time. Did you have any other cupboards as well? Perhaps, I could ask for some tips from you next time, when I am able to ballot my own HDB flat in the near future. If possible, do take some clear images.
  19. Sinner, if you ever need any of these rubber band holders, let me know. I can post it to you at no cost. I got alot of these holders that serve no purpose to me anyway, and I remember that I threw a few back then, when I am ripping off my Castle Crossbow attack.
  20. Happy Birthday to Athos and Holodoc! Have a great and fun birthday with your family!
  21. Erdy, I am feeling so impatient for the long wait of Pirate sets' arrival in my country. I must admit that this is going to be one of the much better small Pirate set is offering so much great parts, especially the cannon and the minifigs.
  22. Well done! I never thought Power Miners and Indiana Jones could have a nice combination which is well reflected in this moc of yours. Nice built on your boulder and the mountain cliff.
  23. Opps! It was my mistake! I was counting earlier, how come there is only one maiden, when there should be two in total. It was actually an oversight of mine, upon viewing this image. This explains it all. It's nice to see how you used simple parts to illustrate this awesome set, and at the same time taking care of its minor details.
  24. It is very innovative! I am amazed with the amount of interior details which you have considered and implement it into your design such as your radio system, pantry, comms compartment, gear storage and etc. The amount of features which are included have defintely greatly enhanced the playability and an excellent addition to your Police Department. By the way, this has make it to Classic-Town.net.
  25. Guys, thanks for all of your words of encouragement. I enjoyed reading all of your views and thoughts towards this set. Many of us do have mixed feeling about this set especially if we compared it against the Soldier Arsenal. However, this is an impulse set and being a Pirate theme, I can easily rate this as one of the much valued impulse set compared to many others which might have lower rating than this, mainly because of its accessories and parts such as the fish. The biggest downside in this set, could largely be its building process. In fact, there is bare minimum building experience involved in this set. It appeared to be more like some useful parts group together and launch it as one set. Despite of this major disadvantage, this set still command a higher score for many reasons which I have mentioned. Yes. I had corrected the mistake and reflect the correct terms in it. Thanks for pointing it out.
