Fantasy Creatures in Historic Themes
kill will replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I like them, as they can lead to a lot of creative MOCs where the builder isn't limited by reality. A great is example is your Grave Town, as the paranormal things give a greater depth and imagination than a historically accurate build would. In sets, I think they work well, as it just allows the child/adult to make up all of their own versions of history. The play value is immense, instead of "boring old swords/guns", you can give mythical creatures powers, wizards, witches, anything. I know from when I was younger, I always played Castle with a slight amount of magic, but a whole lot of unearthly creatures. In city, I would have Matrix style shootouts or some random monster destroying the town. And of course with Pirates I would have all sorts of sea creatures. But anyways, I am all for Fantasy in Historical themes, it broadens creativity even more. -
Thanks for merging this thread WhiteFag, It was much needed. I have all 3 Halo games, but I got tired of them fairly quickly. I don't really care for the Halo franchise in general, but the first two games were fairly good.

The use of the actual werewolf head is great! Really looks like Wolfpack now

Oh god... Probably the 50th Halo related thread? Before MB got the license, there was a very slim chance of Lego Halo, considering it's rated M and Lego is a family friendly company. But now that MegaBloks has the license, there is NO possibility of Lego Halo. If you don't already know, Brickforge makes some very good Lego compatible Spartan armor.

Good review with good, clear pictures. But I'm wondering, how exactly is the game played?
-
Well, as you can see from the picture, it just has scratched part of the black printing.

For being a Greeble Monster, it doesn't have a whole lot of greebles. But overall it's a very nice mech, the feet are my favorite part.
-
Shadows ended up not buying them, so they are all still available.

I last watched the ultimate edition of Predator yesterday afternoon. Great movie, always a classic.

I'm... genuinely disturbed. Poop dawg? -Runs-

The three SW sets you'd like TLG to release
kill will replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Jawas But I would like a Geonosis playset as suggested, but maybe one from the Clone Wars scheduled to appear in the next episode of the TV series. A Jedi Temple would also be good, but there would be a distinct lack of conflict other than Anikan's massacre or the Holocron Heist, but it would have to be a very large set, especially if based of the Heist episode, with laser traps and the ventilation system. And then anything that has new, unique, Alien minifigs. -
Well, I live fairly close to Detroit, and I love evil clowns (Stephen King's IT anyone?) so I'm going as a gangsta clown. It's a pretty simple costume, just baggy pants, a sweatshirt, fake bling, and clown makeup.

I have one in new condition, but it has been used a bit in displays. I also have quite a few other Batman figures, Catwoman, Two-Face, the Joker, Killer Croc, and the Penguin. I might be interested in Ninjas or Indy figures, but I do live in the US. Shipping for quite a few figures to England is under $2.

Power Miners 2010 Model Pics
kill will replied to BrickMonster MonsterBrick's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Well, the title of the thread is Power Miners 2010 Model Pics, and it's only two pictures of figures. -
That's excellent! Great use of the droid arms

I only have Queen Leonara's top, I think I lost the skirt when I was small. As for the old style minifig legs, they always make me think 'Mermaid' when I see them.

Interesting story, but some parts don't make sense, mainly the King randomly disappearing (which sides King is it?) and how that would affect the Altlanteans "sleep" As for the vehicles, I love the crocodile one, but the Octopus really just has a tacked on harness and doesn't look very good IMHO.

What if LEGO changed the name of the Castle theme?
kill will replied to -The Hyphen-'s topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Would you push them down a dry well? But uh, I came too late to see anything but Kingdoms sounds the best. -
I love it! The signs are great and flashy, like ones you would see in Tokyo streets. Nice part usage with P-Squiddy's head!

The plastic used for the dynamite is the same as the katanas, walkie-talkies, batman guns, and a few others that don't come to mind I assume the reason is so the fuse or blade or antennae can flex a bit without snapping. I dislike it though because the minifig hands shred it up and it looks horrible after some use.

I noticed that mistake as well, it's pretty ridiculous that Lego can't bother to get pics right, if it's wrong why did they even put in the catalog?
