Hi all I have been a lego builder for about 30 years, I have always wanted trains but could not afford them till recently, all the RC I purchased new the others have been pieced together from auctions, kijiji, yard sales From left to right, some of my custom rolling stock, a custom 4560 with a fill size engine, observation car and luggage car, a WIP custom engine (more to come when the last of the parts arive) and behind it my 7897 4559 with 4 cars, 3677 lighted with 2nd engine My sons 7938 and a 7715 I also have a 4511 engine that I am trying to reassemble / customize

V-LV-52E A few hears back my son and I srt on the task of building a model for a building contest at the local library, this is what we ended up with. Dad's on the BBQ, juinors roasting a marshmallow and our lovable pooch is hiding it the cab, after lunch its off to the trails for a hike. The awning folds back to form the roof for transport.

[pid][/pid] 122C This is a pirate ship that I completed 5 years ago, I made custom canvas sales for it but they are not shown in the photo (old pic sorry) I picked up alot of design ideas from the older ships and threw in some of my own, my other WIP, my skeleton ship, has not been touched for some time, but there is always a chance.

Hi all this is one my first topics started on this site so bear with me. I picked up the red cargo train before christmas at TRU on a buy 1 get one 50% so I decided to order a 8870 light kit for it. They did not leave any room for is so it took some modifications. I switched the bricks that hold the headlamp with the open back style and with the 1x2 panels installed behind there is vclearance for the 8870. I also had to change the smooth 1x3 plates on the top of the hood with 1x4 to streghten the assembly. the second engine has no PF, just rolling stock, The PF is going in another project. I also lighted my sons 9738 with the 8870, no modifications needed, there is room behind the front panel and a gap under the panel under the engineer to run the wire.

I called the toys R us near port huron mi and they had none in stock and none in the warehouse but 10's of thousands on order lol, the places I contacted in canada say 2-4 weeks

If you have a collection of the pieces to build it why not use bricklink to see if any of the pieces are unique to a set. IE see what sets the windscreen came in? I also use Brickfactory if you go to the last page of 162 there are 3 alternate modles there is also 4565 it is yellow, may be newer than what you have though.

My favourite set is a 5580 Highway Rig that I found at a yard sale in the original, have wanted it since it first came out. I am getting in to the trains now, got a 3677 red cargo train modified with lights and a second non pf engine, 7897 passenger train, 4559 highspeed train and an old 7715 as well as some other odds and ends. I have been looking for some good resources for trains and I think I have found it.
