  1. It's been taken care of...
  2. The start of the contest is when it was first posted.
  3. Yes. 1) As per the rules, it should fit in with the other Modular Buildings. Most include an interior. 2) Again, it should fit in with the other modulars. I would not consider that example to fit in with the other modulars. Yes, as long as it fits in with the other modular buildings.. The sidewalk must look appropriate next to other modulars. This means that smaller sidewalks are acceptable if there are crates and other street furniture on it, but it should ultimately be about 8 studs deep.
  4. As others have mentioned, it does say custom. It does say it is a promo item from for minifigures.pl, not from LEGO themselves, although I do agree it is misleading. The seller appears to have taken down the auction, so I'll close this.
  5. Fairview seems to change out some parts every few days, so yes, it does differ. Off the top of my head I remember blue 1x8 tiles, dark tan 2x2 tiles, blue 1x4 plate, trans dark blue 1x1 rounds and trans orange cheese as being the interesting parts. I know they had other nice parts too, but I can't remember any specifics.
  6. We have the Ideas for New City Sets thread for ideas such as yours.
  7. The idea is that it would sit alongside the buildings, thus requiring a sidewalk to complete the street. Yes, to a point. It should still compliment the current range of modulars. Take the Town Hall, for instance. It was inspired by and based off of real town halls the designer saw. She then took the key elements from it and made her own building. Check the rules again on how to enter.
  8. Official stickers count as official LEGO parts, so yes, those are allowed. That rule is in reference to custom parts.
  9. Fairview Mall Store has series seven, R2D2, new buildable Marvel sets and nice PaB parts. Fairview had all three today.
  10. Where's my banner? - I entrusted banner design to someone a bit more qualified than I, and waited ever-so-patiently for it.
  11. Once per category. Rules updated.
  12. Classic-Town.net and Eurobricks invite you to create your own addition to the popular modular building subtheme that TLG has presented throughout the last five years. Since 2007, LEGO has released a large modular-style building in the exclusives range every year. These have been extremely popular with both AFOLs and children alike, and it is now time for you to build your own addition to the modular street! See here for rules and discussion!

These have been extremely popular with both AFOLs and children alike, and it is now time for you to build your own addition to the modular street. There are three different categories to compete in. The Categories Category 1: Mini Addition For this category, you are to build an addition to the popular 10230 Mini Modulars. Entries must be 8x8. Category 2: Parks and Rec For this category, build something compatible with the other modular buildings that is not a building. Ideas include a park, garden, or public property. Category 3: Classic Modular For this category, you can build a modular building. Entries must be 32x32, and should include a sidewalk in accordance with the modular buildings. 17. Merged into the general 'Which set should I buy?' thread.
  18. Hi Lyle, I'm sorry to hear about the situation your family is in. I can appreciate that it takes a lot of courage to reach out and ask for help. Unfortunately, this isn't the place for it. I really hope you and your family can see that having each other is most important. If you'd like to talk about it any more, feel free to PM me. -Ricecracker
  19. Comics belong in the Brick Flicks and Comics forum. Doctor Who MOCs on their own go in Special Themes.
  20. Thanks for including that! I've removed it for the time being as it's very long, and many people won't want to scroll through it. It'd be awesome if you could put it in a Word document and attach it to your post for those interested.
  21. I wish we bought a fire truck!
  22. Then maybe you shouldn't say things like...
  23. You'd buy them even with how rare they are now.
