Yep, Will's working to supply and resupply all of the official BrickArms resellers, including Brick Republic, with all the newest BrickArms accessories. I can't say exactly when each reseller will be supplied (my own personal experiences with Canada Post were pretty hairy!) I'd recommend you contact Brick Republic or any one else's reseller of choice for specific information for that reseller.

Joey, I've already addressed this issue. All I can say is that builders have made it very clear they're interested in anything new from BrickArms, and regardless of what may or may not be already on the market, Will's talents and skill as an accessory designer mean the resulting accessories are original and distinctive. I'd also point out Will does create the designs for all BrickArms accessories, and that is part of the development time; if he were to ship some rough sketches off to China or let others do the design work for him, not worrying about the overall quality and aesthetic of the parts, he could very likely produce accessories at a faster pace, but that's just not how Will works; folks have come to expect the best from BrickArms, and Will's happy work hard and take the time to ensure that's what they get!

As I said above and the record of Will consistently releasing more BrickArms accessories every year shows, nearly every single item Will designs and prototypes eventually sees mass production. Moreover, with his system for prototyping working as smoothly as it has, official resellers handling the day-to-day management of orders for accessories, and Will now working with an extremely talented tooler who shares his dedication to quality and detail, builders can expect more new accessories from BrickArms at a faster pace than ever before. That's quite honestly all that can be said on the matter, and as I mentioned, I'd appreciate it if the focus from this point onward could be on the newly released accessories BrickArms. Mythos, you're more than welcome to pass on my comments to your husband, Asterios, if that helps to clarify the matter to him!

To be clear, I only raised the matter as it was the sole content of Joey Lego's post. Yes, Will is more than aware many builders are exceptionally interested in BrickArms accessories, especially those items that have been unveiled to the building community as prototypes. Will has been showcasing BrickArms prototypes for several years now, and overall, he's gotten incredible feedback from the community that they love the ability to give feedback on designs in progress, and that community feedback has been critical in the development of several BrickArms accessories. Yes, producing custom accessories of the quality of BrickArms products does take time, but the vast majority of prototypes do see mass production; after all, Will wouldn't take the time to design and prototype a new accessory if he didn't think it was worth the time! Overall, BrickArms prototypes are just that: designs in progress that will most likely see mass production one day, but are still in development. That development takes time, but considering the exceptional results it yields, I think most would say it's more than worth it!

As part of this release? No. As part of a future release? Definitely! In the future, why not focus on what IS part of a set of new items and rest assured Will's ALWAYS working on adding even more new accessories to the BrickArms line-up. Yes, it can take time, but that's because Will knows builders expect only the best from BrickArms and he wants to ensure anything new is done right!

Just though I'd pass along with information here: I'll be bringing two different custom figures to Brickfair 2011 next month, and at this point, I can unveil one, the Southside Gangster! The figure includes: Showcasing all of the accessories included with the Southside Gangster: Gunmetal Tommy Gun and Drum prototypes Brown SABR Shotgun prototype Time Bomb prototype Brown Baseball Bat Gunmetal BAR Gunmetal M1911 Pistol Gunmetal M1916 Pistol Bloody-Printed Silver Combat Knife LEGO Handcuffs Brown LEGO Briefcase Cost = $25 The figure will go on sale Friday morning when the BrickArms/Brickmania tables open, likely around 9:00 - 9:30am and be available until the end of the convention on Sunday or while supplies last. Any figures available at the end of the convention will be given to Brickmania to vend online. Please do not ask me to hold any figures for you or vend them to you online. Sorry, but this is an exclusive for the convention! If you can't attend, I'd recommend asking someone to pick one up for you!

Just a quick update about this accessory: it will be included with the Southside Gangster figure I'll be bringing to Brickfair 2011!: Also included with the figure: the new BrickArms SABR ("Shotgun for Assault, Breaching, and Riot control"): This is an exclusive for Brickfair 2011, but if you know someone who's attending, you can always ask them to pick one up for you! Both the Tommy Gun and SABR are also slated for mass production, so you will be able to obtain them from all BrickArms resellers at some point in the future. Still, Will loves giving builders the chance to test designs early and give him the feedback that's helped make BrickArms synonymous with quality custom accessories.

2011 LEGO Architecture News & Rumours
the enigma that is badger replied to GRogall's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Not too bad! I live about three blocks away from the Robie house, and it's easily one of my favorite Wright designs. Still, it should be surrounded snappily-dressed microfigs praising Milton Friedman to represent Booth School of Business students for spot-on accuracy ;) -
Will Chapman recently shared this neat new prototype that will showcased at Brickfair next month, so I thought I'd pass on the fun news to everyone here: the BrickArms Tommy Gun! The design features a removable ammo drum, similar to what is included with the BrickArms PPSh. The accessory is still in the prototype phase but will be available at Brickfair included with a convention-exclusive figure which will be unveiled later this month.

Will created all the Mystery Packs sealed in the opaque bags with the accessories already sorted inside then provided them to resellers. The contents are a mystery to the resellers, too! Also nice: the bag itself is resealable, so it makes for a nice way to store all your accessories. Plus, the seal must be broken to open the pack, so anyone tries to sell/trade you one, you'll be able to instantly tell if its already been opened! BrickArms has a few European resellers that would work well for you: MinifigforLife - located in the UK Warehouse 19 - located in Sweden There is also a Belgium reseller that will be coming online shortly. Bon chance et j'espere vous aimez les produits des BrickArms! ;)

With just how reminiscent the Series 4 Soccer (Football, I know, but that's what LEGO calls him . . . at least on the US site!) Player torso is to the Argentina jersey, it had to be done! I also thought I'd build a more recent coach version of him as well considering it was only last year during the World Cup I became aware of him. Simple, but I'm happy with how close the fig turned out to the inspiration!

Our Zorro (Dieter) passing away
the enigma that is badger replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Pirates
My sincere condolences to Dieter's survivors and the entire EB staff. It was my pleasure to get to know Dieter through this board, and he was an exceptionally friendly, generous person who will truly be missed by all. -
As many of you might be already be aware, Will Chapman of BrickArms has been exploring the concept of a modern/sci take on the Sterling SMG (something Star Wars builders might find particularly useful) for some time now. Here is the original version with features a scope and a non-removable magazine: However, Will recently revisited the design with the new Advanced Sterling SMG prototype: This updated version does not feature a scope but does have a removable magazine. That magazine can be inserted into any BrickArms accessory with a similar slot (as seen here) and any tabbed accessory (like the Ammo Drum included with the BrickArms MG42) can be attached to the Advanced Sterling SMG. Will is also currently considering designing a longer, curved magazine like used with real like Sterling: As Will continues to explore this concept, he'd like to know what builders would be most interested in seeing! Is the incorporation of the slot-tab system something you like? Do you prefer the scoped or non-scope version? Ultimately, Will wants to produce a design that the most number of builders will find useful in their building, so any constructive feedback you have will be most appreciated!

As unveiled at the recent (and absolutely fantastic!) NILTC Christmas Show, three great new prototypes of designs Will Chapman recently created! MG34 Advanced Recon Carbine (ARC) - based on SOPMOD M4 variants Will also has updated one older design as his concept of a more modern/scifi take on the Sterling SMG continues to evolve - the Advanced Sterling SMG The magazine is removable and can be attached to any BrickArms accessory with the LMG slot. Builders can also attach any of the tabbed BrickArms accessories into the Sterling: The magazine inserted into the MG34: Some notes on these items: - Like all BrickArms prototypes, it can't be said when these will be made available from BrickArms and official resellers - When it is released, the ARC will not replace the current BrickArms M4 but exist along side it. More options to pick what accessory works best for you figs! Hope you all like them! Will always appreciates any and all constructive feedback the community has to offer, so if there's something you like and/or feel could be improved, please post here to let him know!

NILTC 9th Annual Holiday Show
the enigma that is badger replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
The NILTC guys were kind enough to offer me an invitation to attend the event this weekend, and man, it was fantastic! The layouts themselves were all great builds, and the public seemed to really love everything on display. Even more impressive was the number of people who made it out to the show despite the winter storm on Sunday. What's a little snow, ice, and wind when it comes to LEGO? ;) Congrats to the NILTC on a great show! -
BrickArms finishes up 2010 with one final release - BrickArms 2010: German WWII Minifigs! Included in this release: "Johann" "Wilhelm" "Fritz" Will has also updated the camouflage free items currently being included with each BrickArms order: Jungle and Winter camo! All of these figures, as well as the free camo item(s), are available only from BrickArms. This will be the final update to the BrickArms website for 2010, so if you've been waiting to place an order, now's the time to pick up the incredible assortment of custom items BrickArms has released over the year! While this is the last release for this year, plans are already underway to make 2011 even bigger, so stay tuned for more great custom accessories and minifigs from BrickArms!
-
One neat of bit of news that I forgot to mention: while supplies last, Will is including a custom printed camo weapon as the free item(s) included with every order made with BrickArms! Note: Will can produce only a limited number of these items, so the above only applies orders made directly from the BrickArms and not only official BrickArms resellers. For more information about the free items resellers are currently feature, contact the reseller directly. If you'd like Minifigworld to stock the BrickArms Cricket Bat, you can always ask them to! The Cricket Bat is also available in Tan in the new Zombie Defense Packand the Shaun custom fig (soon to be added to the MFW line-up). Nope, all you need to do is find the BrickArms reseller that's best for you! Most feature international shipping and would be happy for your orders! The main reason why more WWII figs aren't currently available is that minifig parts, especially those in certain colors like tan, can be very difficult to obtain in the volume Will needs. However, Will has been looking into different sources for parts, and Will DEFINITELY plans to keep producing more custom figs, including those in the WWII theme.
