  1. Wow, more ridiculous Lego video game rumors? It's funny that some people actually believe that would happen.
  2. Just as I had suspected, I was living in a movie! Nice sets TinyPiesRUs, they did the job well.
  3. 21 P Theldor Baggins was drowning. Some horrible creature was pulling him deeper and deeper into the dark water near the island of the Undead. He could clearly remember how he had gotten himself into this predicament, the vampires had just retreated and they were dumping the dead into the water. Then something had grabbed the bodies and pulled them to the bottom of the ocean, along with Theldor, who was helping dump the dead. And now he was going down to the bottom of the ocean to be devoured by some sort of hungry sea monster. :skull:
  4. Yes. Nice but the TV people are too plain.
  5. Mega-Bloks. The pieces don't fit together well, and as of now, they are more expensive than Lego. When I was about 5 years old, there was a big Mega-Blok battleship at a garage sale for 7$. I bought it, not knowing any better, and when I opened it, it was just a bunch of grey basic pieces with no instruction manual. Luckily, it had some real Lego mixed in, by far the best part. I couldn't build the actual model without the instructions, so in my Lego bin it went. About two months later, I got so frustrated with the pieces not fitting that I sorted all the Mega-Bloks out and threw them away. Then recently I bought a very expensive bag of Lego from the resale shop in town, it was 17$ for two smallish bags, but there was a lot of classic pirate and arctic stuff and I figured it was worth it. Anyways, i brought it home and opened it, and, what do you know, it was a bunch of clone bricks. I was furious, and resale shops don't accept returns, so I sorted the real Lego out, cleaned and dumped it into my collection. Then I took the clone bricks to the old, unused sandbox in my yard and built fortifications for some plastic soldiers. Then I blasted it to bits with a combination of a .22, BB gun, and 9mm guns. After the bricks were tiny chunks of cheap plastic, I piled them up and burned them. :skull: In conclusion, Mega-Bloks and other clone brands are only good for one thing, destruction. :skull:
  6. No, I have Jun-Chi and he's pretty solid. Anyway, nice review The Cobra, I really wish I had bought that set when I could.
  7. Yeah, the picture doesn't work. Though I can't wait to see it it!
  8. Hm, early last year I ordered a Race for the Stolen Treasure set, and one of the Germans was missing his hat. I went online for a replacement part, filled everything out, and never got a reply or confirmation or anything like that. On a side note, when I ordered the set, it never came. I never got an E-mail saying there was a problem, or anything. My credit card never got billed, so I re-ordered and I finally got it, two months after the original order. And the hat was missing, and I never got a replacement. This is also when I stopped buying from S@H. I never got replacements, so I'm not sure you'll get any of your pieces, but I wish you best of luck.
  9. Gasp! That is exactly what it looks like! I never would have figured that one out by myself.
  10. And Big Daddy Claus' red revolver? Anyways great MOC and story.
  11. Sharks with frickin' laser beams! What more can be said, really. Anyways, great review ISC, though I personally don't care for the set.
  12. Hmm, it looks a bit like the lower half of a Scala fig that's upside down with pointy black shoes and wrinkly skin and a shoelace in the middle of it's chest. Or it could be some alien lifeform trying to kill your mini-figs. Or it could be something completely random, which I think is most likely. Looks weird so far,
  13. Nice! I like how you built the crosses into the castle walls.
  14. Cows rule! Nice story, and the scene is built well.
  15. Nice! It looks a bit like a bladed grenade launcher with a laser sight to me.
  16. Wow, neat, I can think of so many uses for that! From Post-Apoc survivors to futuristic firemen (changes the flames to light blue), it will heat up (or cool off) the situation.
  17. Ooh, I love it! It has so many details, a great river with a (man or woman?) fishing with the ninja sneaking up behind him/her, the guards meeting the other guy, the roof lining, the rice paddy, everything is just pure awesome. Great job oo7!
  18. I think the official cow is big enough, it's shorter but much plumper than the BrickForge cow, which is tall and thin. I honestly can't decide which cow I prefer, though I like the TLC cow's cute face and that it looks like the cows that would be lined up in a Butcher Shop MOC. The BrickForge cows are the kind you would see grazing in a field in mid-summer, not really fat or thin. I am glad TLC finally made a one piece animal besides the horse, even though BrickForge already offers them.
  19. My last set of '08 was the Agent's Gold hunt set, and that was over two months ago! The first set I will get for 2009 is probably going to be a smaller Power Miners set and nothing else for a while.
  20. I would like to join, if possible.
  21. Nice! I especially like the archway above the door and its stony look.
  22. Theme name: Hot Pursuit Characters: Police and robbers Conflict: Robbers stealing cars, robbing banks, etc. Setting: Lego City Background Info: Vehicle based theme, from small trike chases to semi-truck pursuit, with small gates or other obstructions to dodge. Summary: A town subtheme that's vehicle based!
  23. What happened? Bionicle sets were really simple when it started, just a body block, 1 piece limbs and a head. Then the slightly more complicated Bohrok came, then the Bohrok-Kal and Toa Nuva. Then the Mask of Light franchise started, giving Bionicle (And Lego) their first movie. The Rahkshi also had the first jointed legs, and Makuta made his first appearance. It also was when the Mata-Nui storyline ended, leaving fans asking "What next?" Then BAM! The Metru-Nui storyline started with jointed arms and legs. At first the enemy was the Morbuzahk? then it switched to the Vahki and introduced the 'Brotherhood of Makuta' with Krekka and Nidihki. It was like pulling a Lucas, with the Turaga actually past heroes and all the other crap. And THEN the Toa-Metru were transformed into the Hordika and Visorak invaded Metru-Nui with Sidorak and Roodaka leading them. I don't even remember the backstory behind the Keetongu guy, or how the Hordika turned into Turaga. After that they dumped the prequel story line and made Voya-Nui, the far away island with the Mask of Life. By the way, what's up with the masks to save Mata-Nui? He is so needy. Some Matoran predictably turn into Toa with squishy masks and flashy light up swords. Fighting bad guys with squishy mask/spines and huge grins. Makuta returns as a vat of goo that infects innocent li'l Matoran! Then the Toa go underground for the mask and find Vezon on his big steed with the mask in his head! They beat him up and manage to sink Voya-Nui, good little Toa that they are. Enter the ocean! Evil sea-like creatures bully underwater matoran for the Mask of Life, but the Toa come and get the mask, Matoro saves Mata-nui (Or so I thought) and then, oh, they're flying! They've got jet-packs or wings and fight flying Makuta, although I didn't quite catch why... and do something or other on oversized speeders to save Mata-Nui and think they did, but then 'Oh Snap!' Makuta is in control of the show, and 2008 ends. From what I've gathered so far, they dumped all of that for the Glatorian. These guys have actual hands, something Bionicle seems to have been avoiding for a while, and huge cartoony weapons and weird masks. If you look back to the original sets, the plain simple masks and weapons and compare them to these guys it's weird. The Glatorian seem so un-Bionicle, with organic looking torsos and weapons. The earlier ones were much more robotic, with crude, un-shapely bodies. I liked that, it set Bionicles apart from action figures, but it seems like the designers decided that kids want humanoid, slim figures with big guns and swords. I think that the Mask of Light should have been the end, it seemed to have concluded the story. But then a prequel was made, probably due to Bionicle's popularity. A prequel is okay if done right. Like a short prequel. But a second year was added, and then Voya-Nui. (I still don't see how that fits into the main story) And that branched off for 2 more years. And now a completely new everything. I don't like how Bionicle has been dragged along for almost 9 years, and perhaps longer. I think it should have ended at Metru-Nui, but it still is going. I quit buying Bionicles when Voya-Nui happened, and never was an avid fan, but I don't think Bionicle is going in the right direction. Its been dying since '06, and I think it just died. Of course, that's only my opinion. If you read this whole rant, you must really be bored, like me.
  24. Sweetness! I love the bat design on the respirator, and the helmet!
  25. Angry dragon will eat you... Very nice! You made it look great in B&W, I wonder how it would look in color? Good luck in the contest!
