While I love the new Technic sets, the 853 CHASSIS was a classic set. For a set that designed back in the mid 70s, it was way ahead of its time. I vote for 'old.'

This ship has a better "bottom" side, then a "top" side...A rarity with LEGO MOCS and models.

I would like to see LEGO make a train set based on the 777 from the movie Unstoppable. You can even add a Denzel Washington minifigure.

I like the UCS 10227 B-Wing very much. I don't know how they could have really improved upon it that much IMO. The Super Star Destroyer was less impressive to me. Not every LEGO set has to have minifigures.

I liked it a lot better when I bought it for $68 this week at TRU...LOL

Helm's Deep is a hard set to design, unless of course you want to make a mountain out of LEGO bricks. I'm not a huge fan of the set because of the lack of 'the mountain.' There are so many other sets that could have been done in the LOTR theme. I like your ideas though.

I've had some luck using the Mega Blok instructions and made a couple of HALO ships out of LEGO bricks.
