I wish the upcoming modular building will offer both in-depth and beautiful architecture design similar to Café Corner standards, and having detailed interiors such as Green Grocer. When both design considerations are taken play, we will be able to play this in modular style merging it at the end of the street, taking it level by level. I wish TLG could start installing chandeliers inside their buildings, so Draggy and TinyPiesRUs won’t have to use “those” to smash my head.

I believed we can discuss abit of card games related stuff as well. Afterall, some of the boardgames also can used cards to coordinate the game flow. However, let's keep it focus, as I couldn't want the discussion to be flooded with Pokemon or YuGiOh stuff.

Guys, thanks for all of your kind comments. Most importantly, glad all of you have enjoyed reading this. This promotional exclusive set is not easy to come by, and I am glad I own one of this airline sets, without having to fly, just to buy them via official channels. I am not sure what are the exact airlines offerring this promotion, except Lufthansa. Perhaps, United Airlines, All Nippon Airways, offered this. If anyone have any info on this, please share it with us. That's a very funny and logical assumption. Someone also told me something similar like yours. Thanks Brickster! Glad you like the last image very much. I was trying to hide my hand, while taking this shot as complete as possible, to illustrate the takeoff. I must admit that these small aircrafts are nice to collect and swoosh! Just saw Holodoc's comment. Wow! You got this at the EB event. That's very nice. I think the mechanism was done intentional with regards to simple playability offered to children. Some other smaller aircrafts such as the 7732 Mail Plane, opens its hatch by the side, to place its parcel, while this required a bigger opening space, which results in this opening. I am not sure how the designers could derive it, but maybe this is one of a kind aircraft that load the patient conveniently.

Although "Magic the Gathering", is not part of boardgaming collection, but I must admit that the cards' values and the variation of decks and powers, can be quite extensive to understand. I used to play these when I was a teenager, and oh boy, these cards cost a lot. I wonder how much could it cost when I let go in the market. I don't have any interest keeping them anyway.

Hello everyone, Finally, I am glad to find the time to build and review this small little aircraft which I have bought in earlier August at the STGCC 2009 (Singapore Toys, Games Comic Convention 2009). For most LEGO City collectors that adore smaller built aircrafts, then getting this set is definitely a must. Personally, I felt very surprised to see this appearing in this year's convention as this aircraft is launched for promotional purposes that tied up with airlines such as Lufthansa back in 2007, which can only be bought via in-flight sales. Other than that, there were no other official retail channels except the usual haunts such as BrickLink and eBay. Name: Air Ambulance Theme: LEGO / SYSTEM / Town / City Year: 2007 Pieces: 116 Minifigs: 2 Price: USD N.A, GBP N.A, SGD$21.90 Resources: Brickset, Peeron, BrickLink An image of a 2064, Air Ambulance Rear box's image Did you ever notice that the dimension of this box is rather small? I believe the limitation of aircraft storage space could be the likely reason for the box size to be much smaller compared to other regular LEGO sets. The manual, sticker sheet and the polybags were packed tightly within the sealed box when the box was taken apart. 24/7 Operational aircraft for emergency purposes It appears that our medical crew is ready for lift off along with our special guest. Well, you can refer him to Grandpa whom is waving at us. I am pleased to share this promotional set review with our fellow EB Community. This is the kind of aircraft that is not jumbo compared to their 7893 Passenger Plane counterpart. In fact, this plane is well suited for any Classic Town airports set up and it’s a must be readily available to transport causalities or serious injuries citizen to the nearest hospital. Let’s move on and find out more. LEGO Content Inside this small looking LEGO box, there are a total of three polybags and an additional of three aircraft parts which was not part of the polybags packaging. Instruction manuals I was very surprised to see this set containing two instruction manuals. You won’t see more than one instruction manual unless the set is as big as the Grand Carousel. Scroll a little bit down to find out the answer. Instruction manual No. 2??? We have solved the mystery. The so called instruction manual no. 2 actually contains the parts list of the 2064 Air Ambulance. On both sides, there are 2007 City sets miniature poster which showcase the sets that are available for purchase back then. Sticker sheet This is the sticker sheet that is required to apply onto the aircraft. I am not a big fan of stickers, and choose not to apply them in this set or review. One glance at the logo, will give you the awareness that this aircraft is meant for emergency evacuation. Parts that can be easily used for aerospace manufacturing Filtering out the parts, majority of the aircraft building parts are generally white and these parts are pretty useful to construct any other small sized commercial aircrafts with those frames acting as fuselage, propellers, wings and etc. Interesting parts These are some of the interesting building parts which are available to this set. One particular thing that I like most is the aircraft navigation control panel. The printed slope brick include the state of the art radar control with many colorful buttons and a small little floppy disk slot. Don’t ask me why this aircraft required having floppy disk, perhaps the disk contains the flight path to upload into the navigation control. The stretcher is useful for moving patients from point to point, ensuring that their movements will not be restricted due to their sickness. In particular, I enjoy collecting those windscreen and window panels for aircrafts. These parts are extremely useful to aid in the design of aircraft construction. The windscreen can also be used for most City vehicles’ windscreen. Minifigures There are a total of 2 minifigs available in this small building set. The medical specialist or commonly known as paramedic are trained to take care of emergency cases, ensuring the patients are in good hands before handing over to the hospital. During the course, the paramedic is to ensure that the patient is well taken care of. In this case, it appears that the paramedic is dual specialist, trained in piloting the aircraft as well. I am sure in reality, this is a rare sight. We will have a dedicated pilot to control the aircraft. The old looking man appeared to be wearing formal attire suited up with blue and black strip tie appears to be distress or suffered from heart attack, that required the emergency airlift to be conducted. I am quite fond of this grandpa’s torso to provide more civilians outfit. Moving the strencher around The trolley bed is used to transport patient whom is immobile or could due to their sickness that imposed restrictions onto their movement. Patient will be lying down on the stretcher and the paramedic is ready to send them to the necessary treatment area. I must admit that I am quite fond of this little trolley bed as it’s relatively simple to build, and yet so useful to move those stretcher around especially in hospital premises. Building the fuselage It appears that most LEGO small sized commercial aircraft used these following parts above, to build up the aircraft fuselage by arranging them together. Placing the aircraft frames Adding the frames by the side allows the aircraft to appear secured and tight with proper materials in place such as the aircraft window panels. Aircraft wings The aircraft wings are powered by propellers instead the use of engine turbines. Look at the red valves at the top of the wings to highlight its key engine areas. All small sized aircrafts including the recent 7732 Air Mail made use of similar wings. Landing gear I find this landing gear’s design a little unique, primarily because the signal lights are placed at the rear landing gear. I am not very sure of the rational as in why are the lights placed there, but when the wheels are retracted, only the lights are left there. Front view of the Air Ambulance The air ambulance is measured at 19cm width and 22cm height. The propellers are fixed onto the upper frame of the structure. The colors palette used for this aircraft is suitable as it depict the emergency rescue theme very well by using both red and white color. There are few other pictures that illustrate the side and bottom view of the aircraft. When was the last time you seen a medical aircraft like the one above? I supposed it has been 19 years since the last introduction of Air Ambulance concept. Looking back at Classic Town days, the 6356 Med-Star Rescue Plane was the only emergency medical evacuation aircraft available. I was thinking back why there wasn't any such aircrafts. If you have noted any other similar designs like these, please point out in this review. I am sure I could have missed it. Side view Bottom view Quick comparison with both aircrafts Placing the bi-plane from the 7198 Fighter Plane Attack, both aircraft structures are relatively similar in terms of its width. However, the heights of both aircrafts differ from each other. One glance, you might notice that the bi-plane propeller is much larger than the smaller aircraft, which is likely due to its bigger airframe. Nevertheless, both aircrafts are suited for taking off at this runway. Storage compartment By lifting up the white compartment piece, it will reveal a storage compartment for the paramedic to stow the patient in there safely for air transportation. This is the only notable playing feature in this entire set. Do note that the tail wing is much longer by using a white 2x10 flat piece. By using only 4 studs to hold the compartment, there is an extended 6 studs long for its tail. Most small aircraft designs like this, doesn’t really have long tail wing, but this set appears somehow to be much longer than the usual ones. Loading the patient into the air ambulance The paramedic will place the patient safely along with the stretcher at the rear compartment before locking it down. The allocated space is fitted nicely just enough for one patient with its stretcher. Excess baggage is not allowed in this aircraft. Spare parts These are the remaining spare parts available in this set. Not many useful parts except for the 1x1 color round studs. Flight MA998, Medivac Airways is preparing to take off the runway Have a safe journey with Medivac Airways! For a promotional exclusive set like this, that is only available via in-flight sales on selected airlines and, now able to obtain it for a reasonable price, I must admit that this set will eventually gives a high rating. Furthermore, this medical evacuation aircraft is the latest model in City Themes, ever since the last release of similar Air Ambulance back in Classic Town era, 1988. The overall built of the aircraft is not bulky and include a good assortment of minifigures and equipment to further entice collectors to own this set. Of course, get this set only if it’s affordable. I like this set, but I don’t fond of paying a premium price to own one. Summary review Playability: 8/10 (Placing the stretcher in the rear cabin is one of the nice playing feature.) Design: 8/10 (Simple and effective Classic aircraft designs, but the long tail wing makes it appear to be disproportional.) Price: 9/10 (For the price that I have bought and its not part of the in-flight sales, I must admit that its pretty affordable.) Overall: 8.3/10 (A good to have set, if you are able to get one for a reasonable pricing to include this in your airport runway.) I gave it a "4" based on my Review Score Card. What about yours? Hope everyone of you enjoyed reading this simple review of mine. Comments and Critics are strongly welcomed. Pictures can be found in My Brickshelf (When moderated)

I can't said myself that I enjoyed Scrabble alot. Most of the time, I could be scratching my head thinking what are the words to use, within my limited vocabulary in my head. I think I have seen this game before, and Parker Brothers or Hasbro have released a Disney version of it. I am not familar with this game, but I heard its relatively similar to LUDO playing concept, with some additional variations, pointed by you.

Dave, nice to see you dropping by. Didn't know the both of you were big fans of boardgaming! Yes, I love to play Muchkin, with the orignal version, plus various expansion packs. It's so fun, as if you are role playing, exploring dungeons, slaying monsters, getting treasures and enhancements! A great game indeed! The Knights of King Arthur, one of the most advanced gaming platform developed by Days of Wonder. I learned for 2 to 3 hours to get myself familarise with this, and I am extremely impressed with the "Quests" system, and fighting against the corruption. In fact, all of the players, working as the Knights of Camelot are beating against the "gaming system". The best fun, if you could add in some game variations, by placing a traitor among those knights. I miss those knights' character cards such as Lancelot and etc, where they each have different abilities. Thanks for reminding of this wonderful game that I used to play. Unfortunately, most of my friends don't know how to play this. To be honest, I didn't come across the rest of the games. I must do some searching and reading up. It's fun to know that among fellow LEGO collectors, that they are actually boardgaming players.

For a minute, I couldn't believe the name of this strategic game until I have seen the picture below. I thought you refer to "Risk". Then again, this playing concept is pretty interesting and quite similar to Risk itself, with taking over territories, turn based kind of attacks and defends, by using dice to determine the outcome. This is the first time I have seen this rendition. A very good game, but I didn't have a chance to learn this set, due to its complicated rules. Then again, all strategic boardgamings have complicated rules, but it will have to determine whether you are able to adapt the rules or not. One similar game, which is similar to "The Settlers from Catan", will be "Carcassonne". Another good tile boardgaming which make use of creating terrains and gaining bonus, through its building and value.

Are we participating in LEGO Building speed competition? If not, why should the building duration matters? Personally, are we asking for an average comparison of building speeds, for measuring purposes, but I don't think it matters whom build the fastest or slowest. we are not in a competition. As a consumer and AFOL, you bought a LEGO set because you like that product design, and part of the buying experience is your building experience. Will you want to ruin your building experience when you have to pay money for it. Afterall, the building experience is one of the primary reasons for you to own a LEGO set. My advice is to take your time and don't rush into things, simply because we want to be the fastest builder for Cafe Corner. The answer is no, ultimately its you, yourself whom decide whether the building experience is worthwhile or not...

Ah, "Sequence". I remembered the first time I played with this game, and I thought to myself why poker cards are used in this. At first glance, I thought it was a combination of roulette and poker together. However, I sure was wrong on this. Instead Sequence offered a range of teamwork and of course lots of luck. It's similar to Bingo, but of course it will depend on how ambitious can you be to complete the lines. With 4 players, you are able to form teams. Nevertheless, this game is fun. "Monopoly", one of the classic and successful games ever released. This game is a timeless classic where players can be as young as 4 to 5 years old till 70 years. Anyone can just play and buy real estates properties and start collecting money from players whom landed on your property. Furthermore, this is the only boardgame ever to release so many versions' with little playing variations and concepts, but different street names and packaging to attract monopoly collectors. Now, there is even an electronic version. I haven't got the idea of how the latest version works, but this is sure a must have boardgame in every household.

Hello everyone, With the recent development of LEGO boardgaming by TLG, I was wondering if anyone of you are interested in boardgames like I do. Actually, before LEGO becomes a bigger part of my life, I was actually interested in boardgaming back then, where I will hooked up with my friends to chill and have some quality time spent playing some intringing games. Later on, I spent a few months specialising these games in a boardgaming cafe by working as a part timer. Some of my favourite games ever played could be the "Ticket to Ride". I had played 3 versions before and I must admit that the USA map is much easier to play, while the Europe and Marklin version offer much advance gameplay such as use of tunnels and train stations. Some other game which I enjoyed the most, is quite similar to the current mafia games, but given a different twist. This game is known as "Saboteur" where two different group of players' identity are hidden in the group of miners, hoping to find the real gold by laying tunnels. However the players whom are holding the saboteur card will have to act as if they are part of the miners, but in actual fact, they are supposed to double cross those miners and lead them to the wrong path. It's one of the interactive games ever, as it allows up to 10 players. Other games which I interested to play, such as Citadel, Samurai, I'm the Boss, Blokus, Family Business and etc. The following ice breaking games, which involved not much brain activities, but more of a reaction based, such as First Hand, Snorta, Slamwich, and etc. These games bring back lots of memories for me, even though it's just a few years ago. Fellow Eurobrickers, do you have any boardgaming experience to share? Perhaps some of us could have similar boardgaming interest, so we can exchange views and of course, keeping myself in touch. I must admit that I am a little rusty right now. WhiteFang

Happy Birthday Hinckley, Mr, Mandalorian and Mr Spielbrick
WhiteFang replied to Professor Flitwick's topic in Community
Happy Birthday Hinckley and Mandy! Hope you guys have a lovely day and of course, may your wish come true. -
Topic is merged, since this is related to BrickLink questions. For a start, if your dad is telling you it will cost a hundred dollars for shipping, which means he is discouraging you to buy online and I believe he has his own reasons for doing so, and either you convince him or just listen to him, and do your own shopping when you are much older. Next, I don't believe there is an average shipping cost in BrickLink, but correct me if I am wrong. Shipping differs from country to country and region to region. Shipping goes accordingly by weight and not value of the consignment. Shipping will be much expensive if it ranges from express mail service such as UPS and DHL, or registered services or even the slowest mode of transport which is via sea that is one of the slowest and cheapest mode. The best option is to email or drop a message to the seller and request for a shipping quotation and what modes are available for the consignment.

Ralph_S, this is an amazing piece of work, with lots of details in it. I must admit that the scaffolding idea on the other house is great. Lovely piece of work. Thanks for sharing it with us. This has been featured in Classic-Town.net.

Mystical Castle - Conclusion
WhiteFang replied to Dragonator's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I can't help it but to laugh all night when Dillon made that remark. Well, you did try "very hard" to prove your innocence to us. Perhaps, you are being too honest when you discover that you are actually a loyal citizen. -
Mystical Castle - Conclusion
WhiteFang replied to Dragonator's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
In this game, I have a night action which allows me to observe others' hiding myself in the corridors, seeing if anyone has any movement. Practically, my night action is quite useless. It doesn't tell me exactly what they are doing or loyalty. Practically, I am only aware of players whom have night actions, will have to step out of their room. As for my sudden death role, the one whom I am observing, is under the target by any other members that have night action, will have their identity reveal to me. Other than that, my role is pretty boring. However, through this role, I was able to identify whom are the players that have night actions and how they relate to me. For example, I reveal that Dillon has a night action, but he didn't know what I am trying to do. At the first 2 to 3 days, he was quite suspicious to me, but realising that he is an investigator with weird findings, as compared with Ricecracker. I feel his words are much trustworthy. Furthermore, we need to have the ones that he investigate to die first, to check whether his findings are correct or not. On one of the nights which I have to find, I believe its Night 3 or 4. I know the Friar/Svelte is rather innocent, or at least seemed to me that he doesn't have any weird hobbies such as sleepwalking in the night. Therefore, when others are attacking him, I have to defend him. The Friar confided in the allies of his, including JimButcher, where both of us are communicating with each other by trying to take the Dragons down. Unfortunately, in the earlier start of the games, I had lose allies such as Alice and Sandy after the whole Shadows fiesta. I do wished we didn't take metagaming or hatred into consideration. It clouds our judgement. Nicholas/professor flitwick has presented himself well in the last game, especially with the voting patterns, and I know two nights ago, you were out there doing something and for a slight moment, I thought you are the one whom killed the Admiral. Luckily, after reading the finding of mine many times, there is a probablity that you are not the killer. Simply because, Draggy wrote that findings much longer than the rest. In this game, I didn't play a significant role, more of a supportive role, by voting out Dragons whenever it is necessary. On many occassions, I feel Quarryman is suspicious. He was kind of quiet, and comparing past votes that he didn't participate, I think we have indeed round up the last dragon by eliminating the right one. It's nice to see my fellow collegue, Darth_Legois hugging together while been crushed by this very classical scene. In fact, it has been repeated in Noir Mafia too. I think Shadows and Hinck's roles are the coolest. It was a pity that you guys were convicted earlier. Blame that tongue twisted Zepher for revealing much about you guys. Enjoyed this game very much. Hope I can add some more thoughts later. -
