Hi everyone,
I hope this is the right section to share this project. If not, I apologize and I will gladly move or remove the post.
My name is Dario and I’m working on a large-scale brick-built model of the R.N. Roma, the Italian battleship of the Regia Marina that was sunk on September 9, 1943.
The model is designed in 1:35 scale and is planned to be around 7 meters long, made of around 170,000 pieces and divided into modular sections. The goal is to eventually build it physically and bring it to exhibitions, fairs and historical outreach events as a large naval display model.
The ship has now been officially revealed after months of teaser images and technical details. I’m especially interested in feedback from experienced builders regarding large structures, modular construction, display logistics and long-term stability.
This is not a sales post: the Kickstarter campaign has not launched yet. There is only a pre-launch page for anyone interested in following the project and clicking “Notify me on launch” (search for: "R.N. Roma 1:35 Scale Brick Model" on Kickstarter)
I’d be very grateful for any feedback, criticism or advice from the community.
