8295 Telescopic Handler Review
WhiteFang replied to ZO6's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I don't want to see a good review like this to become a heating debate on ratings. Everyone of us have our own opnions, and I don't appericate others to force their own opnions down onto others throat. Thanks. -
Noir Mafia Confirmation/General Discussion Thread
WhiteFang replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Stash, I am very sure he is not familar with how these games run. Wanted to give him a chance to try it out, as a new player, but it just doesn't look too good for him. -
Vincent Forman, you still have a slim chance to defend yourself, and explaining yourself will be better than casting a vote against Sanders unless you know what he is up to, which is very unlikely. You, are only one vote away from the soul reaper.

Revisiting old topics (Bumping)

Please refer to my above reply for a better understanding with regards to the topic question. -
His inexperience has caused him a high price. It's most unfortunate, but its likely that he is unable to survive tonight based on his reputation, and from his pointing fingers, this bode bad omens for him. I am still reclutant to vote for him, but I want to hear his statement. I believe we could count the numbers of our current votes too, and how many more to conviction?
-
Before I cast my vote, I need to be sure of something about Vincent Forman. He might be a new cop, and an inexperienced one indeed as he made a serious accussations at the start of this game of life. I will strongly encourage that he should speak up now before he doom himself, and if possible I will hope to see the rest of his police collegues to speak up too, even his superior. So far, the citizens have been discussing, how about the authority? I understand that we need to have actions in order to have results and voting can be easy, but I will want to see how the rest of the police reacts, and this is an important observation.

Revisiting old topics (Bumping)
WhiteFang replied to Tom_castlefan's topic in Forum Information and Help
As an Eurobricks member, it's perfectly alright to revive dead/old threads to re-ignite the discussion, if some of the following conditions are met, 1) The member must have a valid discussion point to raise in terms of constructive input, suggestions, recommendations, advice, ideas, views and etc that is able to justify the member's input by adding value to the topic. On the other hand, if the member adds in one line sentences with poor structure and value such as "This MOC is great.", "Can you show me how you do it? and "This is so cool!". Such input are simply pointless. 2) Reviving them, must have a sense of purpose in terms of relevance. For example, reviving a topic such as MOC, Reviews or recent discussions serve purpose. These topics do not have an expiry date attached to it. However, if topics such as "past news" or "sets speculations", and comments such as this "Hey, I knew this set was coming all along in the Viking series." and "You guys whom have guessed it right on the battlepacks. Kudos to you all." Well, for a known fact, we know such topics are already past news and there is simply no point and no reason for it to be ever revived. 3) Members are strongly encouraged to use "Search" function to check if similar discussion has ever exist in Eurobricks boards, and most of the time, some discussions do exist. We do not need similar discussions to be fragmented into multiple topics. Therefore, always have a habit of searching the forums by using keywords and revive them, if necessary. Thanks. -
Japanese Mini-Figure 35th Anniversary Celebration!
WhiteFang replied to def's topic in General LEGO Discussion
def, this is a very good lucky draw, its a pity that it only happen in Japan. Will like to participate it if there is such event over in Singapore. Alywin, thanks for the explaination. I am sure these lots available to these winners with a total of 140, is alot. Did the both of you particiapte too? -
Before anyone of us starts to behave irrational, by throwing votes randomly, I will strongly suggest others or the ones whom have cast the vote, to explain their reasoning instead of jumping the bandwagon. In previous history, in most cases, the first one to go off in the first night is probable to be innocent, of course I am not discounting the fact that everyone is innocent, like myself we are all in the same boat. I will strongly suggest for all of us to start picture our steps tonight, and re-entact the scenes in our head, and share clues, if any with the rest of us, so we could have something for us to rely on. I am not sure whether to cast my vote now, as "I" hoping that the god above might shed some "light" for us during mid-day, of course we can be discussing our approach and spectulate our suspicions. I will wait awhile.

That's pretty unusual. It seemed Shadows Shawn, have indeed potrayed different faces in his life journey. He, must have gone through plentiful of life experience. *Looking at the clock* It seems to be mid-day, anytime. I wonder what's cooking for lunch?
-
Oh Shawn. You, a Priest back in your younger days? I thought you are always interested in capitalist ventures, prior to make big bucks. However, I must thank you for your generous donations to the church over the past years to help the homeless children.
-
That will be an interesting story. I do know abit of the toaster background though. Those were the good old days, Doctor. I can remembered when I was in my youth, when we have to serve our nation as conscripts to protect our nation, I was a Town Commander, making sure that the citizens there are in safe hands from terror. That was some crazy adventure back then.

8295 Telescopic Handler Review
WhiteFang replied to ZO6's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Let me "re-qualify" the definition with regards to "Ratings" used by this kind reviewer, ZO6, whom have taken time to deliver and present this review to Eurobricks Community. Ratings are used, to illustrate as a final note in your review, to summarised key performance indicators determined by the reviewer itself that is used to determine the factors that could or possible influence your buying decision "based" on the reviewer's boundary, by commenting its advantages and disadvantages, key aspects, essential coverage based on the size of the review by ensuring that facts are in place in terms of images genunity and creativity, that is ultimately supported by the Reviewer's view and comment. As you can see, this is a review written by your very own approach, and its used to present it from your own liking and most of the time, members whom are doing reviews are inclined to present in a positive light, and based on its own rational judgement and understanding towards "its" own playing experience. The ratings are used and deployed by others, are in different forms of weighing methods that varies from many others, as there is no universal rating scale, but some best practice are employed in terms of scoring, weighted average, percentage, and others. If you claim that others are not doing well enough in this review, why not doing it in your own manner that you think it's least bias with a positive and negative balance in it. On the other hand, in most reviews, there is always a poll to support this. As ZO6 is not a Knight and not a Reviewers Academy student, he is not entitled to create a poll to gather opnions of liking towards "this set", rated from 1 (Poor) to 5 (Excellent). This poll is not meant to use it judge or evaluate the Reviewer's review, instead using a simple mechanism to demostrate the liking of this set as an overall. This will ultimate serve, the "balance" between ratings and community results in Eurobricks. Thanks. WhiteFang -
Err, you might want to re-check the author again, it is done by Holodoc.

Noir Mafia Confirmation/General Discussion Thread
WhiteFang replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I was about to point that out to Draggy. I strongly encouraged new players to read the previous games, and Baritones I and II are very informative sources, with excellent illustration. It won't do any of us good especially to yourself, if you are not familar with the gameplay. -
Doc, that is a very good review, getting the involvement of the Classic Spacemen, together to build this spectulatar historic sight. Was this review done with the celebration of Moon Day? I like it, and by the way this was the first time, I knew about this set, honestly. Thanks for sharing!

Murder On the Emerald Express: Chapter 11
WhiteFang replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Let's see, can we have some helping hands over here, so we can make it out of here, by construct a ladder, that might support us all. -
It's nice to meet the rest of the citizens. Hello Chief Steven, your arrival is timely. You are right on the dot, this town has been infested with evil, and we should excerise our judgement more precise. I believe we should be heading over to Quinn diner over there. It will be a better place to discuss, of course until after the police have settled with the corpose. I propose that the police and the authorised personnel are able to find some clues to share with us, so we are able to assist you in the investigation. Son, you have been too haste in your judgement. Calm down, and stop pointing fingers until you have evidence or clue to share with us, otherwise you are bode with dark omens.
-
Carlos, I believe. I read the book of sins before, and I believed the heavens above, will judge people like us if we don't obey the rulings and one of it mentioned, editing your posts more than 3 times in this entire game will warrant an instant death. Sounds spooky, don't you think?
-
Oh Sanders, may god bless you and forgive your drinking sins. You should embrace yourself with light and shine, searching for inspiration instead of dwelling yourself down with such ville stuff.
-
You are reading it wrongly, my dear son... I was saying... I am not sure if you are the person weeping down in tears, kneeling beside her, as I could only take a glimpse at the side of your picture.
-
Indeed, if we are able to be granted with the current situation, we will be much equipped with better judgement too. I think Robert Concini and Zita, might give us some clues into that. Looking at the way, our deceased civillan had been gunned down, Robert was seen kneeling down. I am not sure if it was him, but its quite similar to him.
