  2. Happy birthday :)
  3. How come I am still a wanted target...I never actually knew why I was....
  4. I think that xbox live makes the gaming experience somewhat better. I say this maily beause that I dont like when you play 4 persons on the same console, and then you only have 1/4 of the screen. BTW one of the best features of the xbox live is the voice chat. you can even talk to people who do not even play the same game as you do. Overall I would say that the console is worth the money, especially with games like dead or alive coming out soon. Do you have Xbox Live? If so, please can you PM you addy and we could have a few games one night... I myself have it and I think its great, I can now talk to my best friends who live in France and Doha, without using the phone. Plus you get to enjoy playing (and thrashing) others from the comfort of your own home....
  5. Heres some more news that I have found: And finally i can talk about Arkham. I think its a very dark and gloomy place. and I just love it. One thing that grand admiral forgot to say in his otherwise correct description is that the head of scarecrow is glow in the dark. and it's not 2 small penguins in the Batcave, it's 3! The Black/Grey Batman goes in 7779, 7780 & 7782 The all Black one goes in 7781, 7783 & 7785 (Arkham)
  6. Ive also found this: I have just received clearance from LEGO that I can talk about the stuff I saw at Enfield, so I'll try to answer some of your questions. 1. Dragster: Catwoman Pursuit #7779 (9.99 USD)comes with Catwoman on her moto..er Catcycle, and a dragster (not yet pictured). Which of the pictured minifigs does this set come with? Yes, it comes with a "Bat-dragster" that's actually a pretty cool little vehicle. I don't recall which color Batman. The Batboat has a small miniboat that ejects from the rear to give Batman a smaller vehicle to cruise around on. Croc also has his own small "jetski" vehicle. This set comes with the Gray-suited Batman figure with the old-style black bat on his chest. It also comes with some of Two-Face's henchmen. The Two-Face armored car is pretty cool as well. It has flip-down doors on the sides that hide secret weapons. It also has a fun action feature: The rear of the car has a round piece that's connected to a lever that flips up the roof. If you fire the Batmobile's missile into this round piece, it ejects Two-Face from the roof of his armored car! The armored car has some nice detailing. One half of it is "rough" and dark, with exposed LEGO studs (bumps) on the roof, and the other half is white and has LEGO tiles on the roof to make it look smooth. Two-Face comes with a couple of "tommy-gun" style weapons, which is a first for LEGO. In the past, sets like Star Wars have included something like a megaphone turned backward with a clear element to suggest a weapon. These are out-and-out GUNS. Not the sort of thing that has been common in "modern" LEGO sets. As mentioned, the Batmobile has a rubber-tipped spring-loaded projectile (some of you may have seen this mechanism in other LEGO sets) that fires when you press a button. The Batmobile itself bears a strong resemblance to the first one from the Burton movies. This set comes with the black-suited Batman. The Joker copter comes with a Joker henchman and Big J himself. The ToyFare photo doesn't show the ladder in its proper location. The ladder is supposed to connect to the radar dish shown near the front of the helicopter. If you hit this dish, it tilts forward, releasing the ladder, causing Joker to fall. There are two "secret" doors on the sides of the helicopter that open to reveal weapons. (cones that could be "missiles" or "lasers") The Batwing looks far better in person than it does in photos. There is some nice curved slope usage that gives it contours that aren't immediately obvious from the photos. The rear halves of the wings tilt up a small amount (perhaps 20 degrees) and some small levers on the sides are used to push forward and expose some "missiles". The pointed "tail" of the Batwing can be tilted back to reveal another one of the rubber-tipped spring-loaded projectiles. You can try to "shoot" the radar dish on the Joker copter with it. This set comes with the black-suited Batman figure. The Batcave comes with Alfred, Bruce, Robin, and a Batman figure (sorry I don't recall which, but I think it's the black one) It contains a series of the "mesh" style 8x8 LEGO plates to give it a "platform" look. There are lots of ladders and "bridges" to other platforms. The central platform has the large Batcomputer console with his technical equipment. One of the other platforms has a rotating Batsuit chamber that you place Bruce into, spin it around, and take out Batman. On the "ground" level there is a large rotating "parking pad" where you can park the included "Bat-ski" vehicle. It's about the same size as the Batmobile but it has big ice runners on it to imply that it's a large snowmobile-type craft. I think the parking pad may also be large enough to hold the Batmobile from the other set. Robin has a jetski vehicle with the R logo and small wings. Also in this set are Penguin and Mr Freeze! Penguin comes with a Penguin Submarine that allows him to sit either inside or atop the "conning tower". He also has two small brick-built penguins with revolvers. I was very impressed with the little penguin figures. Mr Freeze comes with an "ice" block that you may have seen in some of the previous LEGO Alpha Team sets. You can place a minifig inside the ice block to appear "frozen". As I said above, Robin comes in the Batcave set. So what set contains these other characters? Hmm... Ok, ok, before you all kill me... ARKHAM ASYLUM! Yes, that's right, it's an Arkham set. Someone in another thread here at LoG posted a photo of the Harry Potter castle set as a potential inspiration for Arkham. Well you were spot-on. The Arkham set is built in a similar, modular fashion, but in dark, "Batman" style colors. Blacks, Dark Grays, Browns are the color palette of Arkham. Arkham comes with a "wrought iron" front gate and 3 buildings. The center building is the largest, at 16 studs wide. It has the front door with an internal sliding "jail" door that you can use to block it. Above the door on the outside is a small trapdoor you can open that allows a rope to fall out. On the inside of the central building, the second floor contains 3 cells that are openable by a clever mechanism you operate with a lever on the side of the building. The prototype I saw had stickers on the cells that said "Riddler, Two-Face, and Penguin" ( I think) Hopefully there will be more stickers included with the set so you can put different names on the cells. The other two buildings are only 8 studs wide and serve as "towers" of Arkham. On the inside, upper floor is the Scarecrow's cell. The outside of the building has a small "gargoyle" that looks remarkably like Scarecrow. If you push in the gargoyle, it knocks off the wall and door to Scarecrow's cell, allowing him to escape. Scarecrow has a barrel and some bales of "straw" in his cell. The lower level of this building has two large, curved, "wrought iron" elements that are held closed with a tile that has a lock printed on it. Looks like a cell for the Joker, perhaps? The last small building piece contains a "glass" cell with "vine" stickers for... you guessed it. Poison Ivy! There were some LEGO plant elements inside the cell with her. The upper level of this building has a "restraining table" with some "tools" in the room... for interrogation, perhaps? Also present in this set was Nightwing on his motorcycle, the Riddler, and an Arkham van that contains what looks like a medical restraining bed. You can put one of the villains with batcuffs inside the van for "prisoner transport" And Finally, the UCS Batmobile set. This is a large set, probably was about 18" long. (I think) It was very detailed, had an opening cockpit. The "jet" in the rear had flame pieces attached, and would spin if you roll the batmobile forward. This will make an excellent display set. Phew... that's about all I can remember. I've been bottling all this info for a month, so I think I'll go lie down now. Maybe Reideen1313 can fill in any details I missed or correct any errors. And finally, the sets I saw were PROTOTYPES, so please do not blame me if some details change.

  13. Hello :)
  14. Some examples of why the human race has probably evolved as far as possible. These are actual instruction labels on consumer goods... On Sears hairdryer: Do not use while sleeping. (Gee, that's the only time I have to work on my hair!) On a bag of Fritos: You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside. (The shoplifter special!) On a bar of Dial soap: Directions: Use like regular soap. (and that would be how?) On some Swann frozen dinners: Serving suggestion: Defrost. (But it's 'just' a suggestion!) On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert: (printed on bottom of the box) Do not turn upside down. (Too late! you lose!) On Marks & Spencer Bread Pudding: Product will be hot after heating. (Are you sure? Let's experiment.) On packaging for a Rowenta iron: Do not iron clothes on body. (But wouldn't that save more time?)(Whose body?) On Boot's Children's cough medicine: Do not drive car or operate machinery. (We could do a lot to reduce the construction accidents if we just kept those 5 year olds off those fork lifts.) On Nytol sleep aid: Warning: may cause drowsiness. (One would hope!) On a Korean kitchen knife: Warning: keep out of children. (hmm...something must have gotten lost in the translation...) On a string of Christmas lights: For indoor or outdoor use only. (As opposed to use in outer space.) On a food processor: Not to be used for the other use. (Now I'm curious.) On Sainsbury's peanuts: Warning: contains nuts. (but no peas?) On an American Airlines packet of nuts: Instructions: open packet, eat nuts. (somebody got paid big bucks to write this one...) On a Swedish chainsaw: Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands. (Raise your hand if you've tried this...) And my all time faviourite..... On a child's Superman costume: Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly. (Oh go ahead! That's right, destroy a universal childhood belief.)
