  1. I understand your point, but disagree. Every character that is added to lore beyond the OT could be argued to be shoehorned, Qui-Gon Jinn for instance, came out of nowhere, died in the same movie and transformed Obi's decision to train Anakin into a promise to his dying master. That I feel could be argued to be detracting. BUT I still love him, his book series with Obi Wan is amazing and his whole vibe is great. With Ahsoka, I feel she has a very clear arc, that does connect to her powers, whatever they are that you do not enjoy (she has regular force powers). Her presence in canon I argue does add to the characters she talks to, her departure from the Jedi Order being one of the reason that Anakin is susceptible to Palpatine's manipulation is one example of her adding to it. All in all, I love her and could talk about her place in canon for hours
  2. Rewatching clone Wars and reading old forum threads is my new favorite way to watch Star Wars! Seeing how people interpreted trailers and episodes is fascinating. Also, a lot more Ahsoka hate than one would think lmao.
