  1. Hi there. Please refrain from posting topics such as this before you even have pictures. Also, many people find excessive use of emoticons annoying, so you may want to use them wisely.
  2. Thanks, guys! I'm glad to be able to join the Town team.
  3. Happy birthday, Chris!
  4. Welcome to Eurobricks, mgman! We've got a topic in the Community forum just for anything Canadian, so check it out.
  5. Happy birthday, def!
  6. The Ninja was found!?
  7. The bag "Bag Tax" is only in Toronto, and a few other jurisdictions, with some chains charging it throughout their stores. Now, back on topic.
  8. Not to mention when I try to fix it! Congrats on the MOC Expert Tag, by the way.
  9. Happy birthday again. Pandy!
  10. Congrats Rufus! I'm surprised it took this long, and I hope I get to play on the same team as you some more in the future.
  11. Very impressive, Lasse. Is the truck a Sino? Are you going to make the trailer extendable, or a fixed length?
  12. It's been a year now since I first proposed to Lasse D that we work together to create a Mercedes Actros car carrier, along with a Honda S2000 and Ford GT, as per this topic. Lasse built a Model Team version, while I tackled the minifig-scaled one. My goal was to include as many features and details that are on the Model Team scale version as possible, while Lasse aimed to build a motorized model. These are the results. The truck is a Mercedes Actros, the red car is a Honda S2000 and the white car is a Ford GT. Mercedes Actros Car Transporter by Ricecracker., on Flickr Though not quite as impressive as Lasse's 12 cars, mine can hold 8-9 when fully loaded. Mercedes Actros Car Transporter by Ricecracker., on Flickr The two lower end ramps on the trailer are both hinged, as are all three upper ramps on the trailer and single upper ramp on the truck itself. 13. Happy birthday guys!
  14. Happy birthday Phred!
  15. This MOC took surprisingly little time to build, but I'm very happy with it. It is a Brush Fire Truck built on an International WorkStar chassis, heavily inspired by this MatchBox truck, as well as real Brush Trucks. I had this on display at both BrickWorld and BrickFete, and I'm glad to say it was well received by both AFOLs and the public. The photos are by a photographer in my LUG. 16. There were 71 full registrants. No indication of numbers for the public, though more than enough people came to support Brickfete again. I'm Jeff will post here once the public numbers are tallied. I had a great time all-around, seeing old friends and meeting new ones. One of the highlights for me was the speed build on Friday night, which I got to do with Blueandwhite, SI-Mocs, Dr-Spock and others. Thanks for the amazing weekend, everyone!
  17. Looks great Hinck! Unfortunately, I'll be away for a bit in the middle of August, so I won't be able to sign up.
  18. I can't believe we won! Seriously, though, I had actually just left my computer when Foog tried his thing. I came back about 10 minutes later, saw that Rufus PMed me, and I was immediately wondering why he couldn't have just posted on the writeboard. A bit of a moment. I had to go to Brickfete just after (?) both Fugazi and Def voted for Rufus, so I basically said "I guess there's a still a chance we can do this. Good luck. Oh, also, I'm leaving for the rest of the day." I thought we were screwed. I got home that night around 10 hours later, opened up the writeboard, and there were tons of messages from Rufus. "Vote for Foog now and we can win!" Sent 8 hours ago. So, I opened up the day thread here. I had one tab opened writing out my vote, another tab open reading through what I'd missed (about 3 pages worth), and another open to the list of Tammo's recent posts to make sure he hadn't unvoted Foog. I also noticed Tammo was reading the thread, so I kept refreshing to make sure he didn't unvote. Definitely stressful at the end there! I had a great time playing with Rufus and Shadows, and everyone else! Thank you very much for hosting the game, Quarry, especially amidst some real life troubles.
  19. Indeed. Only time will tell.
  20. Please keep this to PMs. Thanks.
  21. Vote: Fuschia (Fugazi) I'm really not convinced of Fuschia's baiting as loyal behaviour.
